2014 Golden Globes - Black (Part II)

Black, as always, was a favourite for many stars at last night's Golden Globe Awards.

Jessica Chastain created a bombshell look in her custom black Givenchy dress.  The pattern on the dress created wonderful curves for the red headed actress, who wore her locks in retro manner and finished the look with a stunning Bulgari necklace.

Emma Roberts in Diane Von Furstenberg - 2013 Met Ball

Emma Roberts wore a black Diane Von Furstenberg dress to the 2013 Met Ball.

I thought she looked great in this seemingly simple black dress, with an embellished belt.  Her hair was worn up (check out the blue hair piece) and the look completed with bracelets and black heels.

Emma Roberts in Marica Lucia Hohan - 2013 Warner Bros. and InStyle Post-Golden Globes Party

Emma Roberts looked very ladylike at the 2013 Warner Bros. and InStyle Post-Golden Globes Party.

The young actress went for an LBD with a twist by Maria Lucia Hohan.  The strapless dress with a flared skirt was accessorised by Emma with a Jennifer Behr headband and red pumps by Louboutin.

Emma Roberts in Valentino - David Yurman Flagship Store Opening

For the opening of the David Yurman store in Beverley Hills, California, Emma Roberts wore a Valentino dress.

I thought she looked great in the velvet, embroidered dress.  It was worn with an elegant updo and Valentino rockstud boots.

I don't usually love seeing formal dresses with boots so this was an automatic no, but feet-up she looked good.

Emma Roberts in Escada - 2012 Met Ball

Emma Roberts wore an Escada gown to this year's Met Gala.

The marigold yellow dress lit up the entire tent. The dress also featured a sweetheart neckline, a flared peplum waist and a dark blue belt.

Emma doesn't do bold colours a lot so it was lovely to see her in this.

Emma Roberts in Red Valentino - 'Hick' NYC Screening

Emma Roberts attended the screening of 'Hick' in NYC with Chloe Moretz.

She chose to keep things low-key in a grey Red Valentino dress with doily hem and sleeves.

I thought she looked pretty and the graphite shade paired beautifully with her cherry red pumps.

Emma Roberts in Yves Saint Laurent - The Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere of 'Manon'

Emma Roberts went for a jumpsuit instead of a full fledged gown at The Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere of 'Manon'.

She wore the strapless black jumpsuit with sequin poppy by Yves Saint Laurent very well and completed her look with wavy locks, a clutch and satin YSL pumps.

Celebrities at Salvatore Ferragamo's Signorina Fragrance Launch

Quite a few celebs attended the launch of Salvatore Ferregamo's new scent 'Signorina', in NYC amongst a ton of pink roses. But really, how pretty are they?!

Emma Roberts shunned the printed frocks in favour of a loose white blouse tucked into cropped navy pants.  Love those bright aqua satin pumps.

Kate Mara donned a colourful, floral print dress from the Salvatore Ferregamo Spring 2012 line with opalescent heels.

AnnaSophia Robb, who will star as Carrie Bradshaw in a pilot of 'The Carrie Diaries' also wore a dress from the Spring 2012 collection. She paired it with navy blue pumps.

'Sports Illustrated' model Chrissy Teigen (follow her on Twitter by the way - hilarious)  went the palazzo pant way in her bright pants and a loose-fitting, sheer black blouse.

Piper Perabo wore a silk blouse with a keyhole and an animal-print skirt (Spring 2012) with jewel coloured pumps.

Emma Roberts In Jonathan Saunders - British Fashion Council's LONDON Show ROOMS LA Opening

Emma Roberts stepped out in a Jonathan Saunders Spring 2012 top & a black maxi skirt for the British Fashion Council's LONDON Show ROOMS LA Opening Cocktail Party on Monday night.

I thought that this long-sleeved, embroidered top & the floor-length skirt were an unusual yet interesting choice from the actress as she tends to prefer pretty dresses usually.

She kept the look very simple, opting to wear her hair in a tousled fashion and carrying a Swarovski clutch.

