Kareena Kapoor in Osman - 'Heroine' Promotions

Kareena Kapoor is currently in the full swings of promotions for her latest movie 'Heroine' in which she plays the role of a troubled movie star.

She made an appearance at an apparel launch wearing a white dress by Osman.  The dress, which featured billowy sleeves and a fitted skirt was a new silhouette on Kareena.

While I liked the dress and that statement neck piece, the make-up and prom-esque hairstyle threw me a little as they seemed too cheesy.  Thankfully, she opted for nude Louboutins to make the dress and neck piece the focus.

Kareena Kapoor in Emanuel Ungaro - 'Heroine' Launch

Kareena Kapoor looked fabulous at the launch of her movie 'Heroine' in Mumbai last week.

The actress was the centre of attraction in a bright, fire-engine red jumpsuit from the Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2012 collection.

Kareena has the perfect complexion to carry off this shade of red and I love how she went one step further with that bright red lip colour, very unexpected.

A gold belt, cuff and sandals completed her look, along with the sleek ponytail which showed off the neckline of the jumpsuit.

Kareena Kapoor in Masaba Gupta - India Today Conclave

The very pretty Kareena Kapoor attended a magazine's event two days ago in a Masaba Gupta saree.

I simply adore the colours on this saree and the fact that it was paired with an ivory blouse with gold embroidery.  

Kareena styled it by wearing her hair in a retro style and added some yummy gold jewelery.

Kareena Kapoor In Paule Ka - 2012 Apsara Awards

Kareena Kapoor wore a Paule Ka gown to the annual Apsara Awards, held in Mumbai last night and looked elegant & glamorous.

The strapless white crepe gown with a drape-front, an embellished waist belt, black panelling and a high riding side split.  Kareena wore it quite simply, with sleek strands, red lips & strappy YSL heels.

Kareena Kapoor In Namrata Joshipura - 2011 Big Entertainment Awards

Kareena Kapoor attended the Big Star Entertainment Awards in Mumbai, wearing a glitzy black dress by designer Namrata Joshipura.

The design of the column gown was lovely on her, however, the hair & shoes somehow killed this look for me.

She needed an updo and sleeker sandals, and a clutch too.

Kareena Kapoor In Donna Karan - Top Gear Awards

Kareena Kapoor wore a Donna Karan Spring 2011 gown to an awards evening last night.

The golden, drape-front silk gown didn't flatter Kareena at all.  On top of that, her hairstyle did not go with the dress.

The look also needed some accessory, like the stacked bangles the runway model is sporting.  I did like her shoes however - sparkly Jimmy Choo sandals.

Kareena Kapoor In Vanessa Bruno - 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' First Look Launch

Indian actress Kareena Kapoor wore a Vanessa Bruno dress for the first look launch of her upcoming movie, 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu', co-starring Imran Khan.

The nude coloured, printed dress with fluttery sleeves was simply beautiful on Kareena.  A belt would have given more definition but it works well without too.

She wore it with shiny locks, glowing make-up and nude peeptoes.

Cosmopolitan Awards

Last night, The Cosmopolitan 'Fun and Fearless' Awards took place in Mumbai. The whole event was highly paradoxical as the attendees' clothes were anything but fun and/or fearless.

Avantika & Imran Khan wore black and have to say, looked very polished. I'm going to go easy on Avantika as she's not one to usually shun away from colour or interesting silhouettes. Maybe she just wanted to co-ordinate with her husband? (She's wearing a Gauri & Nainika gown).

Aishwarya Rai disappointed me by donning an all black suit that wasn't even well made. That and the hairstyle just aged her look. If she had to go the suit way, she could have chosen this cool white Emilio Pucci suit (minus the casual accessories & blue shirt), and paired it with a simple slick ponytail and statement jewels.
Malaika Arora Khan chose a beige body-con dress and wore some chunky gold jewellery with it - it just doesn't work. The accessories don't go well and the dress is just too short.

Anushka Sharma also missed the mark, in this really lame black gown - it has no personality whatsoever. This gorgeous Gucci Spring 2011 would have looked stunning on Anushka, alas, one can only wish.

Indian TV personality Ambika Anand dressed for the occassion in a cheery combination of a neon orange shirt dress and a yellow Jimmy Choo bag - the nude kitten heels work perfectly with the look.

Socialite Prerna Goel went for a printed Issa dress and added a gold clutch. However, I'm not liking those shoes at all.
Kareena Kapoor wore a peachy Elie Saab gown with a halterneck and pockets! It's not the worst look but something about it doesn't work. For Kareena, I would have chosen this teal Andrew Gn number, the colour and cut would have looked fabulous on her. Also, as lovely as her hair is, I wish she'd try a new look once in a while.

Reception Style - Hits

Another wedding reception took place in Mumbai last night and it seems like the entire Bollywood fraternity came out to celebrate with the happy couple (Imran Khan and Avantika Malik)! A lot of the ladies seemed to gravitate towards pastel shades (with a few exceptions) and simple silhouttes were the order of the night.

Deepika Padukone wore a soft pink churidar with wavy hair and silver flats, while Sonakshi Sinha wore a long white outfit which she jazzed up with some gold & ruby earrings and a red flower in her hair updo.

Katrina Kaif's golden Tarun Tahiliani outfit looked great on her, she too opted for flat sandals and went very natural with her makeup - I think she looks better this way.

Preity Zinta's aqua outfit (Manish Malhotra) had me at the colour! The actress looks radiant. Kareena Kapoor's black sheer saree (another Manish Malhotra) had me divided... the design is really sober and all but something just seems a little wrong here I can't put my finger on it. (I'll just ignore Mr. Karan Johar standing between the two ladies there due to his ultra boring black suit.)

The colour of Twinkle Khanna's outfit may seem jarring but I'm all for a bit of bright colour; the chunky gold necklaces and clutch look great against the pink too.
