Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior - 2014 CFDA Awards

Marion Cotillard represented Christian Dior, of course, at the 2014 CFDA Awards.

She picked an airy number from the label's Spring 2014 Couture collection in fresh white. I know I didn't cover Cannes this year, but Marion didn't have a lot of luck there in dresses from Dior, so this was a slight improvement.

Also, I know Marion loves the bare faced, fresh faced look in terms of make-up but a bright lip colour wouldn't have gone amiss here.  Some colour was added via her lemon yellow Dior pumps however.

Lupita Nyong'o in Christian Dior - 2014 BAFTAs

The effervescent Lupita Nyong'o brightened up the red carpet at tonight's BAFTA Awards.

The '12 Years a Slave' actress continued her beautiful sartorial run in this emerald green ballgown from the, admittedly, rather worn out Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture collection.  But that certainly does not take away from this magical moment.

Lupita topped off her perfect look with a red manicure and lips, and gold hardware that came in the form of the waist-band and Ana Khouri cuffs and earrings.

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior - 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Jennifer Lawrence stuck to Dior at the 2014 SAG Awards.

It was another Fall 2013 Couture dress for her but not the usual ballgown affair.  She picked a super glitzy maroon and navy blue (and striped, but that's not too visible in the photos) and form-fitting column dress.  This streamlined and sleek dress was a complete winner.

Matching Jennifer Mayer jewels finished her look.

2014 Golden Globes - Colour

Despite the black and white dresses outnumbering brightly coloured ones, these few stood out thanks to the vivid designs and shades. Some fared better than others...

Lupita Nyong'o was on everyone's (including mine) best dressed list after this red carpet and it's clear to see why.  The '12 Years a Slave' actress shut it down in this super elegant red Ralph Lauren gown with cape sleeves.

2014 Golden Globes - Neutrals (Part II)

Jennifer Lawrence picked up her Best Supporting Actress trophy for 'American Hustle' in a Christian Dior Fall 2013 gown.  The strapless white dress with two black waistbands had a familiar silhouette but Jennifer updated the look with her pixie hairstyle, those emerald earrings by Neil Lane and the burgundy lip colour.

Lupita Nyong'o in Christian Dior - '12 Years a Slave' Luncheon

Lupita Nyong'o from '12 Years a Slave' attended  a luncheon in the movie's honour, in NYC on Tuesday.

It was a very clean, bright and simple statement from her in a tangerine Christian Dior sheath, worn with basic white pumps by Sophia Webster. I love the addition of the berry eye-shadow and glossy lip colour.

'Girls' Season Premiere

The winter premiere of Season Three of the hit HBO comedy 'Girls' took place on Monday evening in New York City.

Jemima Kirke wore a lingerie and vintage-inspired champagne silk dress to a mixed effect. The tumbling updo and red lips didn't do much to elevate her slightly messy look.

Lena Dunham looked good in a silver sequin dress from the Rochas Spring 2014 collection. Even though the length of the dress was sort of awkward, she looked good, with her hair styled into a sleek side parting and crystal studded pumps by Jimmy Choo.

Allison Williams got it right, like she always does in a pretty pale blue frock by Dior with large embellished flowers on the bodice.  Her look was neat, completed with a bun rose blush pumps.

In comparison, Zosia Mamet was a disappointment, in her plain black Saint Laurent dress with power shoulders and a v-neckline. Gold cuffs and pumps tried to breathe some interest into the look, but overall it was all rather boring.

Natalie Portman in Christian Dior - 2013 New York City Ballet Fall Gala

Natalie Portman wowed us at the annual New York City Ballet Fall Gala this year.

She wore a three tone Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture gown with beading all over.  I absolutely love the combination of the three bold hues and the texture of the beading - all photograph beautifully.

Natalie's light hair and dark smokey eyes worked great with the dress and she finished off her unique look with a Richard Mille clutch.  I couldn't imagine anyone wearing this dress and looking as statuesque and elegant as Natalie did on the night.

Mia Wasikowska in Christian Dior - 'Only Lovers Left Alive' at 2013 TIFF

The Toronto International Film Festival commenced last week.

On day one, Mia Wasikowska premiered her new movie, titled, 'Only Lovers Left Alive' with her co-stars Tom Hiddleston & Anton Yelchin.

Mia wore a simple red Dior gown, with no accessories and kept the hair and make-up simple as always.

One shouldn't hope in Mia's case.

Jennifer Aniston at 'We're the Millers' Premieres

Jennifer Aniston is busy promoting her new comedy 'We're the Millers' across the world.

For the NYC premiere of the movie, Jen wore a deep purple satin Burberry Resort 2014 dress with a long hemline that covered up her legs.  Satin is hardly forgiving but I have to give credit to Jennifer for carrying off the dress.

In London, Jennifer tapped into her uber feminine side by wearing this floral A-line frock by Dior.  She completed the look with navy and gold ankle-strap sandals.

Then in Berlin, it was back to black for her with an Alexander McQueen LBD that had an oversized black belt.  It was all very signature Jen, with the straight hair, and black accessories.

I think we've had the most shocking moment  with that floral dress so I would not be surprised to see her in more variations of black dresses hence on.

