Kristen Bell in Zuhair Murad - 2014 CMT Music Awards

The effervescent Kristen Bell hosted the CMT Music Awards again this year.

She wore a midnight blue Zuhair Murad dress with intricate, geometric inspired embellishments.  The colour, the fit and the styling was perfect here as you never want to overcrown a Zuhair Murad dress with unnecessary accessories.

Wavy hair, dewy make up and a soft pink lip colour completed her look, along with a diamond bangle and Brian Atwood heels.

Helen Mirren in Escada - 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Helen Mirren looked better than ever at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The British legend, who was nominated for and won the Best Actress in a Miniseries award, looked splendid in a black, full sleeved Escada Pre-Fall 2014 dress with gold embroidery and a big satin bow at the waist.

Matching earrings by Neil Lane and red lips were the finishing touches, along with the black Brian Atwoods.

Amy Adams in Antonio Berardi - 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Amy Adams was a complete head turner at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night.

She wore a bright, electric blue coloured dress with a fitted bodice, one shoulder and a silver waist band by none another than Antonio Berardi.

I was expecting something sequined/pastel from Amy but she surprised in the best way.  A beautiful, sculpted hairstyle and colorful Cartier earrings finished her look, along with the perfect bold matte red lip and pewter Brian Atwood peep-toe pumps.

Sandra Bullock in Alex Perry - 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival

Sandra Bullock brought some much needed colour to the ceremony at Palm Springs. The 'Gravity' actress received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her work in the movie.

She wore a dress by famed Australian designer Alex Perry for the event.  I have always admired the combination of pink/orange or pink/red and this dress just bolstered that feeling.

The tangerine sleeves are so unexpected with the bubblegum pink hue of the rest of the dress and while I may not be a fan of the illusion neckline, it certainly is not a deal breaker.

Sleek hair, rosy make-up and shimmery rose-gold accessories finished her look.

Jennifer Garner in Dolce & Gabbana - 'Dallas Buyers Club' at 2013 TIFF

Jennifer Garner joined Matthew McConaughey at the premiere of their new movie, 'Dallas Buyers Club' in Toronto for the annual film fest.

Jennifer looked lovely in a red and caramel Dolce & Gabbana cocktail dress.  Her new bangs frame her face beautifully and make her look years younger.

She finished the look with a Max Mara clutch and Brian Atwood sandals.

Jennifer Lopez in Christian Dior - Hollywood Walk of Fame

Jennifer Lopez was awarded a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame in LA.

She wore a dress to match the scale of the occasion, choosing a lovely Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 ballgown with a fitted white t-shirt style top and a flared, asymmetrical apricot hued skirt.

A retro style updo and glossy, neutral lips finished her look.  She wore ankle-strap Brian Atwood heels here, but I wish she'd worn a nude/white summery sandal as the BAs weigh the dress down.

Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors - 2013 Guys Choice Awards

Olivia Wilde took part at the 2013 Guys Choice Awards, which she attended with her fiance Jason Sudeikis.

She wore an LBD from the Michael Kors Fall 2013 collection.  The dress featured tough looking details such as the leather bodice, zippers which were balanced with the femininity of a jeweled belt and peplum.

Straight hair, heavily eyeliner and nude lips, completed her look, along with a clutch and black Brian Atwood heels.

Emily Blunt in Zac Posen - 'Freeing Voices, Changing Lives' Benefit Gala

Emily Blunt attended the 'Freeing Voices, Changing Lives' Benefit Gala in NYC this past week.

The British actress, who is currently sporting dirty blonde locks, wore a gorgeous Zac Posen Spring 2013 tea length dress.  The midnight blue dress was beautifully soft, elegant and striking at the same time.

A wavy hairstyle, deep red glossy lips, a clutch and Brian Atwood sandals completed her look.  I think this is my favourite Emily Blunt look since her Jason Wu success last year.

Rooney Mara in Christian Dior - 'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' Cannes Photocall

Rooney Mara attended the photocall of her movie 'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' in Cannes yesterday.  The movie, which stars Ben Foster and Casey Affleck, is competing in the International Critics' Week section at the festival.

Rooney wore a black and white dress from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 collection.  She looked great in the two-tone dress, worn with another sleek updo, ear cuffs and Brian Atwood 'Aida' sandals.

At one point, I thought I would tire of Rooney's black and white/dark colours palette but she keeps it interesting with looks from Alexander McQueen, J. Mendel, and her go-to Givenchy.

Jennifer Garner accompanied her husband, Ben Affleck to the Producers' Guild Awards.

She wore a black, lace Oscar de la Renta dress for the event with a ruffle hemline.  

A half-up, half-down hairstyle and plain Brian Atwood pumps completed her elegant all-black look.

Anna Kendrick looked pretty at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of yet another movie called 'The Company You Keep'.

She wore a dark Mulberry Fall 2012 dress to the event which was a contrast from her glamorous Elie Saab gown.

A flirty ponytail, perfect make-up and blue Brian Atwood sandals finished up her look.

Jennifer Garner supported her husband Ben Affleck at the premiere of his movie 'Argo', which he also directed, at the 2012 TIFF.

