Kerry Washington in Prada - 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Kerry Washington left everyone shocked at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The 'Scandal' actress (no pun intended) who is currently pregnant skipped the gown routine by going for a pink, crystal and floral applique encrusted crop top (yes, a crop top) that was worn with a flared and pleated black satin skirt, all custom-made by Prada.

The outfit sure covered her baby bump and for me at least, it worked without looking crazy.  But then that's Kerry Washington.

A high bun, hot pink and red Prada clutch and Louboutin pumps completed her look.

2014 Golden Globes - Neutrals (Part II)

Jennifer Lawrence picked up her Best Supporting Actress trophy for 'American Hustle' in a Christian Dior Fall 2013 gown.  The strapless white dress with two black waistbands had a familiar silhouette but Jennifer updated the look with her pixie hairstyle, those emerald earrings by Neil Lane and the burgundy lip colour.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa - 2013 Emmy Awards

Kerry Washington, of my personal favourite show, 'Scandal' wore Marchesa Spring 2014 to the Emmy Awards.

The nominated actress has a history of choosing floral, super feminine dresses on the red carpet so I was half-expecting her to choose a Marchesa. The ivory tulle dress featured large floral appliques throughout its length and a bandage bodice.

Kerry wore the dress with a striped Edie Parker clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Thandie Newton & Kerry Washington - Jimmy Choo & Esquire London Collections: Men Opening Night Party

Kerry Washington and Thandie Newton were in attendance at the Jimmy Choo event, held in London at the weekend.

Thandie went bold and bright in a neon Erdem Spring 2013 dress with beautiful embellishments. She completed her colorful look with shoes and bag by Jimmy Choo.  While I appreciate the fun element to her look, the pairing of those peep-toe heels with that dress felt odd.

Kerry kept things simple in a slip dress by Marc Jacobs and wore it with neutral accessories, both by Jimmy Choo.

Kerry Washington in Jason Wu - 2013 CFDA Awards

Kerry Washington continues her sartorial reign, attending the CFDA Awards in NYC last night.

She looked regal in a duchess satin, floor length backless gown by Jason Wu.  The ballgown was worn by her with a ballerina style bun, and a Lanvin box clutch. Simplicity always wins.

Kerry Washington in Vera Wang - 2013 Met Ball

Fashion maven Kerry Washington wore Vera Wang to the 2013 Met Ball.

Vera Wang and punk don't match at all, but the fishnet in the plunging neckline, and the use of elbow-length leather opera gloves sure reduced the sweetness of this purple floral print peplum gown.

Kerry Washington in Miu Miu - 2013 Oscars

Kerry Washington rounded off the awards season brilliantly at this year's Oscars.

The actress, whose movie 'Django Unchained' was up for a fair few awards, wore another custom creation by Miu Miu.

Her candy pink gown featured a incredibly beautiful, intricately embellished top and a short train too.  I didn't see the need for the bow at the waist, but that is a minor gripe.

She boldly paired the sweet pink gown with red accessories, including Louboutin pumps (not my favourite) and a Prada clutch.  The rest of her look was completed with Chopard and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Kerry Washington & Jennifer Lawrence in Lanvin - 2013 Weinstein Company & Chopard Pre-Oscars Party

Kerry Washington and Jennifer Lawrence, both attended the 2013 Weinstein Company & Chopard Pre-Academy Awards Party.  Both were part of movies produced by Harvey Weinstein, and both wore Lanvin.

Kerry wore an LBD from the Spring 2013 collection and added subdued accessories to her look, including the metallic Kotur clutch and satin pumps by Casadei.

Jennifer Lawrence wore her second Lanvin Spring 2013 look this weekend, in a long tuxedo-like sleeveless jacket with a single white lapel.  She made this look risque by just wearing that jacket, completing her rebellious look with loose pants and sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Kerry Washington in Giambattista Valli - 2013 Independent Spirit Awards

Kerry Washington was a delight on the red carpet once more, this time at the Indies.

She was fresh and beautiful in a green, mixed floral Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 Couture dress, modified slightly for her.  The two shades of green could have been sickly too look at but they look fabulous on Kerry.

A minor grip is regarding those shoes however.  An unexpected shade like pink would have added a wow factor.

Kerry Washington in Oscar de la Remta - 2013 NAACP Image Awards

It was a big night for Kerry Washington at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards in LA.  The actress not only won the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her work in 'Scandal', but also the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, for 'Django Unchained' and the President's Award for public service.

