Katy Perry in Dolce & Gabbana - 2013 Met Ball

Katy Perry accompanied Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana to the 2013 Met Ball.

The singer, obviously, wore Dolce & Gabbana.  There's no denying that the Fall 2013 cocktail dress with gold embroidery is stunning.  However, I just didn't understand the concept of her look.

The gold tiara, big hair, dark lips all are fine, but then the simple Mary-Jane shoes are a downer.  Also, where's the punk element? There's a photo of her doing a this, which just looks... odd, considering her look.

Katy Perry in Herve Leger - 2013 Kids Choice Awards

Katy Perry attended the 2013 Kids Choice Awards on Saturday night.

The newly single singer wore colourful Herve Leger Pre-Fall 2013 separates that consisted of  a crop, halter neck top and a typical figure hugging pencil skirt.  I loved the vivid print.

She wore it quite simply, with a side-parted hairstyle, Melinda Maria jewelry and black Louboutins.

Katy Perry in Elie Saab - 2012 MTV Video Music Awards

Katy Perry left the blue hair and crazy costumes home for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer was clad in a black Elie Saab Fall 2004 Couture gown with a leather harness of sorts and a blue and pink floral print.

It's definitely an eye-catching dress and Katy wore it well.  Wavy locks and simple make-up were the finishing touches.

Katy Perry in Versace - 'Katy Perry: Part of Me' Sydney Premiere

Katy Perry went to Australia to promote her documentary 'Katy Perry: Part of Me'.

The singer was looking great, in a strapless gold dress from the Versace Fall 2012 collection.  Have to say, it works on her and I'm glad she didn't over accessorise the look.

Katy Perry in Dolce & Gabbana - 'Katy Perry: Part of Me' Premiere

Katy Perry has a documentary about herself.

Anyway, for its premiere, she took to the red carpet in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana dress.  The velvet frock with a sweetheart neckline was also worn by Sonam Kapoor back in May.

I have to say, much preferred the way Sonam wore this dress; I can't believe Katy paired it with matching pumps.

Katy Perry in Temperley London - 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' Appearance

Katy Perry made an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Monday.

She looked lovely in a black, full-sleeved dress from the Temperley London Fall 2012 dress with blue embroidery, as well as colourful floral detail.

I wasn't a fan of her shoe choice though.

Katy Perry in Roland Mouret - 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' Appearance

Katy Perry made an appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' on June 21st.

She was beautiful in a fitted, navy blue Roland Mouret Spring 2012 dress with a red floral design and cap sleeves.  

I'm not usually a fan of Katy's style but on this occasion, she truly impressed.  Her hair didn't even bother me.

Katy Perry attended the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in a Blumarine Fall 2012 dress.

The shimmery pastel coloured dress looked season appropriate but clashed with Katy's hair and make-up.

I'm over her hair at this point so I have no comments.

Katy Perry in Temperley London - 2012 ASCAP Pop Awards

Katy Perry had an awkward, risky moment on the red carpet at the ASCAP Pop Awards in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

The singer wore a Temperley London Spring 2012 gown with delicate embellishments and a subtle silver sheen.  Unfortunately, Katy almost had a malfunction which took all the focus off the beautiful dress.

Her hair is a different shade of blue now, by the way.

Katy Perry in Manish Arora - IPL Pre-Inaugral Event

Katy Perry is currently in India and performed at the opening event of the IPL (Indian Premier League which is a cricket competition).

Before her performance though, she attended an event where she wore a Manish Arora dress.  The sequined peach dress with his signature abstract design looked great on Katy.

She wore it with a bindi (a traditional Indian accessory), a thin black belt and gorgeous Charlotte Olympia sandals.

Katy Perry in Paco Rabanne - 2012 Echo Awards

Katy Perry attended the Echo Awards in Berlin last night in a Paco Rabanne Spring 2012 dress.

The metallic and plastic paillette covered dress has a pink tinge to it.  There's simply no denying that the dress fits Katy like a glove and suits her.

However, the blue hair and nude Christian Louboutin heels don't work with that dress.

