Solange Knowles in Calvin Klein - 2014 CFDA Awards

Solange Knowles attended the annual CFDA Awards, this year accompanying creative head Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein.

Usually one to opt for bright hues, Solange was dressed in a silver custom made dress with long tassels and delicate straps at the shoulder.  I loved the fluidity and the movement of the dress.

Solange accessorised with Jennifer Fisher jewels, a bright pink lip and natural hair, all of which work well with the dress.

Solange Knowles in Prada - 'Blue Jasmine' NYC Premiere

Solange Knowles was in attendance at the premiere of Woody Allen's 'Blue Jasmine' in New York City.

The Museum of Modern Art held event saw Solange wear a light mint Prada Spring 2013 dress with a large floral motif.  There are very few women who could carry off Prada's 2013 Spring collection and fortunately, Solange happens to be one of them.

She wore it with eclectic statement earrings, a bright lip colour and Prada's satin sandals.

Solange Knowles in Roberto Cavalli - The Belvedere Party in Cannes

Solange Knowles hit up one of the many Cannes parties last night.

She wore a fresh pant suit from the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2013 collection just as it was presented on the runway.

A bright lip colour and a green clutch completed her fun, summery look.

Solange Knowles in Stephane Rolland - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony & 'The Great Gatsby' Premiere

Solange Knowles brought one of my favourite designers, Stephane Rolland to the red carpet, for the premiere of 'The Great Gatsby' and the Cannes film festival opening ceremony.

The singer looked great in the light caramel chiffon dress from the Fall 2012 collection which was accented with delicate feathers and a metallic waist band.  Accessories included a Jimmy Choo clutch and Chopard jewels.

Solange Knowles in Kenzo - 2013 Met Ball

Urban cool/print queen Solange Knowles attended the 2013 Met Ball in... print.

It was a blue Kenzo dress for her with a structured bodice, skirt and a peeking panel.  I like Solange's red carpet approach: print, sleek sandal, bold accessory. Simple yet effective.

Solange Knowles in Stella McCartney - Michael Kalish's Belle Epoque Sculpture Celebration

Solange Knowles was spotted at an art event in New York City yesterday, after which she headed straight to the Stella McCartney Resort 2013 presentation.

That might be the reason behind her wearing this Stella McCartney Spring 2012 paisley print mini dress with black accents.  

Solange is really beginning to capture my attention with her unique, wonderful sense of style.  She completed her look with red lips and gladiator sandals.

Solange Knowles in Marni - 2012 CFDA Awards

Solange Knowles attended Monday evening's CFDA Fashion Awards in a sunny Marni Spring 2012 dress.

The white and yellow, v-neck sheath looked super chic and summer appropriate and I absolutely loved Solange's styling.

Solange tends to keep her natural these days and she did just that at the event and completed her look with a Marni clutch and playful Missoni sandals.

Solange Knowles brought colour to this year's Met Ball.

She really stood out in this canary yellow Rachel Roy creation with a peplum waist and a train.

I love how Solange always looks so confident in what she's wearing.  She completed the look with natural hair, gold bracelets and a sparkling Edie Parker box clutch.

Solange Knowles stepped out in style in NYC for Gucci & GQ's Private Cocktail Party at the Gucci flagship store.

She looked stylish as always in separates from the Gucci Spring 2012 collection.  The top, skirt, jacket, shoes, make-up - I love every aspect of Solange's look.

Solange Knowles in Stephane Rolland - 6th Annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer Gala

Solange Knowles wore a gorgeous Stephane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture dress for the 6th Annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer Gala in NYC.

She killed it in the ivory silk-jersey gown with gazar and a petal-like structure around the waist.

While I liked the slicked back hairstyle, the make-up felt lack-lustre.  Her face needed some pink lipstick.

Solange Knowles in Salvatore Ferregamo - Ferregamo Fifth Avenue Flagship Store Opening

Solange Knowles brought her cool, sleek style to the Fifth Avenue opening of the Salvatore Ferregamo flagship store.

A black & white, printed blouse was worn with cropped, tangerine pants and topped with a purple blazer from the brand's Spring 2012 line.

While I adore the combination of colours, the blouse felt like a mismatch.  Maybe a white/blush blouse would have been a better choice.  

As usual, her choice of footwear got my vote - those pink & purple Ferregamo heels are gorgeous.

Fashion Roundup

Olivia Palermo attended a few events in NYC in an array of stylish outfits.

At a movie screening, she wore a white sheer blouse with a furry vest, skinny pants and feathered Louboutin boots. A cool panther pendant, gold bangles and a Lulu Guinness clutch completed her look.

Olivia arrived at the Carlo Pazolini party in cropped, metallic pants, a grey sweater & a leather sleeved jacket.  Accessories included a statement necklace, a bright yellow clutch and satin blue Manolo Blahnik pumps.

Beyonce stepped out for another Jay Z concert, in a sequined Monique Lhuillier dress which she wore with a furry Chanel clutch and ankle-strap heels.

Solange Knowles  attended the Carlo Pazolini store opening in NYC.  Loving her take on amping up neutral basics.

Camila Alves took in the Leila Shams show at NYFW in a cool black & neon mini by the designer, topping it with a leather jacket.  Wavy tresses, a large clutch and open-toe boots completed her look.


Paula Patton wore a sky blue Versus dress with cutout sleeves and an architectural skirt.  Something about the way the top sits on this dress really irks me, and I'm not a fan of it on Paula.

Sarah Jessica Parker attended a book launch in NYC in a grey shift dress which she wore with sheer polka-dot tights, a black blazer and a Chanel bag.  It's understated but so chic.

Angelina Jolie met with the German foreign minister in a white dress, worn with a matching belted coat.  Diamond earrings & nude peep-toes completed her elegant look.

Solange Knowles In Vera Wang - Runway to Win Fundraiser for the Obama Victory Fund

Solange Knowles wore a Vera Wang Spring 2012 dress for a fundraiser event in NYC.

The playful, printed dress with a peplum & an up and down hem was lovely on Solange, if a little weather inappropriate.  But who cares when the dress is so striking and different.

Solange paired it with bright pink lips, a box clutch & matching heels.
