Miranda Kerr in Dolce & Gabbana - ‘Mademoiselle C’ Premiere

Miranda Kerr joined fellow models and Carine Roitfeld at the premiere of her the latter's self-titled documentary 'Mademoiselle C' in New York City.

She looked striking in a curve-enhancing black ensemble consisting of a lace top and a long velvet, embroidered black skirt - all by Dolce & Gabbana.

I loved the gothic feel of the look, which was balanced out by Miranda's barely there make-up and strong brows.

Chrissy Teigen in Reem Acra, A.L.C & Helmut Lang - Elle Fashion Next Runway Show

Chrissy Teigen attended the Elle Fashion Next Runway Show at the David H. Koch Theatre in NYC last week.

She looked stylish in black separates which included an A.L.C top, Helmut Lang blazer and sparkly pants by Reem Acra.  The different textures and shapes prevent this ensemble from looking dull.

Chrissy's make-up looked flawless, as did her glossy, side-parted locks.

Katie Holmes in Carolina Herrera - 2012 Style Awards

Katie Holmes made an appearance at the 2012 Style Awards in New York City.

The Holmes & Yang designer presented the Designer of the Year award to the legendary Carolina Herrera.  Katie wore a crisp black shirt and a flared gold skirt with black embellishments by none other than Carolina Herrera.

It was a nice, simple look from the actress/designer, who completed the look with snakeskin pumps and a sleek ponytail.

Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli - 2012 Style Awards

Amy Adams made a surprising appearance at the 9th annual Style Awards, held at the start of NYFW.

Amy wore a deep purple, sequined dress by Giambattista Valli.  I adore this dress on her, the neckline, the skirt and the little flared hemline are all lovely.  The colour is perfect for the end of summer too.

A straight, sleek ponytail, diamond earrings,  black clutch and pointy pumps completed her look.  Even if she didn't crack a smile.

Nicole Richie in Anthony Vaccarello - 2012 Style Awards

Nicole Richie attended the 2012 Style Awards in a very risque dress.

She wore a navy and black mini with cut outs, a plunging neckline and lace side panels from the Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2012 collection.

The French designer is a favourite among models, who obviously have no problem wearing his skimpy designs on the red carpet but I would have never expected Nicole to wear a dress by him.  

That being said, she carries it off well, which is credible as it was easy to look cheap.  A sleek top-knot, smokey eye, Edie Parker clutch and sandals by Costume National finished off her look.

Katharine McPhee in Peter Pilotto - 2012 Style Awards

Katharine McPhee of 'Smash' attended the 8th Style Awards in New York City last night to start off NYFW.

She came to the event with bright colours and prints in this fitted Peter Pilotto Resort 2013 dress with short sleeves.

Katharine plays it pretty and feminine normally so I wasn't expecting to see a dress like this on her.  However, she does wear it well.

She wore it with platform teal pumps by Charlotte Olympia and a clutch by R&Y Augosti.

Shailene Woodley In Jason Wu - New York Fashion Week

Shailene Woodley sat front row at the Jason Wu Fall 2012 show on Friday in NYC.

The actress wore a striped black, blue & green sweater from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection with a black shirt, tailored pants and strappy heels.

She stuck to her minimal style by putting her long hair into a messy ponytail and keeping a fresh face; although I can't help but feel that some cool gold jewelery would have really added interest to her look.