She looked lovely in a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 dress.  The LBD had an embellished bust and a plain black skirt.

It was the ideal dress to wear to an event where she didn't want to overshadow her husband.  Jennifer looked elegant, in an updo, Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry and Brian Atwood heels.

Zoe Saldana in Elie Saab - 'The Words' LA Premiere

Zoe Saldana walked the red carpet at the ArcLight Theatre in LA, for the premiere of her movie 'The Words' in which she stars with Bradley Cooper.

Zoe looked lovely like always in an embellished gold tone Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture cocktail dress.  The dress featured delicate embellishments, three-quarter sleeves and a below the knee scalloped hemline.

Zoe always looks better in short dresses so I'm glad she kept it that way here.  A messy updo, red lips and Brian Atwood 'Teodara' pumps completed her look.

Camilla Belle in Jason Wu - Samsung Galaxy Note Launch

Camilla Belle was in attendance at the launch of the latest Samsung Galaxy Note which was held in New York City last Wednesday.

For the evening, Camilla chose a very lady-like little navy dress from the lovely Jason Wu Resort 2013 collection.  The sleeveless dress featured a waist band and a white floral design with embroidery and embellishments in the hemline.

The dress was pretty and safe but I would have liked to see something edgier; maybe separates which included pants of some sort.  

Camilla wore the dress with bold eye make-up, a Jimmy Choo acrylic clutch and Brian Atwood heels which didn't particularly go with the dress.  I would have saved this dress for a luncheon of some sort.

Carrie Underwood in Alice + Olivia & 7 For All Mankind - 'The Today Show' Performance

Carrie Underwood performed in New York City last week on 'The Today Show'.

The country singer sparkled on stage in a blush, sequined top by Alice + Olivia and lamé detail cut-offs by 7 For All Mankind.

Stage performances usually call for something bold and eye-catching but in Carrie's case here, it was all a bit too much.  The big, blonde hair, sequins, shorts, heavy earrings got visually overwhelming.  I did, however, like her Brian Atwood heels.

Kate Beckinsale in Armani Privé - 'Total Recall' LA Premiere

Kate Beckinsale turned a complete glamazon for the premiere of 'Total Recall' at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

She looked amazing in an Armani Privé Spring 2012 Couture gown.  I was expecting to see a dress from this collection during the awards season but it wasn't to be.

Thus you can imagine my joy when I saw this beautiful dress on the red carpet and who better to wear it than Kate?  She worked this strapless gown with a textured bodice and a reptilian print.

Lorraine Schwartz jewels, a Kotur clutch and Brian Atwood pumps completed her look.  I am so glad we can't see her shoes.

Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta - 'Total Recall' LA Photocall

Jessica Biel was perfection at the photocall of 'Total Recall' in Los Angeles.

She donned a beige frock by Oscar de la Renta with a sparkly top and an embroidered lace  skirt.  The muted colour worked wonderfully with the beautiful lip colour that she sported.

A tousled, relaxed hairstyle and simple nude Brian Atwood pumps completed the summer look.

Lea Michele in Emilio Pucci - Fox All-Star Party

Lea Michele was out on the blue carpet on Monday night for the Fox All-Star Party.

She looked wonderful in a soft pink, silk-chiffon Emilio Pucci dress with full sleeves and a deep neckline.

Lea has been experimenting a little bit with silhouettes lately and she always keeps me guessing.  I love this dress on her, with the messy side braid and her tan.  The only thing that put me off though, were those satin Brian Atwood pumps - a delicate nude sandal would have worked better.

Zoe Saldana in Jonathan Saunders - 2012 Teen Choice Awards

Zoe Saldana made an appearance at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards looking fabulous as always.

Zoe wore a geometric print, sleeveless frock from the Jonathan Saunders Pre-Fall 2012 dress and looked great in it.  The colour was perfect on Zoe, as was the print and silhouette.

Her hair was put up in a neat bun and she completed her look with gold hoop earrings and fabulous Brian Atwood sandals.

'Pretty Little Liars' Cast at 2012 Teen Choice Awards

The cast of 'Pretty Little Liars' showed up to receive the award for Choice Drama Show at the Teen Choice Awards last night.

Lucy Hale looked great, in a tomato coloured Wes Gordon Spring 2012 dress.  She tends to wear black a lot so I was pleased to see her in this colour, which she wore with gold accessories and Brian Atwood sandals.

Ashley Benson opted for separates.  She paired a lace corset top by Monique Lhuillier with Balenciaga pants.  Conceptually, this works but does not flatter Ashley at all.  Wavy hair and pointy black pumps completed the look.

Troian Bellisario looked pretty in a Maria Lucia Hohan bodysuit and tulle skirt.  The look was pretty but too ballerina for my taste.  I wasn't a fan of her shoes either.

Shay Mitchell was my favourite in a chartreuse Donna Karan Atelier dress.  The shade of the dress was beautiful on Shay, and I loved that she left it alone, just finishing her look with wavy locks and nude platform pumps by Camilla Skovgaard.