To top it all off, she looked gorgeous in a pretty Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 dress; I loved the combination of the two pastel colours and the entire silhouette.  Since the dress was so eye-catching anyway, Kerry wisely opted for simple hair and fresh make-up, finishing off the look with Louboutin pumps and a Kotur clutch.

Kerry Washington in Rodarte - 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Kerry Washington brought Rodarte to the table at the SAG Awards.

The versatile 'Django Unchained' actress was simply beautiful in the white custom-made gown which boasted a structured bodice with silver embellishments and a softer skirt.

An elegant ponytail kept her hair off the shoulders so we could see the bodice details.  Fred Leighton jewelry and Judith Leiber clutch finished off her look.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

'Django Unchained' actress Kerry Washington wore a Marchesa Pre-Fall 2013 dress to the Producers' Guild Awards.

The strapless black dress with a sweetheart neckline and frilly, tulle lining is pretty and feminine, classic Marchesa.

Kerry paired the dress with berry accents with her lipstick and clutch (also by Marchesa) and finished off her look with Louis Vuitton pumps.

2013 Golden Globes - Neutrals

Anne Hathaway led the way for the ladies in white/neutral shades.  The Golden Globe winning actress wore a simple but beautiful Chanel Spring 2009 Couture gown.  

The pure white, strapless dress had a beautiful texture which played up nicely in pictures. Anne decided to keep her look almost jewelry-less, with fine Chanel studs and earrings.

Kerry Washington in Stella McCartney - W Magazine and Dom Perignon’s 2013 Pre-Golden Globes Party

After an amazing run with the 'Django Unchained' press tour, I admit, I was a little disappointed to see her look so casual at the W Magazine pre-Golden Globes bash.

She wore a printed, loose-fit jumpsuit by Stella McCartney with a blazer by the designer too.

If she'd left out the blazer, this look would have felt more formal.

Kerry Washington - 'Django Unchained' Press Tour

Kerry Washington has had a whirlwind press tour for her movie 'Django Unchained', directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson.

Even though I didn't blog all her looks, I was of course, keeping an eye on them and was amazed to see that she didn't take a single misstep throughout the hectic photocalls and premieres.

Starting off in Rome, Kerry donned a colourful Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 dress and for the premiere, she wore a simple Prada dress with a keyhole detail at the waist.  I loved her effortless make-up and hair.

For the Paris premiere, she wore a beautiful, printed strapless gown from the Rochas Spring 2013 collection.  The verdict being head-to-toe perfection. 

Then for the Berlin photocall, she went all mod on us with her white and ivory, checkered Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 dress.  She went full on with the headband and white shoes.

For the German premiere, it was a breezy, colourful J. Mendel Spring 2013 gown and she ended the tour with a magnificent Giles Spring 2013 gown in London.

I wish all press tours went like this.

For the 2012 American Music Awards, Kerry Washington wore a bright Stella McCartney Resort 2013 dress.

I love the bright, canary yellow shade on her and her cute pin-up hairstyle. Her look was completed with coral Christian Louboutin pumps and a lemon-yellow Kotur clutch.

Kerry Washington attended the  LACMA Art + Film Gala looking pretty as ever.

The 'Scandal' actress wore a peach hued satin dress from the Gucci Spring 2013 collection and completely worked it.

There isn't a single aspect of her look that I do not love: the hair, smokey eye, clutch, heels, everything works.

Kerry Washington dressed up in a Marchesa dress to attended the 2012 BET Black Girls Rock Event in NYC.

The 'Scandal' actress donned a dress from the Marchesa Spring 2013 line and looked good wearing it.

Her look was completed with Christian Louboutin heels (which unfortunately don't go with that dress), and an Anndra Neen clutch.

Kerry Washington dazzled at the 2012 Emmys.

All she did was wear sequined rose-gold dress with a cowl-neck by Vivienne Westwood.  The dress did everything for her and she wore her hair in an updo.

Kerry Washington went for a playful, cute look at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Installation Luncheon.

She wore a scoop-neck frock with a flared skirt from the Christian Dior Resort 2013 collection, in the beautiful combination of light pink and a raspberry red.

The flirty frock was worn in a very simple style.  She wore it with red lips, which wouldn't have been my first choice, and nude Louboutin pumps.
