Tilda Swinton graced the red carpet on Saturday night in a Haider Ackermann ensemble.

The actress with an eclectic sense of fashion wore gold separates from her favourite designer with aplomb, finishing off her look with bright red lips - something we rarely witness in her case.

The names Tilda Swinton and Haider Akermann have become almost synonymous.

After attending the photocall of her movie on day one, Tilda attended the premiere in a rose gold Haider Akermann dress.  The custom-made dress featured a flared, pleated waist and as usual Tilda carried it off gracefully and I especially loved the pop of pink lipsticl,

We're not worthy.

Tilda Swinton in Haider Akermann - 'Moonrise Kingdom' Cannes Photocall

The grandest summer event is here.  The 2012 Cannes Film Festival began with Tilda Swinton posing for photographers at the Palais des Festival; she was promoting her movie 'Moonrise Kingdom'.

Tilda wore a Haider Akermann ensemble which consisted of a deep, mauve chiffon blouse tucked into a lavender pencil skirt.  

We can really see why Mr. Akermann is fast becoming known as a master of colour.  Tilda finished her look with Nicholas Kirkwood nude pumps.

2012 Golden Globes - Purple/Pink

Jessica Alba wore a dress by Gucci.  The mauve coloured, strapless dress has silver embellishments and a train;  Jessica wore it with a bun, Bulgari jewels and a Roger Vivier bag.  That colour is divine against her tan.

Jennifer Hudson's 'I Got This..' Book Signing Tour

Jennifer Hudson has been busy, trailblazing across the States promoting her new book called 'I Got This:  How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down'. 

At a Barnes & Noble bookstore in NYC, Jennifer paired an Azzedine Alaia bodysuit with Theysken's Theory pants and topped the look off with a cool white Haider Ackermann jacket.  The pants are bothering me:  they're way too tight on her, a flared pair would have looked chic and elongated her legs.

Then, at the WeightWatchers office in NYC, Jennifer wore a body-hugging LBD and styled it simply with a poof hairstyle, hoops and red & black cap toe pumps.

At the Good Housekeeping bash, Jennifer wore a chartreuse coloured  

Roland Mouret dress with a soft hairstyle but those shoes felt too chunky with that dress;  a simpler and sleeker black/gold sandal would have been a better choice.

Yesterday at The Grove in LA, Jennifer wore a tangerine faux-wrap dress by Balenciaga and styled it with aqua accessories and tan Lanvin sandals.  This is also a great look on her, and that colour is hot this season!

Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann - IFP's Gotham Independent Film Awards

Tilda Swinton attended Monday night's Independent Film Awards in NYC, wearing a look from the Haider Ackermann Spring 2012 collection.

The androgynous look works incredibly well on Tilda - I love the tapered pants and the checked, sequined blazer.

Tilda Swinton attended Marie Claire magazine's Prix de la Moda Awards in Madrid wearing a Haider Ackermann Spring 2012 outfit.

The bold coloured tailored separates looked absolutely fabulous on Tilda and I'm glad she skipped on the printed blouse, opting for a light brown one instead.

A simple hairstyle, red lips and two-tone pumps completed her look.
