The actress wore a lovely Sachin + Babi dress to the event with a gold embellished halter neckline and a floaty black skirt.

The look was elegant without trying too hard; Sarah finished off the look with an updo, light pink lips, dainty Neil Lane jewels and Choo pumps.

Emily Deschanel attended the PCAs in an airy chiffon dress by BCBG.

The flirty, light feeling of the dress was toned down by the black and white colour scheme but what I focused on mostly here were her bright eyes and those gorgeous House of Lavande mirror earrings.

A matching Edie Parker clutch and simple sandals completed the look.

Drew Barrymore in Vionnet - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Pregnant Drew Barrymore made a special appearance at the 2014 PCAs to present the award for Favourite Comedic Movie Actor to her fellow actor Adam Sandler.

She did so wearing a Vionnet gown with a white top and soft, lemon yellow skirt with pleats.  Straight hair worn down, bright lips and Irene Neuwirth jewels finished her look.

The newly married Kaley Cuoco attended the People's Choice Awards, this time as an award winner.

The blonde actress took to the awards in a rather laid-back ensemble from the cool Sachin + Babi Spring 2014 collection.  While the black top and cornflower blue midi skirt might not be dripping with glamour exactly, it's suited to the feel of the PCAs and the warm Cali weather.

Beach waves, smokey eyes and Aperlai sandals completed Kaley's look.

The brilliant Stana Katic was present at the 2014 PCAs.

The 'Castle' actress looked absolutely gorgeous in a Naeem Khan Spring 2014 gown that boasted red embroidery upon a neutral background.

A braided halo updo and simple make-up finished out the look.

Sara Bareilles in Jill Stuart - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Sara Bareilles attended this year's People's Choice Awards.

She performed her inspirational song 'Brave' during the ceremony, but posed on the red carpet too.  It was a neat little black dress for her, from the Jill Stuart Fall 2013 collection with a white collar.

She accented the black and white of the dress with red, in the form of the matte lips and detail on her Moschino shoes. It's a cute look from the singer.

Naya Rivera debuted her lighter locks at the 2014 PCAs.

The 'Glee' actress wore a color block Michael Kors Resort 2014 dress to the awards, which featured a trifecta of classic colours, juxtaposed by the high-low hemline.  The dress fit her beautifully without being vulgar.

A simple gold neck cuff and sleek Stuart Weitzman sandals finished out the look.

Heidi Klum in Giorgio Armani - 2014 People's Choice Awards

Heidi Klum, who is a permanent fixture on the red carpet during the awards season, also attended the People's Choice Awards.

For the event, she chose a show-stopping, glitzy black gown from the Giorgio Armani Fall 2013 collection with a rather plunging neckline and starburst embellishments.

Ever the risk taker, Heidi wore her hair in a high braid and finished the look off with simple make-up and her signature glamorous jewelry.

'Pretty Little Liars' actress Lucy Hale looked pretty as always at this year's PCA Awards.

She won the award for Favourite Cable TV Actress and collected her award wearing this vibrant, floral print Gabriela Cadena dress with one long sleeve and black embellishment on the shoulder.

A messy updo with face framing bits, bold eye make-up, a bronzed lip colour and black accessories were the finishing touches to her look.

Emma Watson attended the 2013 PCAs looking lovely.

The British actress wore a dress from the Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 collection, full of the signature bold colours.

While I do prefer the longer version on the runway, Emma's version is youthful and fun.  A pink lip colour and black edgy sandals completed the look.

Jennifer Lawrence attended the 2013 People's Choice Awards.

The Oscar-nominated actress donned a beaded, jet black Valentino Fall 2012 Couture cocktail dress for the event.  The black and silver beaded dress is just beautiful.

Jennifer wore it well but the hair style was a little on the mature side.

Naomi Watts stunned at the 2013 PCAs.

'The Impossible' actress wore a gorgeous Resort 2013 dress by Alexander McQueen that had a dazzling gold bodice and a long black skirt.

At first glance I felt that this dress was too much for the PCAs, where the fashion tends to be on the 'fun' side.  But the more I looked at it, it grew on me.  Nothing to apologise for when the dress is so beautiful.

Lea Michele won the award for Favourite TV Comedy Actress and sparkled on the red carpet too.

This was probably one of my favourite looks from the event, the over-posing done by her aside.  For the candy pink, embellished Elie Saab Spring 2013 dress simple stole the show.

Lea's legs appeared long and lean thanks to the matching pink Elie Saab sandals she wore.  A braided updo and Anita Ko jewelry finished off her look.

Heidi Klum was sensational at the 2013 PCAs.

The 'Project Runway' host dazzled in a long black Julien Macdonald Spring 2013 gown with cut outs that had a metallic border.

I love the sleek ponytail and make-up.

Jennifer Aniston in Christian Dior - 2013 People's Choice Awards

Jennifer Aniston skipped the red carpet at the 2013 People's Choice Awards.

The blonde and tanned actress, who picked up the award for Favourite Comedic Movie Actress donned another signature black dress.

Her fit and flare Christian Dior dress didn't quite work, however.  The skirt made her appear wider and the fabric just isn't all that flattering.

As usual, straight, glossy tresses and neutral make-up did their part and she finished off her look with Tom Ford sandals.

Carolina Herrera was the label of choice for Olivia Munn at the 2013 People's Choice Awards.

The awesome actress wore the black and white separates which consisted of the sleeveless top and a fitted skirt with a flirty hem.  As much as I loved the addition of the dark red lip colour, her hair would have looked better in an updo.  

Also, a more exciting pair of shoes would have elevated this look.

For this year's People's Choice Awards, Taylor Swift chose a simple floor-length gown.

The white Ralph Lauren dress was pure perfection, and made her look elegant and statuesque.

As a further reminder that she's past her sequins and sparkles phase, Taylor opted for a dark eye make-up and an edgy updo.  And those earrings I can't help but love.

Kaley Cuoco was the host of the night at the 2013 PCAs.

The 'Big Bang Theory' actress donned a baby pink Christian Siriano Spring 2013 frock on the red carpet, which was one of her many looks.   

I loved this ultra girly look on her, it suited her personality perfectly.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle, winged eyeliner and pink satin Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes finished off her look.

Sophia Bush walked the red carpet at the 2013 PCAs in a decidedly unassuming suit.

She wore a Helmut Lang top with a jacket and ankle-grazing pants, by Vivienne Westwood in all in muted shades of grey.

A wavy, polished hairstyle and lust-worthy earrings completed the look, along with Christian Louboutin heels.

Nina Dobrev In Elie Saab - 2012 People's Choice Awards

Nina Dobrev was hands down, my favourite at the People's Choice Awards, held in LA last night.

'The Vampire Diaries' actress, who won the award for the Favourite TV Drama Actress wore a dress befitting the honour.

The kelly green dress with lacy shoulders and sleeves from the Elie Saab Spring 2012 was gorgeous on her, especially with her striking dark, long hair.

Elie Saab heels, and a round clutch completed her look.
