Padma Lakshmi reigned the red carpet in a baby blue Kaufman Franco ensemble, at this year's Emmys.
The 'Top Chef' host and model looked like an absolute goddess in the pastel creation with an illusion back, that she paired with some delicious gold jewellery including that amazing statement cuff.
Straight hair and minimal make-up finished her look.

Zooey Deschanel attended the 2013 Emmy Awards in LA last night.
The actress, whose style is often labelled 'quirky', actually toned it down in favour of a classic, restrained approach.
The periwinkle J. Mendel column dress was just stunning on Zooey, who wore it with a voluminous hairstyle, white Charlotte Olympia platform pumps and a glittering Edie Parker clutch.

Mindy Kaling, the genius behind 'The Mindy Project', attended the 2013 Emmys.
She wore a dark, plum coloured Edition by Georges Chakra dress with a cut-out and embellished neckline and short sleeves. The colour was incredible on Mindy, and the gown fit her like a glove.
A wavy updo, white manicure and a clutch finished out her look.

Morena Baccarin, from 'Homeland' walked the red carpet with her baby bump.
It was a royal red, Alexander McQueen silk gown for her with an embellished empire waist. It was the perfect colour for Morena, as her glowing tan and dark hair worked beautifully with the shade of red. I loved her geometrical Rauwolf clutch too.

Heidi Klum made her supermodel entrance on the red carpet at the 2013 Emmys.
The 'Project Runway' hostess and in general fabulous woman, wore a burgundy Versace dress to the awards ceremony. The sequins and that strange, almost vampish neckline equal a no from me.
However, she looks amazing - the dress might not be my cup of tea but Heidi owned the look.

Anna Faris attended the 2013 Emmys on Sunday evening at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in LA.
She wore a canary yellow Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 dress with a wide v-neck and a leg slit. The colour was great even if clashed a little with her super blonde hair, as was her choice of equally vibrant lipstick.

Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders of 'How I Met Your Mother' attended the Emmys, as their show was nominated in the Comedy Series category.
Purple was a popular, as Alyson Hannigan wore a shade of it in the form of her strapless Marchesa Resort 2014 dress which featured a sweetheart neckline. Wavy hair and a clutch completed her look.
Cobie Smulders was clad in an ivory J. Mendel creation - she was simply glowing.

'The Big Bang Theory' actresses Mayim Bialik & Melissa Rauch attended the 2013 Emmys in LA on Sunday evening.
What a difference not wearing thick-framed glasses and dowdy sweaters makes! Mayim was elegant in a forest green dress by designer Oliver Tolentino; the details of the dress made it visually interesting.
Melissa Rauch also looked like a new person in her deep, rich purple gown with an asymmetrically cut bodice. She went for the classic bright dress-turquoise jewelery combination and wore her hair up.

Julianna Margulies of 'The Good Wife' attended the 2013 Emmy Awards looking lovely.
She wore a soft white, custom Reed Krakoff dress to the event which was a departure from the usual red carpet affair. The dress was loose-fitting, but not shapeless and I liked how her hair was worn into a loose ponytail to compliment the vibe of the dress.
Julianna remains one of my perennial red carpet favourite.

Kaley Cuoco attended the 2013 Emmys with her current beau, Ryan Sweething.
She wore a wine coloured Vera Wang gown with a corset bodice and chiffon skirt, which fit her wonderfully. But what impressed me was her hair and make-up... remember this? No helmet hair this time!

Allison Williams walked the red carpet in a cobalt blue ballgown, at last night's Emmys.
The 'Girls' actress stood by her classic sense of style with this strapless, straight cut gown by Ralph Lauren which fit her immaculately.
A wavy hairstyle ensured the look remained youthful and she finished her look with gold cuffs by Fred Leighton.

For her turn on the red carpet, country singer Carrie Underwood wore a rich purple number by Ramona Keveza.
The colour is just beautiful, but a more streamlined approach would have been nicer when it came to that voluminous skirt. As it is, it's making her look like the country Barbie.

'Homeland' star Claire Danes took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the series.
She looked incredible too in an ivory Armani Privé gown with a pailette bodice, thin shoulder straps and a beautiful tulle skirt with volume.
But what drew my attention was her faux bob hairstyle and the bright pink lip colour.

Michelle Dockery of 'Downton Abbey' walked the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards in Prada.
The British actress looked great in the two-tone duchess satin gown with an open back and a halter bow neckline. The asymmetrical wine hued skirt worked wonderfully and added whimsy to her look.
A sleek hairstyle, embellished red clutch, Fred Leighton earrings and sandals (thank God not pumps) finished her look.

Lena Dunham of 'Girls' attended the 2013 Emmys in another Prada gown.
Despite earlier attempts that did not go down too well, Lena stuck to the label in this bright floral ballgown. The green and coral gown may not be everyone's cup of tea again, however, it will definitely be talked about.
As for me, I don't mind it so much apart from the neckline which is very unflattering on her.

Elisabeth Moss and Christina Hendricks attended the Emmys looking gorgeous. The actresses, nominated in various categories for 'Mad Men' stuck to a classic palate.
Elisabeth was my favourite in a two-tone Andrew Gn gown. The black bodice and white skirt was a refreshing change from the coloured gowns that were popular on the red carpet this year. A side-parted hairstyle and red lips finished her look.
Christina wore a dress by her preferred red carpet designers: Christian Siriano. The black dress with lace sleeves was flattering on her.

January Jones attended the Emmy Awards as her hit show 'Mad Men' was nominated, as usual.
She chose a blush rose Givenchy gown with a straight cut bodice and a skirt with an interesting texture. I'm not always a fan of January on the red carpet, mostly as she comes across as though she's trying too hard.
However, I have no complaints on this occasion - the colour looks good on her, and her make-up was flawless.

Kerry Washington, of my personal favourite show, 'Scandal' wore Marchesa Spring 2014 to the Emmy Awards.
The nominated actress has a history of choosing floral, super feminine dresses on the red carpet so I was half-expecting her to choose a Marchesa. The ivory tulle dress featured large floral appliques throughout its length and a bandage bodice.
Kerry wore the dress with a striped Edie Parker clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry.

'Modern Family' actresses Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen attended the Emmys in mermaid dresses.
Sofia wore a red hot, lace Vera Wang dress to the event with a deep v-neckline and her usual big jewelry.
Julie Bowen was a little more sophisticated with her blush pink Zac Posen dress with an architectural hemline.

Julianne Hough attended the 2013 Emmys with her brother, Derek Hough whose show 'Dancing with the Stars' was nominated in the Outstanding Reality - Competition Program category.
Julianne was pretty as ever in a gorgeous sea foam Jenny Packham Spring 2014 dress. I'm always partial to an off-shoulder neckline so the dress pretty much had me at that. But besides the neckline, I really liked the delicate beading on the dress which has come to be a signature of the designer.
Her look was finished off with a tousled hairstyle, dark eyes and a matching Swarovski clutch.
