Sophia Bush in Marchesa - 2014 CFDA Awards

A newly blonde Sophia Bush attended the 2014 CFDA Awards in NYC last night.

It was a white Marchesa Fall 2014 dress for her; I like the delicate details of the floral cut outs on the sleeves, but then that's signature Marchesa.  

Sophia finished out the look with a serious statement neck piece by Dannijo and a romantic burgundy lip colour.  A Rauwolf clutch and Stuart Weitzman's popular 'Nudist' sandals completed the rest of her look.

Hannah Simone in Marchesa - 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards

'New Girl' actress, Hannah Simone attended Saturday evening's Screen Actors Guild Awards.

She was just ethereal in a soft, barely there light blue Marchesa Resort 2014 gown.  I loved the pale colour and the feminine detail such as the feather neckline and the pleated wide skirt with a slight train.

We usually see Hannah with her hair left straight down, so her teased bouffant updo was a surprising change and made her look beautiful. Glossy nude lips and simple diamond studs by Neil Lane completed her look.

Christina Applegate in Marchesa - 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards

Christina Applegate presented an award at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards last night.

The 'Anchorman' actress wore a demure but eye-catching red Marchesa dress with the signature tulle and delicate details.  As a presenter, it was a good choice for her to wear this fairly relaxed dress.

An elegant updo and nude Louboutin peep-toe shoes completed the look.

2014 Golden Globes - Black (Part I)

Cate Blanchett was as queenly and ethereal as always in a gorgeous, delicate black lace and tulle Armani Privé gown.  I was a little surprised as Cate does love to wear colour on the red carpet.  Nevertheless, she oozed sophistication with the addition of the faux-bob hairstyle, those gorgeous diamond earrings and the pink lips.

Alyson Hannigan & Cobie Smulders - 2013 Emmy Awards

Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders of 'How I Met Your Mother' attended the Emmys, as their show was nominated in the Comedy Series category.

Purple was a popular, as Alyson Hannigan wore a shade of it in the form of her strapless Marchesa Resort 2014 dress which featured a sweetheart neckline.   Wavy hair and a clutch completed her look.

Cobie Smulders was clad in an ivory J. Mendel creation - she was simply glowing.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa - 2013 Emmy Awards

Kerry Washington, of my personal favourite show, 'Scandal' wore Marchesa Spring 2014 to the Emmy Awards.

The nominated actress has a history of choosing floral, super feminine dresses on the red carpet so I was half-expecting her to choose a Marchesa. The ivory tulle dress featured large floral appliques throughout its length and a bandage bodice.

Kerry wore the dress with a striped Edie Parker clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Naomie Harris in Marchesa - 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' at 2013 TIFF

Naomie Harris and Idris Elba attended the premiere of 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Naomie was stunning in a delicate black tulle frock from the Marchesa Resort 2014 collection.  It could have just been a black dress but she really made the look her own with the sleek hairstyle, a glossy cherry pout and quirky earrings.

Rosario Dawson in Marchesa - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Day 7 & 'Cleopatra' Premiere

For her turn on the red carpet on the seventh evening of Cannes, Rosario Dawson went for a gold dress.

She was picture perfect in the embellished Marchesa Resort 2013 gown, which was practically made for such an event, as all Marchesa dresses tend to be.

A side-swept wavy hairstyle and classic matte red lips finished off the look.

Jessica Biel in Marchesa - 2013 Cannes Film Festival Day 5 & 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Premiere

Jessica Biel accompanied her husband, Justin Timberlake to the Cannes red carpet tonight for the premiere of his movie 'Inside Llewyn Davis'.

She recreated a swan princess look in her Marchesa Fall 2012 dress with embroidery and a feather hemline on the skirt.  

I actually really like this super feminine look - the hair was elegant but had a touch of modern, and I am lusting after her serpent neck piece.  She didn't add any colour at all, choosing to wear cream pumps.

Heidi Klum in Marchesa - 2013 Met Ball

Heidi Klum was all about ignoring the punk couture theme at this year's Met Gala.

The German supermodel shunned that edge in favour of a light, silver Marchesa Fall 2013 gown, with all the signature embellishments.

Heidi sure  looked great, especially with her tan and subtle make-up, but she's one of those women who would have been able to pull of a full-on punk rock look, so this is a slight disappointment.

