Cate Blanchett in Givenchy - 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Queen Cate graced the red carpet at this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The 'Blue Jasmine' actress, who sweeped the Best Actress award wore a custom-made Givenchy dress in an unexpectedly sweet powder pink.

The unusual details of the dress included the halter neckline and the raspberry sequins that adorn the front.  The hair style and make-up mirrored the dress perfectly, with a wispy low bun and baby pink lip colour.  Matching Chopard jewelry finished her perfectly feminine look.

Cate Blanchett in Lanvin - 2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards

Cate Blanchett attended the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, last night.  The 'Blue Jasmine' actress won the Best Actress trophy too.

She wore an effortlessly chic bottle green maxi from the Lanvin Pre-Fall 2014 collection - just adding a shape creating belt to the dress, along with sleek hair and orange-red lips. All hail.

2014 Golden Globes - Black (Part I)

Cate Blanchett was as queenly and ethereal as always in a gorgeous, delicate black lace and tulle Armani Privé gown.  I was a little surprised as Cate does love to wear colour on the red carpet.  Nevertheless, she oozed sophistication with the addition of the faux-bob hairstyle, those gorgeous diamond earrings and the pink lips.

Cate Blanchett attended the Beauty in Wonderland event in Milan, Italy during the fashion week.

She ditched her usual Italian favourite - Armani, in favour of a flirty and colorful red Prabal Gurung Resort 2014 dress.  The style is something different than what we are accustomed to seeing on Cate but it works nonetheless; love how the red lips match the feather hem too.

She finished her look with black peep toes by Roger Vivier.

Cate Blanchett attended the premiere of her new Woody Allen-directed movie 'Blue Jasmine' in New York City's Museum of Modern Art.

As she often does, Cate once more stunned in a vintage light pink Balenciaga dress with a plain cap-sleeve cape and a floral applique long skirt.  We all know that Cate can pretty much carry off any silhouette, and this slightly odd construction is no different.

She finished off her look with pompadour hairstyle, gorgeous flower shaped Van Cleef & Arpels earrings and matching Balenciaga pumps.

Australian acting icon Cate Blanchett attended the annual AACTA Awards in Sydney, Australia.

She looke phenomenal in a sequined red Armani Privé Spring 2009 dress with strong shoulders, plunging neckline and an uneven hemline.  I have one thing to say - previous Couture dresses should be resurrected more often.

She wore it with an elegant updo, black drop earrings and black heels.  Cate can do no wrong.

Aussie icon Cate Blanchett graced the 2012 Elle Women in Hollywood this week.

She surprised me by wearing a Proenza Schouler Spring 2013 dress to the party; bright colours and bold prints are rarely a sight on Ms. Blanchett.

That being said, she wore the dress well, completing the look with a clutch and pumps by Roger Vivier.

Cate Blanchett attended the Gotham Magazine Celebration for 'Uncle Vanya' in New York City on Wednesday.

She looked great in another Givenchy Resort 2013 dress.  I love this ensemble, especially the blouse-y top and fitted, printed skirt.  The colours are new on Cate too.

She wore it with her favourite Roger Vivier sandals.

The dress was paired by Cate with heavy Roger Vivier sandals.  I would have preferred to see her in the same sandals which the model has worn.

Queen Cate Blanchett arrived in an Alexander McQueen gown to this year's Costume Institute Gala.

She wore the black feathered dress with her usual serenity and poise. One someone else, the dress could have been overwhelming, but not on Cate.

She wore it very simply - with a quiff updo and a glossy, neutral lip shade.

Cate Blanchett attended W Magazine's reception for photographer Solve Sundsbo's exhibition in NYC in a Juan Carlos Obando Fall 2012 dress.

NYFW finishes today so it was impressive to see Cate get her hands on a fresh off the runway dress.  She wears the multi-colour dress with wrappings of shredded tulle, chiffon and silk jersey very well.

 Unlike her past few appearances, Cate's hair looked chic here and she completed the look with a pop of colour via her lipstick and gold Christian Louboutin pumps.

Cate Blanchett wore an Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 dress for the 2012 AACTA Awards.

 Cate looked graceful in the dazzling gold cocktail dress which she wore without the belt that's featured on the runway and even though I'm not missing it, it would have gone nicely with her sequined clutch.  

A strong updo, pink lips and pewter heels completed her look.

 I've missed McQueen Spring 2012 designs on the red carpet, and even though this isn't one of the evening gowns from the collection, it's still something.

Cate Blanchett In Louis Vuitton - Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile Opening Party

Cate Blanchett was all dressed up for the Louis Vuitton Roma Etoile Opening party held in Rome last night.  The Australian actress wore a dress from the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

The sequin covered, drop-waist dress has a grey jersey bodice & a tiered white bottom.  Cate doesn't usually do 'frilly' looks but she wears the dress well.

She completed the look with a gold clutch & blush, satin heels with bows which look a little chunky, a sleeker sandal would have worked better.

Cate Blanchett In Givenchy - IWC Schaffhausen Top Gun Gala

Cate Blanchett attended an event in Switzerland in a Givenchy Spring 2012 dress.

The LBD with an undulating lapel and a high neck looked pretty nice on Cate.  

My only complains are the boring hairstyle (she's all fierce dress-wise, but so 'I'm a mother of two' hair-wise), the tights & those Roger Vivier heels that are making her feet look like hooves.

Cate Blanchett In Louis Vuitton - Louis Vuitton Sydney Store Opening

Cate Blanchett helped launch the Louis Vuitton store in Sydney wearing a Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 dress.

The white dress with flower cutouts, tulle overlay and pleats made Cate look washed out - white just isn't her colour.

And as gorgeous as her hair & make-up are, I simply can't get my head around those white pumps.

Spotted: Cate Blanchett & Katie Holmes at the Armani Privé couture show in Paris.

I love Cate's red, sculpted dress - it's head to toe red but somehow works.

Katie wore all black, I think it's a little inappropriate, weather-wise, but I like how she wore those snakeskin heels to add interest to her look.

Meanwhile, Olivia Palermo was seen in a gorgeous chiffon yellow Topshop dress at the Giambattista Valli show. As usual, Olivia takes the dress a step forward through her mix and match accessories and that plexiglas Charlotte Olympia clutch is superb!

The Oscars - Pastels Trend

Pastels and light shades were in abundance, yet again.

Florence Welch wore Valentino Haute Couture, the colour does nothing for her! It's a total washout.

Mandy Moore kept it simple and pretty in a sparkly, tulle Monique Lhuillier gown. I love her makeup and hair.

Lilac was seen on both Mila Kunis & Cate Blanchett and both did justice to their respective gowns!

Mila wore Elie Saab (it's similar to the red lace dress that Halle Berry wore a couple of days ago), it's soft and feminine and suits Mila.

Cate looked queenly in a Givenchy number - it's edgy yet feminine and the pleats and beading add bonus points.

Halle Berry wore a gorgeous confection by Marchesa, I love the frothy bottom part! The nudey colour looks beautiful against her skin tone.
