Sofia Vergara wore Donna Karan Atelier to last evening's SAG Awards.

I was expecting something clingy (which this is) bordering on tacky (which this isn't). Sofia's silver dress dripping with sequins was just plain beautiful.

I liked the styling on this occasion too - the curls, and that stunning Amrapali necklace.

2014 Golden Globes - Black (Part I)

Cate Blanchett was as queenly and ethereal as always in a gorgeous, delicate black lace and tulle Armani Privé gown.  I was a little surprised as Cate does love to wear colour on the red carpet.  Nevertheless, she oozed sophistication with the addition of the faux-bob hairstyle, those gorgeous diamond earrings and the pink lips.

Sofia Vergara & Julie Bowen - 2013 Emmy Awards

'Modern Family' actresses Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen attended the Emmys in mermaid dresses.

Sofia wore a red hot, lace Vera Wang dress to the event with a deep v-neckline and her usual big jewelry.

Julie Bowen was a little more sophisticated with her blush pink Zac Posen dress with an architectural hemline.

The annual Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards took place in NYC on Monday night.

Adriana Lima wore a gorgeous Givenchy Fall 2013 gown with a shimmering bodice, full sleeves and a sheer tulle long skirt, catch Joan Smalls in a similar dress here.

Candice Swanepoel wore a Prabal Gurung Fall 2013 dress; the white frock featured sequins and a one-shoulder. Candice finished off with a natural looking face, clutch and chunky heels.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore a slinky white Kaufman Franco dress that was entirely backless; sleek straight hair, smoky eyes and glossy nude lips completed her look.

The 'Modern Family' actress' white lamé dress with a criss-cross neckline and a slit looked quite tacky due to the shiny material and her styling.

The hair was messy, shoes were clunky. Overall, a miss.

2013 Golden Globes - Black (Part I)

Black reigned supreme on the red carpet at this year's Golden Globe Awards.

Kate Hudson was splendid in a black Alexander McQueen gown with full sleeves and a gaping keyhole neckline.  What really made the gown look spectacular was the starburst like gold embellishment around the neck and the detail at the waist.

And of course, the look was completed with her bright, cheery red carpet laugh.

Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen - 2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Ms. Sofia Vergara attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in Zac Posen.

She looked colourful in the strapless dress but I really don't like Sofia's choice of jewelery somehow, it's always gaudy and out there.  The jewelery demands attention when it should be the dress doing that.

Shoes were boring, as was the hair.

Sofia Vergara in Marchesa - 2012 Met Ball

Sofia Vergara was on form at this year's Met Gala.

The voluptuous actress wore a strapless Marchesa Spring 2012 gown, complete with tulle, sequins and embroidery.

She kept her hair straight and low-key to let the dress do the talking and completed her look with pink lipstick and Harry Winston jewellery.

Sofia Vergara in David Meister - 2012 White House Correspondants Dinner

Funny lady Sofia Vergara attended this year's White House Correspondants Dinner in Washington.

The 'Modern Family' actress changed it up in a David Meister dress.  It was definitely refreshing to see her in something that wasn't body-hugging or a gown.

I thought she looked lovely in the strapless LBD with a jewelled waistband.

Sofia Vergara attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in a Roberto Cavalli gown.

It's a pretty dress but way too bridal for me.  I'm also not crazy about her choice of accessories as they feel mismatched.

Sofia Vergara In Marchesa - 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Sofia Vergara once more showed off her curves, this time in a Marchesa gown.

She looks splendid in the raspberry coloured sating gown with a pleated bodice.  The ponytail was a welcome change, even if I'm not a fan of the matching pink jewelery.

Sofia Vergara In Monique Lhuillier - 2012 Producers Guild Awards

Sofia Vergara wore another tight, strapless dress for the Producers Guild Awards held in Beverley Hills.

The colour-block, sequined cocktail dress by Monique Lhuillier wasn't anything new.  Sophia wore her hair in a ponytail, and added gemstone earrings and black platform heels.  

I wish that she'd wear something unexpected for once, just for fun.

Freida Pinto, who was a presenter at the awards, wore a custom creation by Prada.  The ballgown has such a princess-y feeling to it, and Freida looked very pretty in the colour.  She wore it with an ornate Chopard necklace and carried a Roger Vivier clutch.  Loving her hairstyle.

Rihanna & Sofia Vergara - New Year's Style

Rihanna went demure at a New Year's Eve party in a lace Tom Ford dress.  

The full sleeves and modest hemline were balanced by a key-hole neckline.  An updo, red lips & pointy black heels completed the look.

Sofia Vergara wore a hot white Blumarine dress at a party, with nude peeptoes & a straight, centre-parted hairstyle.

Taylor Swift wore yet another princess-style gown, this one by Reem Acra, at the Nashville Symphony Ball - an updo completed her look.

Sofia Vergara announced the Screen Actors Guild Awards wearing a fresh, halter-neck dress by David Meister.  She wore it with turquoise earrings & nude Casadei pumps.

Leelee Sobeiski attended the NYC premiere of 'Iron Lady' in a navy dress with a fluted skirt by Alaia; I love the micro-scalloped hemline.  Leelee wore it with tights and black boots, I think some statement accessory was desperately needed here - maybe a bracelet or a clutch?

Chanel Iman hosted a party in NYC, wearing a cute Valentino mini.  The dress had a sheer, polka-dot top that had a pearl-encrusted collar which was contrasted with a leather skirt.

Kate Mara attended the NYC premiere of sister Rooney's movie, 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' in a pink Christian Dior dress.  It was flirty, feminine and suited Kate.

Whitney Port attended an event by Very.com in a cute winter outfit: a knit-sweater, worn with tweed pants and this all was made festive via sparkles.

Jennifer Lopez changed into a silver Emilio Pucci mini with full sleeves, at the AMA after party - legs!

Gemma Arterton attended an awards night in London, in a studded Balmain top, leather bottoms & a Viktor & Rolf tuxedo jacket.  The clutch matched the top, way to make a statement.

Heidi Klum launched her jewellery line at a Beverley Hills hotel wearing a crisp white button-down with an animal-print pencil skirt and patterned heels.

Sofia Vergara wore a Roberto Cavalli mini at a party, with gold accessories.  I wish she'd not carried that clutch, it's an awkward size.

Miranda Kerr walked around NYC looking super chic in leather pants, a grey peacoat worn with a printed scarf.  She wore comfy black flats and carried her favourite burgundy Celine tote.

Gisele Bundchen promoted a shampoo line in Brazil wearing a white sheath, with a black jacket and pumps - her hair was the centre of attraction, which was appropriate seeing she was promoting a shampoo brand.

Sofia Vergara In Carolina Herrera - 'Happy Feet Two' Premiere

Sophia Vergara wore a Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 dress at the premiere of the movie, 'Happy Feet Two'.

I like the printed, knee-length dress with black straps.  

However, I dislike the earrings and shoes she's wearing.

I also wish she'd put her hair in a ponytail to show off the top half of the dress.
