Vera Farmiga in Theyskens' Theory - 2013 Emmy Awards

Vera Farmiga, the lead actress in 'Bates Motel' wore a custom Theyskens' Theory gown to the Emmys this year.

It's always a love or hate thing with Vera on the red carpet and I am not loving this black gown at all.  It's unnecessarily voluminous and does nothing for the actress. There was an imbalance between classic and modern with this dress and it didn't work for me.

Vera Farmiga In Naeem Khan - 7th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Vera Farmiga was back in the spotlight after a long time.

She wore a Naeem Khan Spring 2012 dress to the Snowflake Ball.

The dress worked really well on Vera despite having a tricky silhouette (those tiers could have gone wrong!) and a busy looking, embellished top.

She wore it with an low ponytail, a stone necklace and an ivory clutch.