Ashley Greene in Marchesa - 2013 Met Ball

Ashley Greene marked her third year at the Met Ball in a Marchesa gown.

After attending her past two galas in Donna Karan dresses, Ashley did a little change-up by wearing this black and gold Marchesa Fall 2013 frock.  The colours were also different, as she has stuck to light, neutral tones in the past.

While I adore the gold embroidery and general silhouette of the dress, it just doesn't suit Ashley's athletic frame, especially in the waist area as it makes her appear wider.

Olivia Munn was a sight to behold on the 2013 Academy Awards red carpet.

The 'Newsroom' actress was a lucky girl and got to wear the most beautiful red gown from the Marchesa Fall 2013 collection, shown to the world only a few weeks ago.

The royal red duchess satin and the incredible, gold embroidered bodice were fabulous.  She really didn't need much else with that dress, so an elegant updo and gold jewels worked well.

Naomi Watts looked graceful like always at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

'The Impossible' actress looked radiant in a strapless silver lace dress by one of her favourites: Marchesa.

She looked flawless, with the side-parted waves and pink lips.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa - 2013 Producers' Guild Awards

'Django Unchained' actress Kerry Washington wore a Marchesa Pre-Fall 2013 dress to the Producers' Guild Awards.

The strapless black dress with a sweetheart neckline and frilly, tulle lining is pretty and feminine, classic Marchesa.

Kerry paired the dress with berry accents with her lipstick and clutch (also by Marchesa) and finished off her look with Louis Vuitton pumps.

Kerry Washington in Marchesa - 2012 BET Black Girls Rock Event

Kerry Washington dressed up in a Marchesa dress to attended the 2012 BET Black Girls Rock Event in NYC.

The 'Scandal' actress donned a dress from the Marchesa Spring 2013 line and looked good wearing it.

Her look was completed with Christian Louboutin heels (which unfortunately don't go with that dress), and an Anndra Neen clutch.

Amy Adams in Marchesa - 'The Master' Premiere at 2012 TIFF

Amy Adams was in Canada for the TIFF premiere of 'The Master', in which she stars with Joaquin Phoenix.

She looked elegant in a fitted black Marchesa dress with a ribbon detail running through the front.

The updo, earrings all worked but her plain black pumps (Choos) left me wishing for more.  Anything could have worked with this dress other than those pumps.

Ms. Gomez once more pulled out all stops at the premiere of 'Spring Breakers' in Canada.

The actress looked incredible in a Marchesa Spring 2012 design.  

I adore that embellished nude bodice on that dress- it's just magic.

Selena wore with an updo, glossy lips, a Jimmy Choo clutch and sandals.

Vanessa Hudgens in Notte by Marchesa - 'Spring Breakers' Premiere at 2012 TIFF

Vanessa Hudgens keeps improving by the day.

For the red carpet premiere of  'Spring Breakers' premiere at 2012 TIFF, she looked lovely in a rich, fuschia Notte by Marchesa gown.

The colour was divine on Vanessa and she finished up her look with an elegant updo, gold cuff and an animal print clutch.

Maika Monroe in Marchesa - 'At Any Price' Premiere at 2012 Venice Film Festival

Red carpet newbie Maika Monroe attended the premiere of 'At Any Price' with her handsome co-star Zac Efron at the Venice Film Festival on Friday night.

She wore a beautiful, ethereal white dress with feathers and short sleeves from the Marchesa Fall 2012 collection.  

Marchesa is really the go-to for anyone who wants to make an impression on the red carpet so I'm glad Maika went with it.  The whole look also reminds me of Blake Lively at her 'Green Lantern' premiere.

A messy braid and natural make-up were all she needed.

Naomi Watts in Marchesa - 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' Premiere at 2012 Venice Film Festival

Naomi Watts joined her man, Liev Schrieber at the premiere of his movie  'The Reluctant Fundamentalist', held during the first day of the Venice Film Festival.

She was mesmerising, in a beautiful Marchesa Resort 2013 dress as she posed by the side of her partner on the red carpet.

The dress has all the makings of a typical Marchesa dress, with the nude overlay lace, beading and a delicate aura.  Naomi has a good record with the label as she wore a Marchesa dress during the Cannes Film Festival too.

Her look was completed with a low bun, red lips, gold jewelery and a gold box clutch.
