Julianne Moore in Christian Dior - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony & 'The Great Gatsby' Premiere

The evergreen Julianne Moore attended the opening ceremony of Cannes film festival wearing Dior.

The lovely actress donned a Spring 2013 Couture dress for the red carpet; it wasn't an ordinary look by any means but it wasn't spectacular either. And we expect all things spectacular at Cannes.

The dress with a black bodice and the lilac organza skirt just didn't match up to the dazzle of the evening.  Nonetheless, Julianne's hair and make-up were spot on (this woman does not look 52 years old) and she completed the look with silver platform sandals.

Julianne Moore in Balenciaga - 2013 Met Ball

Julianne Moore looked amazing at the 2013 Met Ball.

The auburn headed actress donned a Balenciaga by Alexander Wang gown for the occassion; the forest green is just a classic, sophisticated shade and I love the structure of the bodice.

Julianne ditched her usual loose, wavy locks for this sleek, harsh updo.

Julianne Moore in Chanel - 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Julianne Moore of 'Game Change' wore a Chanel Fall 2011 Couture dress to the SAG Awards.

The red head actress gave us all a lesson in aging gracefully in a white low-neck gown with a floral theme. Wavy hair, big eyelashes, a neutral lips and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry completed her look.

2013 Golden Globes - Black (Part II)

Black reigned supreme at the Golden Globes this year.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was statuesque in a Saint Laurent Spring 2013 gown.  The model-turned-actress flaunted her long legs in the black halter neck gown with a leg split.

Rosie went the minimal way with her and added a touch of colour with her lips.

Julianne Moore in Jason Wu - 2012 Critics' Choice Television Awards

Julianne Moore dropped by the Critics' Choice Television Awards, held in California last night. The veteran actress was given the Best Actress in a Movie/Miniseries award for her role in the HBO movie 'Game Change', in which she played the role of Sarah Palin.

Julianne was elegant and statuesque in a simple Jason Wu dress with a curved black neckline and sides.  The clever design gave Julianne curves too.

She wore it with side-swept hair and added colour via her make-up which consisted of pink eye shadow, blush and lipstick.  She wore nude Walter Steiger sandals.

Julianne Moore In Tom Ford - 'Game Change' Washington D.C. Premiere

Julianne Moore did the whole green dress - red hair thing at the D.C. premiere of 'Game Change'.  She wore a Tom Ford dress.

Unfortunately the combination did not work in her favour - that shade of green is slightly nauseating to look at and those velvet sleeves are for lack of better word, hideous.

The hair do, smoky eyes, gold sandals - nothing works.  I like that Leiber clutch though.

Julianne Moore In Lanvin - 'Game Change' NYC Premiere

Julianne Moore attended the NYC premiere of her new HBO movie called 'Game Change', in which she portrays Sarah Palin.

The veteran actress wore a colour-block gown by one of her favourite labels: Lanvin.

Conceptually, I like this dress - the straight lines create an interesting silhouette but it just doesn't work in person as the shape is doing nothing for Julianne.

That aside, I like her choice of accessories & make-up.  The pops of colour that the lipstick & clutch bring are great.

2012 Golden Globes - Black

Rooney Mara wore black, as was expected.  The Best Actress (Drama) nominee wore a Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2012 gown.  The plunge-neck tulle bodice & long column skirt were simple yet perfect for the scale of the event.  Rooney chose to sweep back her bangs and wore very less make-up.

Julianne Moore In Calvin Klein - 'Americans For Marriage Equality' Launch

Julianne Moore attended the launch of the 'Americans for Marriage Equality' campaign, which was held at the Calvin Klein store in NYC.

Julianne picked a Calvin Klein Fall 2011 textured shift dress - the colour of which does her no favours.

She topped it with a white coat from the collection and wore nude heels from the label.  Slightly messy hair and a gold box clutch completed her look.
