Shailene Woodley dressed up for the premiere of her anticipated movie 'The Fault in Our Stars' in New York City.

The actress wore a cheery yellow Ralph Lauren gown with a strapless top and a fun peplum waist, ending in a long column skirt.  It was the perfect colour for the season and Shailene looked great wearing it.

A sleek hairstyle, dewy skin and a raspberry lip colour finished her look, along with her favourite Jlynn Birthstone necklace.

Despite the black and white dresses outnumbering brightly coloured ones, these few stood out thanks to the vivid designs and shades. Some fared better than others...

Lupita Nyong'o was on everyone's (including mine) best dressed list after this red carpet and it's clear to see why.  The '12 Years a Slave' actress shut it down in this super elegant red Ralph Lauren gown with cape sleeves.

Allison Williams walked the red carpet in a cobalt blue ballgown, at last night's Emmys.

The 'Girls' actress stood by her classic sense of style with this strapless, straight cut gown by Ralph Lauren which fit her immaculately.

A wavy hairstyle ensured the look remained youthful and she finished her look with gold cuffs by Fred Leighton.

Robin Wright in Ralph Lauren - 2013 Emmy Awards

'House of Cards' actress, Robin Wright stuck to black at the Emmys this year.

The actress, who was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category, wore a classic black Ralph Lauren Collection gown with a vintage-style high-neck. 

It was a fair effort from her but a bright colour and maybe a halter-neck would have showed off her brilliant hair-cut and facial structure to a better effect.

Taylor Swift in Ralph Lauren - 2013 People's Choice Awards

For this year's People's Choice Awards, Taylor Swift chose a simple floor-length gown.

The white Ralph Lauren dress was pure perfection, and made her look elegant and statuesque.

As a further reminder that she's past her sequins and sparkles phase, Taylor opted for a dark eye make-up and an edgy updo.  And those earrings I can't help but love.

Emmy Rossum attended the panel for her show 'Shameless' at Comic Con last week.

The actress made a bold statement in a pale blue shorts suit from the Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 collection.  

As far as I'm concerned, I thought she looked absolutely fantastic.  It's not easy to wear a tie for no reason and still look like that.  A sleek ponytail and matching sandals were all she needed.

Nicole Kidman in Ralph Lauren - Cannes Film Festival Day 11

Nicole Kidman finally brought it on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her HBO movie 'Hemingway & Gellhorn'.

She was stunning, in a sleek black and gold Ralph Lauren Fall 2012 halter dress with beading.  It reminded me of her Chanel No. 5 commercial, she looked alluring and elegant.

A curly faux bob and subtle cat eyes played up the beauty of the dress.

She was stunning in a silver Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 dress with an illusion neckline.  She was one of the key trendsetters in terms of her vampy make-up.  

One of my favourites by far.

Jennifer Lawrence In Ralph Lauren - 'The Hunger Games' London Premiere

Looks likes it's Jennifer Lawrence's mission to be the centre of attention at every premiere of 'The Hunger Games'.   Don't blame her, mind you.

The leading lady chose another golden gown (click here to see her in Prabal Gurung at the LA premiere) for her moment on the red carpet in London.

 The Ralph Lauren Collection gown looked like liquid gold and I love how you can see the almost reptilian texture. 

Jennifer kept the look simple once more, opting to tie her hair back in a low, messy ponytail with floating parts around the face and completed the look with bold eyelashes and glossy pink lips.

Berenice Bejo In Ralph Lauren - 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Berenice Bejo wore a Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 gown for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The silver, embroidered column gown with a plunging neck was worn by her with a low ponytail, a purple pendant necklace (which seems rather out of place) and a silver clutch.

She should have worn long, layered necklaces and worn her hair in a high bun.  I hate it when the dress is magnificent but the styling makes the look fall flat.

Camilla Belle walked the red carpet at the Art of Elysium Gala wearing a

Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 gown.

The canary yellow gown has a very structured, geometric feel to it which is unexpected from the designer but sadly, the skirt is just a tad messy for my liking.

