Elizabeth Banks attended the Met Ball as shoe designer Brian Atwood's date and wore custom-made heels by him (also named after her).

She wore a rather risky (for her), gold sequined jacket dress from the Atelier Versace Spring 2013 collection with the shoes.

This was one of the most unique looks of the night, and also one of my favourites.

Elizabeth Banks attended the celebration of the release of her movie 'People Like Us' in New York City last Tuesday.

She was in colourful spirits, in this Jill Stuart Resort 2012 dress.  The demure silhouette of the dress was contrasted by the bright, bold print.

Elizabeth wore it with blue earrings and equally colourful Barbara Bui pumps.

Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab - 'People Like Us' NYC Screening

Elizabeth Banks attended the screening of her new comedy 'People Like Us' in New York City on June 25th.

She glowed in an Elie Saab Fall 2012 cocktail dress.  The halter dress was completely embellished with crystals and looked wonderful, of course.

Elizabeth wore her hair in an updo and completed the look with Pierre Hardy sandals and an Edie Parker clutch.

Elizabeth Banks in J. Mendel - 'People Like Us' LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks attended yet another movie premiere last night, this time for her movie 'People Like Us' in LA.

She looked fabulous from head to toe.  A gold jacquard dress with a plunging neckline and cut outs from the J. Mendel Fall 2012 collection was paired with sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Her hair was swept up into an updo and she completed her look with complimenting jewelery and a clutch.

Elizabeth Banks in Bill Blass - USC Shoah Foundation Institute Ambassadors for Humanity Gala

Elizabeth Banks continues her good run in the fashion stakes.

Last week, she attended the USC Shoah Foundation Institute Ambassadors for Humanity Gala in Hollywood.

For the event, Elizabeth wore a teal satin Bill Blass Fall 2012 dress with black cut-outs at the waist.  She looked elegant in this dress.

It was styled with a quiff updo, triangular earrings and black sandals.

Elizabeth Banks wowed me at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.

She worked everything out of her Elie Saab Fall 2012 jumpsuit with lace cut-out panels and full sleeves.  A fierce top-knot, simple make-up and black Ruthie Davis pumps with gold heels completed the look.

I've never seen Elizabeth in something so fashion forward, but if her Met gala appearance was anything to go by, then I should have expected it.

Elizabeth Banks switched it up at the premiere of 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' in LA.

She rocked this maroon Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 dress with embroidery and a full skirt.  Her styling was impeccable at this event.

An updo with a gold brooch, bold eyelashes, pink lips, a matching McQueen clutch and two-tone pumps were the choice of accessories.

Elizabeth Banks appeared on the 'Late Show with David Letterman' last week.

She wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 dress with a portrait neckline.  Despite the length of the dress being shorter than what Elizabeth is usually seen in, she wears the dress well.

An elegant updo and gun-metal sandals, along with sparkly earrings were the finishing touches.  It's whimsical yet sophisticated.

Elizabeth Banks loves her colour and continues to wear it. Not complaining, of course.

She rocked up to the premiere of her movie 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' in NYC wearing a Peter Pilotto Fall 2012 dress.

The shimmery, floral dress with a key-hole neckline and embellishments was wonderful and worn just right by her with retro hair, pink lips and black accessories.

Elizabeth Banks commanded attention at the Met Gala this year.

She wore a Mary Katrantzou Fall 2012 gown which had some very visually powerful details like the shoulders, peplum and the digital print.

Elizabeth really stood her own though and reminded me of Tilda Swinton and Cate Blanchett - always a wonderful thing.

Elizabeth Banks in Peter Pilotto - 'The Five-Year Engagement' NYC Premiere

Elizabeth Banks attended the after-party of 'The Five-Year Engagement', at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC on Wednesday night.

'The Hunger Games' actress is currently in a colourful phase and so she wore separates from the Peter Pilotto Spring 2012 collection.

The pink, orange, pattern can be overwhelming with Elizabeth carried it off with aplomb. She wore blue suede pumps instead of nude/black which also impressed me.

At the Spring 2012 collection launch of the store Restoration Hardware, Elizabeth Banks wore yet another colourful dress.  I am liking this phase she's having very much.

She wore an Andrew Gn Spring 2012 dress in a dusty orange hue with a plunging neckline, draped sleeves and a thick belt around the waist.

Elizabeth finished her look by pulling her hair in a neat bun, and wearing large hoops and golden peep-toes.

Elizabeth Banks stole the show at the Berlin premiere of 'The Hunger Games'.

 For the night, she chose an Elie Saab Spring 2012 dress with embellishments in the most vivid tangerine hue.

Credit to Elizabeth for not letting such a strong colour overpower the rest of her look which consisted of wavy, old Hollywood hair and perfect make-up.

Elizabeth Banks wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 dress to the Paris premiere of 'The Hunger Games'.

Marc Jacobs' Fall RTW collection was an eclectic mix of textures, colours, shapes and sizes but I wasn't too sure how it would translate onto the red carpet.

Elizabeth however, totally owned the look; the sleeveless, berry coloured sequin dress with a rosette adorned neckline was lovely on the actress. 

She let the dress do the talking by going natural with her make-up and opting for black accessories.

Elizabeth Banks In Bill Blass - 'The Hunger Games' London Premiere

Elizabeth Banks is all about bright colours this week.

After wearing a Versace Couture dress at the LA premiere of 'The Hunger Games' (click here to see), she wore a Bill Blass Spring 2012 gown to the movie's London premiere.

  

The sunflower-yellow column dress with stripes of sequins, cap sleeves and a low back brightened up the scene.

 

 Elizabeth completed the look with a matching clutch & Jimmy Choo heels; I prefer her hair like this than that straight hairstyle she sported at the LA premiere.

For 'The Hunger Games' premiere, Elizabeth Banks wore a Versace Spring 2012 Couture dress.

I love the vivid tangerine hue and how it makes her blue eyes pop as well as all the detail on the one-shoulder mini.

She wisely opted for neutral accessories in the form of a Judith Leiber clutch & Jimmy Choo peeptoes that had a black wedge heel; however, I'm not loving her straight hairstyle on this occasion.

Elizabeth Banks wore a seriously fun dress at the Vanity Fair Oscar after party.

The Chadwick Bell dress has a lot going on: full sleeves, bright colours, polka dot, feathered train - but somehow it all works just perfectly.

This isn't something you'd find at an Awards red carpet or movie premiere but it was just right for an after party where the mood is laid-back.

An updo and Bulgari jewels completed her look.

Elizabeth Banks wore a Timo Weiland Spring 2012 dress to the Indies.

'The Hunger Games' actress was lovely in the water-colour digital print dress with a cutout on the the top and a pleated skirt with a slit.

A straight hairstyle, Kimberly McDonald jewelery and Christian Louboutin sandals completed her look.  I think I would have liked to see her hair up instead of the way she's worn it.
