2014 Golden Globes - Black (Part I)

Cate Blanchett was as queenly and ethereal as always in a gorgeous, delicate black lace and tulle Armani Privé gown.  I was a little surprised as Cate does love to wear colour on the red carpet.  Nevertheless, she oozed sophistication with the addition of the faux-bob hairstyle, those gorgeous diamond earrings and the pink lips.

Sofia Vergara & Julie Bowen - 2013 Emmy Awards

'Modern Family' actresses Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen attended the Emmys in mermaid dresses.

Sofia wore a red hot, lace Vera Wang dress to the event with a deep v-neckline and her usual big jewelry.

Julie Bowen was a little more sophisticated with her blush pink Zac Posen dress with an architectural hemline.

Emily Blunt in Zac Posen - 'Freeing Voices, Changing Lives' Benefit Gala

Emily Blunt attended the 'Freeing Voices, Changing Lives' Benefit Gala in NYC this past week.

The British actress, who is currently sporting dirty blonde locks, wore a gorgeous Zac Posen Spring 2013 tea length dress.  The midnight blue dress was beautifully soft, elegant and striking at the same time.

A wavy hairstyle, deep red glossy lips, a clutch and Brian Atwood sandals completed her look.  I think this is my favourite Emily Blunt look since her Jason Wu success last year.

Juliette Lewis in Zac Posen - 2013 CFDA Awards

Juliette Lewis attended the CFDA Awards, where she served as a presenter.

She looked wonderful and rather ladylike in her satin, off-shoulder Zac Posen cocktail dress with a flared skirt.

A soft updo, delicate earrings and burgundy, ankle-strap pointy pumps finished off her look.  I've never featured Juliette on this blog but this is probably the best I've ever seen her look.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Zac Posen - Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, held at the Edison Ballroom in New York City on Friday evening.

She was event appropriate, and lovely, in a floral print tea dress with flutter sleeves from the Zac Posen Spring 2013 collection.

I am a huge Zac Posen fan - his craftsmanship is inimitable and this dress is just one of the many elegant dress that are always a huge part of his collections.

SJP finished off her look with straight hair, light pink lips; accessories included Roger Vivier satin heels and Fred Leighton jewels.

Uma Thurman in Zac Posen - 2013 Met Ball

I was spell-bound by Uma Thurman on the red carpet, at the 2013 Met Ball in NYC.

The actress wore a parrot green Zac Posen with an off-shoulder neckline and signature fitted mermaid silhouette.  

Uma's beauty  stole the attention, with the straight, edgy ponytail and vivid red lips - she was simply stunning.  Added touches included the gold, spiky earrings.

Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen - 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Amanda Seyfried looked absolutely gorgeous at the 2013 SAG Awards.

The 'Les Miserables' actress wore a beautiful, ink blue Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013 gown to the event with a fitted bodice and a burst of tiered layers at the hem which looked like sea waves.

I was in love with her entire look and the styling was flawless too.  Tumbling, glossy hair, kohl rimmed eyes and an ice-blue Lorraine Schwartz pendant completed the classic look.

Kat Dennings in J. Mendel & Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen - 2012 Emmy Awards

Kat Dennings of '2 Broke Girls' wore a strapless chiffon gown from the J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2012 collection to the Emmys.  I thought she looked great but it was hardly ground-breaking.

Kelly Osbourne broke out her purple make-up to match her lavender Zac Posen Resort 2013, one-shoulder gown.  I liked the hair on this occassion, not so much the colour as the style, mind you.

Jessica Biel in Zac Posen - 'Total Recall' Dublin Premiere

Jessica Biel looked lovely in a cocktail dress at the Dublin premiere of 'Total Recall', held at the Savoy hotel in the city.

The actress decided to forego the usual red carpet uniform of a full-fledged gown in favour of a more comfortable shorter dress.  Her strapless ivory and gold jacquard dress from the Zac Posen Fall 2012 collection featured an intricate, folded bodice.  

Jessica went for a faux-bob hairstyle like her co-star Kate Beckinsale but kept it slightly messy to add edge.  The rest of her look was completed via red lips, embellished clutch and mustard satin Manolo Blahnik pumps.

