Jennifer Morrison attended the 2012 AMAs on Sunday night.

She did so wearing a black gown by Abed Mahfouz that had an embellished neckline and cape-like sleeves.

I know she's not a major pop-star or anything but she could have worn something fun, this black dress is too serious and sombre.

Country queen, Carrie Underwood brought her sparkles to the 2012 AMAs.

The singer wore a shimmering purple, sequined gown by designer Abed Mahfouz for the event.

There isn't a single aspect of her look that I like.  The sequins are overwhelming, the colour is harsh on her skin and hair and her make-up is gaudy.  Sorry, Carrie.
