Aishwarya Rai at the Chime For Change: The Sound Of Change Live Concert

Aishwarya Rai attended the Chime For Change: The Sound Of Change Live Concert in London with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan.

While Abhishek looked smart in a navy suit, Aishwarya wore separates consisting of a textured top, sharp black blazer, leather leggings (and boots).

I liked this drastically different look from her since she always looks so feminine in soft fabrics and designs.  A wavy hairstyle, coral lips and a stone bracelet finished off her rocker look.

Aishwarya Rai in Roberto Cavalli - 2013 Life Ball

Aishwarya Rai continued her tour of the Western hemisphere, attending the Life Ball in Vienna, Austria yesterday.

The Indian beauty wore a figure flattering, dark blue sequin Roberto Cavalli dress.  She was absolutely stunning in it but I thought I'd seen the dress somewhere before - that's because Jennifer Hudson wore it to the Oscars this year (click here to see).

I wish Aishwarya had worn something like this during Cannes, rather than her Abu Jani & Sandeep dress.

Aishwarya Rai in Tarun Tahiliani - 2013 amfAR Gala

Aishwarya Rai also attended the amfAR cinema against Aids gala in Cannes last week.

Since the theme of the night was gold, Aishwarya wore a pale gold saree by Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani.

I liked the dusty gold hue of the saree and the light embroidery, however, I didn't care much for the beauty pageant-esque hairstyle; a loose, wavy style would have suited her better.

Aishwarya Rai in Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Day 6 & 'Blood Ties' Premiere

For her second Cannes red carpet appearance, Aishwarya Rai chose a dress by the Indian designer duo Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla.

The couture dress was summer appropriate with the subtle pastel colours and floral design. Aishwarya certainly looked wonderful wearing it.

My only minor complain is regarding the hair and make-up which felt too heavy for such a pretty dress.  A wavy, teased ponytail and softer make-up would have felt more appropriate.

Aishwarya Bachchan in Elie Saab - Cannes Film Festival Day 10

Aishwarya Rai wore an Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown for the 'Cosmopolis' premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday evening.

She was resplendent in the dark blue dress with full sleeves and beautiful embellishments.  It wasn't a jaw dropping moment but she certainly shoved it in the faces of her weight gain critics.

Soft, tousled hair and dark make-up complimented her look.

Saree Style

Bollywood actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Vidya Balan went the saree way at the same award function as Anushka Sharma. Between the two, my pick would be the Sabyasachi clad Vidya Balan - she looked beautiful in the yellow checkered saree, worn with a back cut-out blouse; her hair was tied in a simple bun, adorned with fresh flowers! Mrs. Bachchan looked blue (facial expression included) in a horrible travesty of a saree by designer Manish Malhotra - the way that it's draped makes her look shapeless, the velvet hemline (EEEEEK) is appalling... the only redeeming aspect would be the colour of the saree but even that doesn't help here! Her father-in-law Mr. Amitabh Bachchan looks dapper in a suit & red tie though.

Saree Style

Spotted, the beauuuuutiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at a ceremony that awarded her father-in-law, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan with a National Award for his role in the movie, "Paa". Even though I don't have a full length picture of it, from what I can see i love love love the saree that she's wearing. It's a 'Kanjeevaram' type of saree, from southern India and what gets me are the fabulous colours! The purple, gold and emerald green are perfect. And to top it, she looks stunning.