Kate Beckinsale in Zac Posen - 'Total Recall' Berlin Photocall

Kate Beckinsale was pretty in a purple coloured dress as she posed on the China Club terrace in Berlin for the photocall of 'Total Recall'.

The English actress wore a deep, muted violet coloured dress by Zac Posen which featured a gathered neckline, full sleeves and a below knee hemline.

As usual, Kate went for a soft, feminine mood by wearing her hair back in waves and gold earrings.  The only thing I didn't like was those bright blue Louboutin pumps - they really don't go with the purple dress.

Zoe Saldana & Minka Kelly - Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

Zoe Saldana joined Minka Kelly (and more) at the annual Polo Classic in New Jersey on Friday.

Minka in a simple dress was no surprise.  She looked pretty in a lacy white Zac Posen dress which was worn with Christian Louboutin sandals... no pumps!  Laid-back tresses and aviators completed her look.


Zoe Saldana shocked me a little bit, in her Theyskens' Theory t-shirt and leather shorts.  It seemed very out of place for a polo match.  A ponytail and tan sandals (Louboutins) concluded the look.

Lea Michele in Zac Posen - 2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Lea Michele really brought the glamour to the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday night.

She wore a dark blue Zac Posen gown with a romantic, draped off-shoulder neckline and looked wonderful.  The heavy make-up worked for her here and I'm glad she wore her hair in a ponytail to show off those stunning Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

Ms. Sofia Vergara attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in Zac Posen.

She looked colourful in the strapless dress but I really don't like Sofia's choice of jewelery somehow, it's always gaudy and out there.  The jewelery demands attention when it should be the dress doing that.

Shoes were boring, as was the hair.

If they want to show off their curves, Zac Posen is a go-to for a lot of ladies in the celebrity world.

Amber Heard did the same when she wore this dusty rose Zac Posen gown to the Met gala last night.

She worked that gown like no other and shut it down with retro hair and bold red lips.

Amber Heard solidified her 'bombshell' status at the launch of 'The Conversations' series at the DVF Studio in NYC on Saturday.

She wore a fuschia corset top with a bright red Zac Posen Fall 2012 pencil skirt.  

Voluminous hair, blushed cheeks and bow-topped pumps were the finishing touches.  Wouldn't a sleek gold sandal have upped the sexy factor?

Krysten Ritter did an appearance on 'David Letterman' on Tuesday in NYC.

The 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23' actress wore a sapphire coloured, off-shoulder dress from the Z Spoke by Zac Posen Spring 2012 collection.

I thought the colour was great on her and if you're wondering about her hair, she left it down for the taping!  Her look was completed with jewelled Jimmy Choo sandals.

Coco Rocha in Zac Posen - New Yorkers for Children Gala

Coco Rocha looked stunning at the New Yorkers for Children Gala in NYC last night.

The soft, pastel coloured Zac Posen Spring 2012 gown with butterfly sleeves and a beautiful train rendered me speechless.  

It's one thing to see it on the runway, but to see it in real life... wow. I pray and hope that we get to see at least one more gown from this collection during the Cannes or the Met Gala.

Coco left her look fairly simple, just going with an updo and a light pink lip colour.

Lily Collins in Zac Posen - 'Mirror Mirror' Paris Premiere

Lily Collins looked majestic at the Parisian premiere of her movie 'Mirror Mirror'.

She wore a strapless, jacquard fishtail gown by who else... Zac Posen.

The colour isn't my favourite though, I would much rather have seen her in one of his Spring 2012 gowns.

Dramatic hair & make-up complimented the dress.

Glenn Close In Zac Posen - 2012 Oscars

Best Actress nominee Glenn Close wore a Zac Posen gown for the Oscars.

The dark green gown with a a gauzy, fish-tail was dramatic enough for the scale of the event, and that colour suited Glenn perfectly.

Paula Patton In Zac Posen - Vanity Fair & Juicy Couture 'Vanities' Event

Paula Patton got into the Spring mood with this floral Zac Posen number, at the Vanity Fair & Juicy Couture 'Vanities' Event.

While I like the pale blue frock with a floaty skirt and a dainty print, pairing it with that bright Simone jacket felt uneccesary.  

The ponytail and red lips would have been enough to prevent her look from being boring.