Emma Roberts In Topshop - 2012 Sundance Film Festival Festival

Emma Roberts wore a Topshop dress for the premiere dinner of her movie 'Celeste and Jesse Forever' at the Sundance Film Festival.

The full-sleeved, body hugging floral dress is a nice change for Emma who has been sporting flowy gowns recently for formal events.  She added colour via the red lipstick and completed the look with tights and boots.

Emma Roberts In Zac Posen - 2012 Instyle Golden Globes Party

Emma Roberts went for a dramatic Zac Posen Fall 2011 gown for Instyle's annual post Golden Globes party in LA.

The navy blue and black coloured mermaid gown had a high neck with cutouts and an open back.   Emma wore it with a sweeping updo, diamonds and a white clutch.

It felt theatrical for an after party though, something comfortable yet glamorous would have done the job.  She could have worn a cocktail dress from the Spring 2012 collection.  This sky blue, off-shoulder dress would have been perfect (with the bright lip).

Emma Roberts In Maria Lucia Hohan - 2011 CNN Heroes

At the CNN Heroes event, Emma Roberts went for a Maria Lucia Hohan frock.

The strapless dress had a sweetheart neck & a pleated skirt over a nude coloured fabric.

Emma wore it with a wavy hairstyle, cat-eyes & black pumps.

I like her make-up, but some jewellery or coloured heels could have made the look interesting.

Rebecca Taylor Robertson Boulevard Store Opening

Rebecca Taylor opened a new store on Robertson Boulevard, LA.  The opening was attended by many a celebrities, wearing the label's designs of course.

Busy Philipps chose a cutout, floral blouse, pairing it with a Rebecca Taylor Resort 2012 skirt which unfortunately does her figure no favours; the necklace also felt out of sync.

Rashida Jones went for a navy all-in-one, sprucing it up with layered gold chains, kooky specs, a snakeskin clutch & black booties.  I love this quirky look on her.

Kristen Bell opted for a laid-back look: layering a pink sweater over a light tank (which was unfortunately, creased), skinny jeans & sparkly pumps.

Emma Roberts' outfit overwhelmed her petite frame - that jacket should have been left at home.

Emma Roberts In Asos - GQ Men Of The Year Party

Emma Roberts donned a red sheath with a scoop neckline & cap sleeves by Asos for the GQ event.

While it looks very elegant, it isn't exactly a GQ Magazine-appropriate dress and unecessarily ages her.

I wish she'd worn something interesting.

Newly cut locks, black pumps (snooze) & a black clutch finished her look.

Emma Roberts In Versace For H&M

Emma Roberts attended the launch of the Versace For H&M collection in NYC wearing a floral bustier top & pants from the collection.

I'm pleased to see Emma wear something youthful and colourful for once!

And she isn't wearing black pumps like always, but these gorgeous electric blue Jimmy Choo sandals!

Kohl-rimmed eyes and tumbling waves completed her brilliant look.

Fashion Roundup

At the premiere of 'Margin Call', Demi Moore wore a taffeta silk printed dress by Zac Posen; her hair was left straight and down and she wore Brian Atwood pumps.  The dress looked great on her.

Zoe Saldana was at a Motorola do, in a cool outfit consisting of black separates by Barbara BuiSo effortless!

Elizabeth Olsen was spotted in a layered blue ensemble (Preen Fall 2011) at a film festival.  I love her multi-print skirt & the patent grey booties but the high collared blue top, worn with the busy necklace isn't working at all.

Emma Roberts went the 60's glitzy way at a Swarovski event - the burnt orange Miu Miu minidress was paired with black tights, Miu Miu platform sandals, sparkly earrings and a messy ponytail by the actress.

Olivia Palermo attended a store opening in Italy in a mix & match outfit: a printed blue Tibi top, tucked into a floaty sheer skirt, topping it with a fur gilet & finishing off with lace-up heels.

Camilla Belle wowed in Salvatore Ferregamo at an event for the label. I love the silver flapper-inspired dress which Camilla wore with cap-toe pumps, and a matching minaudiere.