Gwyneth Paltrow attended the Women in Film Pre-Oscars event in a jumpsuit by Band of Outsiders that had tuxedo-like lapels and a plunging neckline.  Her favourite Loree Rodkin necklace, and Jimmy Choo peep-toes completed the look.

Selena Gomez also attended the event in a dress by Ani Lee that had a bustier top and a skirt.  There's just something costume-y about this dress no? She looks like she's just jumped off the set of some Disney fairy movie.

Katy Perry is currently in the City of Lights as she attends shows during Paris Fashion Week.

For a lunch, Katy wore a Vera Wang Spring 2012 dress in a pale blue and paired it with a pink bag and nude sandals - it feels like a mismatch of things but at least the colours are pretty.

Then in the evening, she wore a Balmain mini dress with the signature markings of the label's dresses.  

By now you must know how much I detest her blue hair.

Kate Middleton did a charity event in a bright Missoni coat, which she wore with suede Rupert Sanderson pumps.  I love the addition of the bright daffodils.

Carrie Underwood wore an iridescent Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 gown to an event.  Love this dress on her, but the hair-do feels too pageant-y.

Katy Perry In Blumarine - Elton John's Oscar Viewing Party

Katy Perry wore a Blumarine dress to Elton John's Oscar Viewing Party.

The sequined dress with sheer overlay and embroidery was nice on its own.

But the blue hair zapped all the sophistication out of her look.  I can't believe she's still trying to make it work.

Katy Perry In Roland Mouret - The Americana at Band Appearance

Katy Perry made an appearance at a mall in California yesterday in a Roland Mouret Spring 2012 dress.

The two shades of blue are refreshing to look at and the black bow belt adds a nice balance to the dress which features cap sleeves & a flared hem.

However, I'm not quite loving the end result on Katy, for several reasons

 The blue hair is still an issue, and her accessories take away from the elegance of the dress rather than add anything - the matching Giuseppe Zannoti heels don't work either.

Katy Perry was a vision in an Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture gown at this year's Grammys.

The embellished ice-blue dress with three-quarter sleeves and a back drop was simply stunning on her.  Perfect make-up. Imperfect hair colour.

Katy Perry In Alexis Mabille - 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute

Katy Perry commanded attention at the MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute event, where Sir Paul McCartney was honoured.  The blue-haired singer wore an Alexis Mabille Spring 2012 Couture dress.

 Alexis Mabille creations are always exuberant and elaborate and I think Katy has the personality to pull the dress of - I love the blush colour, and the drop-waist with lace and a belt to cinch the waist.  

 The floral fascinator is part of the original look but seemed unnecessary on the red carpet. I'm not keen on the blue hair and make-up with this dress either.

Katy Perry launched her newest fragrance called 'Meow!' wearing a pink Moschino dress.

Sure, as always, the satin is unflattering but she looks adorable in the baby pink dress with a black pussy bow and waist band.

Katy Perry In Versace - Change Begins Within Benefit

Squashing divorce rumours, Katy Perry attended a charity benefit last night with husband Russell Brand by her side.

She wore a Versace Spring 2012 dress - the white sheath with gold embellishments looked pretty good on the singer, and I'm glad that bubble-gum pink hair colour is fading away.

A short, straight hairstyle and gold pumps completed her look.

Katy Perry attended the Grammy nominations event in a lacy pink Dolce & Gabbana strapless column gown but her pink hair just killed the look that could have worked well.

Amber Heard was at the Bahamas Film Festival, also wearing a summery Dolce & Gabbana dress.  The white dress with a nude coloured belt was matched with her peeptoes.

Angie Harmon wore a shimmery Jean Fares couture dress to the Snowflake Ball in NYC.  This dress is very socialite-esque (think Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian) and just does not suit Angie.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore a plunge-neck Balmain mini to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show viewing party.  As hot as she looks, the hair & accessories are just falling flat.

Jessica Alba looked super stylish wearing straight-leg red jeans by Kate Spade New York while on a coffee run in LA, with a white tee, black blazer, gold necklace and black boots.

Jessica Biel stepped out in London wearing orange separates with a blue coat and blue caged heels.  As much as I love the bright colours, the orange on orange just makes me think of prison.
