The actress looked super sleek in a fitted leather sheath with a v-neck by Narciso Rodriguez. It was a departure from florals, and separates which she tends to prefer.
Rashida looked brilliant, needless to say and I like that she swept her hair off the shoulders into a ponytail. Graziela emerald earrings added colour and she wore Giuseppe Zanotti heels to complete the look.

Zoe Saldana hit the MTV Video Music Awards, held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles last night.
She looked great in a soft, powder pink Salvatore Ferregamo Resort 2013 dress with full sleeves. On the runway the dress seems sort of casual, but trust Zoe to make it seem effortlessly red carpet worthy.
She completed her look with curly hair, bare minimum make-up and sandals by Ferregamo.

Taylor Swift attended the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in LA looking sharp.
The singer skipped her beloved sparkly, pretty dress for this white pant suit by J. Mendel. Frankly, my jaw dropped when I saw Taylor wearing this, mainly because it was so out of the blue. But she rocked it.
The straight hair, red lips and sandals signal a strong shift in her style, I'm hoping this continues.

Rihanna attended the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in LA looking lovely.
The singer scrubbed up well for the event and showed off her newly cut locks in a simple white Adam Selman dress. The backless dress was reminiscent of the dress Rihanna wore at the 'Battleship' LA premiere (it was Adam Selman too).
I liked this outing better than the last one, simply because her hair looks polished.

Emma Watson brightened up the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. The actress, who we will next see in 'Perks of Being a Wallflower' attended the event with her co-star Ezra Miller.
Emma went for colour in this Peter Pilotto Resort 2013 dress which had a colour blocked bodice and a fun, printed short skirt.
She looked graceful as always and wore her hair in a braided style. Tom Ford sandals provided the finishing touch.

Katy Perry left the blue hair and crazy costumes home for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
The singer was clad in a black Elie Saab Fall 2004 Couture gown with a leather harness of sorts and a blue and pink floral print.
It's definitely an eye-catching dress and Katy wore it well. Wavy locks and simple make-up were the finishing touches.

Alicia Keys was in attendance at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, held last night.
The singer, who performed her new song 'Girl on Fire' wore a dress by Alexandre Vauthier. You may remember that she wore a dress by the designer at the Grammys too.
Her grey silk dress had a lone sleeve and a leg split. The dress is not flattering at all and I hate the way it bunches around the arms and waist.
She tried to bring edge with her hair and earrings but that dress is an eye-sore.

British singer Rita Ora was in attendance at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
The singer donned a fully embellished, bottle green jumpsuit, custom made by Emilio Pucci which had full sleeves and a plunging neckline which was covered with sheer fabric.
I love the colours and embellishments but would have loved to see all this in the form of a dress, rather than a jumpsuit.
Wavy hair and dark red lips, along with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Louboutin pumps completed her look.

The singer wore a black, full sleeved gown with sheer detail from the Emilio Pucci Fall 2012 collection for the event.
Miley also formally debuted her new hairstyle, which was a mirror image of Pink's. I think she looked pretty great in this dress which was worn with an pink lips.
An Edie Parker clutch, Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz baubles completed her look.