Jennifer Lopez in Christian Dior - Hollywood Walk of Fame

Jennifer Lopez was awarded a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame in LA.

She wore a dress to match the scale of the occasion, choosing a lovely Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 ballgown with a fitted white t-shirt style top and a flared, asymmetrical apricot hued skirt.

A retro style updo and glossy, neutral lips finished her look.  She wore ankle-strap Brian Atwood heels here, but I wish she'd worn a nude/white summery sandal as the BAs weigh the dress down.

Natalie Portman in Christian Dior - LA Dance Project Inaugural Benefit Gala

The always wonderful Natalie Portman attended the first ever LA dance project inaugral benefit gala in Los Angeles, a project started by her husband Benjamin Millipied.

She looked gorgeous in a Christian Dior Resort 2013 dress.  The royally red dress screamed summer with its warm tones, including the hot pink inside and the floaty design.

It fit Natalie beautifully and she finished the look with a low on the glamour styling and two-tone Christian Dior heels.

Jennifer Aniston in Christian Dior - 2013 Guys Choice Awards

Jennifer Aniston attended the annual Guys Choice Awards in LA last night.

She stuck to the evergreen LBD, this time picking a Dior Spring 2013 number.  Her strapless mini featured a side sash in pink which sort of floated around; on the runway it seemed fine but at an actual event it seems slightly strange.  Nevertheless, the dress did the job of showing off Ms. Aniston's tanned and toned legs.

A side parted hairstyle and Jimmy Choo sandals finished her look.

Nicole Kidman in Christian Dior - 2013 CMT Music Awards

Nicole Kidman supported husband Keith Urban as always, at a country music awards event.

For the CMT Music Awards held this past week, Nicole chose a simple Christian Dior LBD.  The only interesting part of her look were those Dior Fall 2013 white heels with a funky heel.

I definitely think that Nicole can do and does do better. However, I'm willing to give a pass considering she had such a good Cannes run this year and besides, she doesn't look bad at all.

Ziyi Zhang in Christian Dior - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony & 'Zulu' Premiere

Ziyi Zhang ended her time at Cannes this year in a dress by Christian Dior (she also wore Dior at the opening ceremony).

After a series of pastel dresses appearing on the red carpet, it was high time someone brought a 'pop' and Ziyi did exactly that.  She wore a black dress from the Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture collection (that has been very popular at Cannes this year), with neon yellow and pink floral applique.

Wavy locks and diamond earrings, along with black peep-toe heels finished out her look. Ziyi has been wonderful at Cannes this year, and this was a wonderful way to go out.

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Day 10 & 'The Immigrant' Premiere

White seems to be an emerging red carpet trend this year at Cannes.

Marion Cotillard wore the colour on Friday evening for the premiere of her movie 'The Immigrant'; her lovely Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 dress featured a dramatic back drop and full sleeves.

A sleek, tucked behind the ears hairstyle and Chopard jewels, as well as metallic pumps completed her look.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley in Christian Dior - 2013 amfAR Gala

Rosie HW attended the amfAR cinema against Aids gala in Cannes last week.

It was a Christian Dior dress with a fresh white bodice and an asymmetrical skirt; the white stood out against her glowing tan and I loved the structure of the skirt.

Wavy locks, blue smoky eyes and white pumps finished off her look.  Head to toe white is a big spring/summer trend and this is an ideal way of applying it to an evening look.

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Day 6 & 'Blood Ties' Premiere

It was back to Dior for Marion Cotillard, as she strolled down the red carpet for the premiere of 'Blood Ties', directed by her partner, Guillaume Canet.

She looked amazingly glamorous in a bright, tri-colour Christian Dior Resort 2014 dress with a high-low hemline.  She totally transformed the laid back feel of this dress by wearing her hair in a beehive updo.

Lots of eyeliner, diamond earrings and white platformed black ankle-strap heels finished off her look. I love how fresh, modern and 'today' the entire look is in comparison to the heavily embellished 'traditional' dresses we usually see on the red carpet at Cannes.

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior - Cannes Party to Celebrate 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

After a successful red carpet stint last night, Jennifer Lawrence changed into another Dior dress for a party to celebrate 'Catching Fire' with her cast and crew.

I loved this look head to toe: the white dress from the Fall 2013 collection featured an Andy Warhol painting print and the long hemline upped the elegance.  Jennifer also wore pink pumps instead of black, which added the perfect amount of colour to the look and picked up accents from the dress.

A tousled hairstyle with one side tucked behind the ear, diamond earrings and pink lips completed her look.

I know Jennifer wears Dior all the time, but she's killing it on the red carpet lately so it looks like we're not going to see a break in this collaboration any time soon.

Rooney Mara in Christian Dior - 'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' Cannes Photocall

Rooney Mara attended the photocall of her movie 'Ain't Them Bodies Saints' in Cannes yesterday.  The movie, which stars Ben Foster and Casey Affleck, is competing in the International Critics' Week section at the festival.

Rooney wore a black and white dress from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 collection.  She looked great in the two-tone dress, worn with another sleek updo, ear cuffs and Brian Atwood 'Aida' sandals.

At one point, I thought I would tire of Rooney's black and white/dark colours palette but she keeps it interesting with looks from Alexander McQueen, J. Mendel, and her go-to Givenchy
