Vanessa Hudgens in Blumarine - 'Springbreakers' Photocall at 2012 Venice Film Festival

'Springbreakers' star Vanessa Hudgens attended the movie's photocall, held during the Venice Film Festival.

The actress looked sophisticated in a Blumarine frock.  The white dress with a black leaf applique over the shoulders and bodice, along with that faux bob made for a surprisingly polished look.

I say surprisingly because Vanessa's casual style is rather grungy and leans towards the boho side.  I wish she'd incorporate some of the elegance here into her daily style.

Katy Perry in Blumarine - 2012 Billboard Music Awards

Katy Perry attended the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in a Blumarine Fall 2012 dress.

The shimmery pastel coloured dress looked season appropriate but clashed with Katy's hair and make-up.

I'm over her hair at this point so I have no comments.

Katy Perry wore a Blumarine dress to Elton John's Oscar Viewing Party.

The sequined dress with sheer overlay and embroidery was nice on its own.

But the blue hair zapped all the sophistication out of her look.  I can't believe she's still trying to make it work.

Rihanna & Sofia Vergara - New Year's Style

Rihanna went demure at a New Year's Eve party in a lace Tom Ford dress.  

The full sleeves and modest hemline were balanced by a key-hole neckline.  An updo, red lips & pointy black heels completed the look.

Sofia Vergara wore a hot white Blumarine dress at a party, with nude peeptoes & a straight, centre-parted hairstyle.

IIFA Awards 2011

The annual iifa awards took place in Toronto, Canada during the weekend and I have to say, the clothes didn't disappoint (overly), no disasters, at the very least.

Sonakshi Sinha wore an Alexander McQueen sheath, which has been seen on Kim Kardashian before; it's a good choice for her but I'm not loving those ankle-strap wedges - too casual.

She went for shimmer next, in a wrap dress - again, looks great on her but the hairstyle is too severe and the flower makes her look like a flamenco dancer almost.


Neha Dhupia nailed it on both nights; the polka-dot print shouldn't really work on the green carpet but this Lanvin dress looks so very elegant!

She later wore a chain-detail, cream-coloured Catherine Malandrino dress that she wore with the right hair and make up.


Dia Mirza had a pattern - maxi-style dresses with floral prints and a soft hair-do which is fine but I wish she'd had some fun with her fashion!

The Blumarine dress worked well on her but the second Matthew Williamson didn't really wow me.


Priyanka Chopra stuck to Manish Malhotra - the velvet is horrendous but at least the white overpowers it.

Shilpa Shetty also went with a shimmery black gown, hers a Dolce & Gabbana - but the gaudy necklace and shoes are a turn off.


Anuskha Sharma looked absolutely lovely in a Sabyasachi saree, flawless.
