The American model wore a forest green velvet dress with an off-shoulder neckline and bell sleeves from the Gucci Fall 2012 collection.

She looked great in the dress obviously but the messy hair didn't work for me.  A polished updo would have been more appropriate.

At an event filled with black dresses, Kate Bosworth broke the spell in a lemon coloured Erdem Spring 2012 confection.

The off-shoulder dress with lace detail and full skirt was perfectly elegant and feminine.

Kate chose to wear it with a beautiful updo, diamond earrings and pink lips.

I definitely prefer her make up to the runway model.

The dress makes her appear stauesque but I wish she'd gone for a soft bun rather than the slicked back ponytail.  

Love the earrings but not a fan of the make-up, especially the heavily shadowed eyes.

Kate Beckinsale knocked it out of the park in this cool Gucci Resort 2012 gown.

I love the white against her tan and the gold detail on the gown at the waist.

But what I like the most is that she tried a different hairstyle and the result was lovely!

Elaborate gold earrings, pink lipstick and a gold clutch completed her evening look.