Camilla's hair & make-up were spot on however (I especially love the bright pink lips with the hue of the dress), and the colour worked wonders on her despite her having dark hair.  She's wearing Ralph Lauren heels and carrying a Ferregamo clutch.

The silver cocktail dress is part of a 'Great Gatsby' inspired collection and Emmy wore it perfectly with the marcel-waves, dark lips & silver heels from the runway.

The Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to a homeless shelter in London yesterday looking casually stylish in a Ralph Lauren sweater dress.

The moss coloured, turtle-neck sweater dress was cinched in at the waist with a thick black belt which defined Kate's slim figure even more.

Tights and black suede boots (a staple for her) completed her cosy, festive look.

Angelina Jolie premiered her directorial debut, 'In The Land of Blood & Honey' in NYC last night.

She wore a silk top by Joseph and paired it with a Ralph Lauren pleated skirt; she added a statement necklace for some interest.

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of seeing Angelina in baggy/boring silhouettes in muted shades of black, brown and white.

Taylor Swift was spotted browsing shops in NYC yesterday, in a casual outfit.

Taylor wore a navy coloured, cable-knit by Ralph Lauren, tucked into a pleated yellow skirt.

Her colourful outfit was finished off with a ponytail, ruby-red lips, a turquoise satchel & red court shoes.

Drew Barrymore attended the MoMa Film Benefit wearing a feather-print maxi by Chanel, topped with a bolero jacket.  A simple hairstyle, red lips & a chain-strap bags were the finishing touches.

Amy Adams kept things classy at a book launch, in a metallic, ruched sheath by Dolce & Gabbana - worn with an updo, bright lips and caramel pumps.

Zooey Deschanel worked her quirky vibe, in a vintage dress at the GQ Men Of The Year party, which she wore with sparkly Miu Miu pumps, and her signature tights of course.

Nikki Reed wore a bright yellow Jenni Kayne shirt-dress for the launch of her cover with Seventeen magazine.  She kept things laid back with wavy hair and neutral pumps.

Freida Pinto attended a L'Oreal event in Paris, wearing a rich gold Ralph Lauren dress, worn with a Balmain jacket.  Black flats and an updo completed her chic evening look.

Shailene Woodley wore a floral, sweetheart Dolce & Gabbana frock for the premiere of 'The Descendants' along with satin pumps & a messy updo.

Also at the Ralph Lauren event was Naomi Watts, clad in a Fall 2011 gown.

I love this slinky, silk gown with a keyhole neck & silver sleeves; I like that Naomi wore it with an elegant updo, this dress deserves it!

Silver jewels & a clutch completed her look.

Jessica Alba & Camilla Belle - An Evening With Ralph Lauren

Spotted: Jessica Alba & Camilla Belle, at the event 'An Evening With Ralph Lauren', at the Lincoln Centre in NYC.

Both wore Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 collection pieces (one of my favourite Fall collections this year).

Jessica wore a velvet dress with an embellished bust; the look is classic and Jess wore it the right way, with chandelier diamond earrings, an elegant updo, red lips and a red clutch from the collection (and of course, red nails!).

Camilla Belle was also wearing a Ralph Lauren gown, from the Fall 2011 collection.

The figure-hugging gown with sheer shoulders, a beaded bodice & an embellished train was stunning on Camilla.

She wore her hair in a sleek side parted bun and finished off with diamond earrings, deep pink lips and diamond bracelets.

Freida Pinto Promoting Trishna

Freida Pinto's been a busy girl!  She did a photocall & attended the premiere of her new movie 'Trishna' in London.

At the photocall, she wore a sleeveless drop-waist shift by Louis Vuitton - wearing it with a simple hairstyle & strappy nude heels. 

The dress does absolutely nothing for her, what a disappointment!

At the premiere, however, she completely redeemed herself. 

Freida wore a sleek, sequined jumpsuit with a cross-back from the Ralph Lauren Collection (Fall 2011) with sky-high Louboutins and a red clutch from the collection. Freida is often seen in pretty dresses so it was a refreshing change from her.

Her gorgeous evening look was completed by a soft wavy updo and a Chopard diamond cuff.
