2014 Golden Globes - Neutrals (Part I)

Rashida Jones brought her cool style to the red carpet at the Golden Globes.  The 'Parks & Recreation' star wore a dress from the Fausto Puglisi Spring 2014 collection.  I loved this cream dress with a gold embellished palm tree design from the moment I saw the runway picture and I can't think of a better person to wear it than Rashida. A top-knot, pear ear-cuffs and a dark lip colour complimented her look.

Kate Mara in J. Mendel - 2013 Emmy Awards

Kate Mara, who stars in the Netflix original drama 'House of Cards' impressed at the Emmys.

Kate has had a successful style run this year and this J. Mendel Spring 2014 dress kept in line with that.  There was a freshness about her look and the leg slit in the white skirt provided the perfect balance to the sporty feel of that full-sleeved mesh top.

A straight hairstyle, smokey eyes and white sandals by Charlotte Olympia kept her look modern and interesting.

Kate Mara in Dolce & Gabbana - 2013 CFDA Awards

Kate Mara attended the 2013 CFDA Awards in NYC last night (seen here with jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth).

The 'House of Cards' star wore a simple, lightweight doily dress by Dolce & Gabbana, inspired no doubt, by their Sicily influenced collection.

Kate looked good in the flattering silhouette and accessorised with a beautiful emerald and jade Irene Neuwirth necklace that did compete for attention but was stunning nonetheless.

Celebrities at Salvatore Ferragamo's Signorina Fragrance Launch

Quite a few celebs attended the launch of Salvatore Ferregamo's new scent 'Signorina', in NYC amongst a ton of pink roses. But really, how pretty are they?!

Emma Roberts shunned the printed frocks in favour of a loose white blouse tucked into cropped navy pants.  Love those bright aqua satin pumps.

Kate Mara donned a colourful, floral print dress from the Salvatore Ferregamo Spring 2012 line with opalescent heels.

 AnnaSophia Robb, who will star as Carrie Bradshaw in a pilot of 'The Carrie Diaries' also wore a dress from the Spring 2012 collection. She paired it with navy blue pumps.

'Sports Illustrated' model Chrissy Teigen (follow her on Twitter by the way - hilarious)  went the palazzo pant way in her bright pants and a loose-fitting, sheer black blouse.

Piper Perabo wore a silk blouse with a keyhole and an animal-print skirt (Spring 2012) with jewel coloured pumps.

Fashion Roundup

Taylor Swift wore yet another princess-style gown, this one by Reem Acra, at the Nashville Symphony Ball - an updo completed her look.

Sofia Vergara announced the Screen Actors Guild Awards wearing a fresh, halter-neck dress by David Meister.  She wore it with turquoise earrings & nude Casadei pumps.

Leelee Sobeiski attended the NYC premiere of 'Iron Lady' in a navy dress with a fluted skirt by Alaia; I love the micro-scalloped hemline.  Leelee wore it with tights and black boots, I think some statement accessory was desperately needed here - maybe a bracelet or a clutch?

Chanel Iman hosted a party in NYC, wearing a cute Valentino mini.  The dress had a sheer, polka-dot top that had a pearl-encrusted collar which was contrasted with a leather skirt.

Kate Mara attended the NYC premiere of sister Rooney's movie, 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' in a pink Christian Dior dress.  It was flirty, feminine and suited Kate.

Whitney Port attended an event by Very.com in a cute winter outfit: a knit-sweater, worn with tweed pants and this all was made festive via sparkles.
