Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders of 'How I Met Your Mother' attended the Emmys, as their show was nominated in the Comedy Series category.

Purple was a popular, as Alyson Hannigan wore a shade of it in the form of her strapless Marchesa Resort 2014 dress which featured a sweetheart neckline.   Wavy hair and a clutch completed her look.

Cobie Smulders was clad in an ivory J. Mendel creation - she was simply glowing.
