Jessica Alba in Elie Saab - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

The Producers' Guild Awards took place in Beverley Hills, California last night.

Jessica Alba, who attended the event with her husband Cash Warren, wore a stunning Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture dress.  The black lace confection featured full-sleeved lace sleeves, a portrait neckline and shimmering embellishments.  

A bright lip colour added a punch to her look, but not a fan of her ombre hair.

Hannah Simone stood out at the Producers' Guild Awards.

She was stunning in a strapless electric blue Rafael Cennamo dress with black accents and a  split.

A bang-less, straight hairstyle, a warm lip colour and black pumps completed her brilliant look.

Amanda Seyfried in Roland Mouret - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

Amanda Seyfried turned to colour in a sea of black dresses at the 2013 Producers' Guild Awards.

It was a bright orange silk Roland Mouret Resort 2013 dress for her, with a black waistband and a draped neckline.  Straight, side-parted locks and Cathy Waterman earrings, along with a Judith Leiber clutch and ankle-strap Jimmy Choo sandals completed her look.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

'Django Unchained' actress Kerry Washington wore a Marchesa Pre-Fall 2013 dress to the Producers' Guild Awards.

The strapless black dress with a sweetheart neckline and frilly, tulle lining is pretty and feminine, classic Marchesa.

Kerry paired the dress with berry accents with her lipstick and clutch (also by Marchesa) and finished off her look with Louis Vuitton pumps.

Anne Hathaway in Erdem - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

Anne Hathaway switched it up at the 2013 Producers' Guild Awards.

The 'Les Miserables' star didn't wear something in neutral shades of black, white or grey to the event.  Instead, Anne wore a floral, strapless Erdem Pre-Fall 2013 frock with bursts of intensely bright colours on a dark background.

I loved this look head-to-toe, including those unconventional orange strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.  I hope this is the start of a phase where she wears lots of colour.

Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

Jennifer Garner accompanied her husband, Ben Affleck to the Producers' Guild Awards.

She wore a black, lace Oscar de la Renta dress for the event with a ruffle hemline.  

A half-up, half-down hairstyle and plain Brian Atwood pumps completed her elegant all-black look.

Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts attended the 2013 PGAs.

The fellow Aussies wore black dresses for the evening, with Nicole opting for a black L'Wren Scott Resort 2013 column dress that had a lace neckline an sleeves.

Meanwhile, Naomi wore a cocktail dress from the Victoria Beckham Spring 2013 collection with Rupert Sanderson pumps.

Ellie Kemper attended the Producers Guild Awards this past Saturday in a

Despite being a one of the many actresses who wore black at the event, this is the first time Ellie has really nailed a look, the sleek dress with thin cutouts paired with a sleek hairstyle & Louboutins.

Angelina Jolie looked beautiful in a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2012 gown at this year's Producers Guild Awards.

The long-sleeved black dress had illusion panels covered in lace that extended to her back and a sexy leg split.  Angelina kept her brown locks down in a voluminous blow-out, carried a clutch and wore black peeptoes.

Shailene Woodley In Valentino - 2012 Producers Guild Awards

Shailene Woodley attended the PGAs in a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

The loose black velvet dress featured a boat neck and slight balloon sleeves.  I'm not an immediate fan of this dress as I've never been too fond of velvet, and especially when the entire dress is made of it.  She could have gone for something more youthful and interesting.

Shailene opted to wear her hair up in a ponytail, wore red lipstick (a first from her) and sparkly silver heels.

Jessica Chastain wore a Balenciaga dress to the PGAs.

The shimmery black gown featured spaghetti straps & a mini train.  I would have liked the dress better without the straps since they just seem very 90's to me somehow.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle, and gorgeous jade earrings completed her look.

Sofia Vergara In Monique Lhuillier - 2012 Producers Guild Awards

Sofia Vergara wore another tight, strapless dress for the Producers Guild Awards held in Beverley Hills.

The colour-block, sequined cocktail dress by Monique Lhuillier wasn't anything new.  Sophia wore her hair in a ponytail, and added gemstone earrings and black platform heels.  

I wish that she'd wear something unexpected for once, just for fun.

Viola Davis loves her monochromatic dresses, and why not when she looks so splendid in them.  For the PGAs, Viola went for a forest green Herve Leroux gown.

The pleated dress with an off-shoulder neckline and a tier was beautiful on Viola who wore it with a berry coloured lipstick & chandelier earrings.