Jennifer Hudson looked fabulous in a form-fitting Elie Tahari ensemble.  The singer/actress wore the digital print top & tweed pencil skirt at a NYC dinner.

Olivia Wilde attended the LA event, honoring the CFDA Fashion Fund finalists in a paisley-print pink dress, topping it with a crimson Schumacher coat and adding contrasting electric blue heels & clutch to the look.

Katie Holmes attended a Marie Claire party, wearing a draped, navy Carven dress with black tights & Mary Janes.  She kept her hair simple (& glossy!) and wore diamond studs.  But I wish she'd worn a statement necklace with the dress, it would have taken her look to the next level!

Evan Rachel Wood disappointed once again, wearing a dull black Emilio Pucci dress & jacket to the London premiere of 'Ides of March'.  She tried adding colour via the satin pumps & red lips but I just hate the dress.

The adorable Dianna Agron was also at the CFDA do, wearing a plunge neck Libertine dress with wavy hair & pointy black pumps.  Only Dianna could wear such a low-cut dress and still look cute!

Whitney Port attended the Global Fashion Awards, in an azure coloured silk Matthew Williamson gown.  She matched the embellished details of the dress with dangly earrings & wore her hair in a top-knot.

Fashion Roundup

It's been quite the week, fashion wise!

At the premiere of the comedy, "The Change Up", Sandra Bullock turned up in a black Lanvin jumpsuit, paired with simple Sergio Rossis. I like the simple look and she looks gorgeous.

Olivia Wilde, who has a part in the movie went monochromatic in a structured, sharp-shouldered Antonio Berardi sheath, opting to wear it with satin Brian Atwoods. The hairstyle is a little off but overall, Olivia carries this look well.

On a talk show appearance, Katie Holmes went for red leather bottoms, wearing them with a crochet knit sweater by Madewell - it's a break from pretty dresses and I admire Katie for always changing it up.

Angelina Jolie wore a beautiful, rust coloured Elie Saab dress at the Sarajevo Film Festival and looked radiant to top it!

I adored Dianna Agron's head-to-toe black look (yes, despite it being all black). Her snazzy hair, red lips and the happy smile elevated this look and she ended up looking very stylish.

Lea Michele worked a light summery look in her printed Valentino frock, which she wore with the predictable nude peeptoes.

Jessica Alba wore a celestial print dress from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall collection - the maxi dress is a great look on her as always but the hairstyle I do not like.

Model/actress Joy Bryant was seen at an NBC event in some tribal printed shorts from Madewell, which she wore with a white vest top, black blazer and silver necklace - the red bag added a pop of colour to her ensemble.

Emma Roberts surprised me in this long white dress - I think I would have preferred a knee-length on it but as it is, it looks lovely.

Mila Kunis was seen in London wearing a navy polka-dot Oscar de la Renta dress, with pale Mary-Janes and an indigo Chanel clutch - something about this look reminds me of Kate Middleton and that can't ever be a bad thing, right?

Miu Miu Mates

Spotted: Camilla Belle, Diane Kruger, Emma Roberts and Ashley Tisdale, at a Miu Miu event last night.

All the stars wore the label in some form, but stuck to subtle summer palettes and designs.

Camilla wore a batwing-sleeved white dress and sparkly pumps, all by Miu Miu; I'm disliking the shoes quite a bit - simpler sandal would have looked better.

Diane looked flawless head-to-toe. I'm especially loving the retro hair, she's kept it free-flowing instead of a stiff style.

Ever the fashionista, Emma Roberts dazzled in a lamé gold shift by Miu Miu, which she paired with Prada platforms (a favourite of Alexa Chung).

A newly blonde-again Ashley Tisdale kept things low key in a pretty Asos white dress, which she wore with dark purple Miu Miu platform sandals; I love her chunky gold watch!

More Potter Style

It'd be very rude of me to pass on the other stars' style at the "Harry Potter" premiere so here goes.

Bonnie Wright glowed in a blush pink Miu Miu top & silk satin skirt. She looks so pretty, I'm going to overlook the inevitabley crinkled skirt.

Clemence Poesy had her ballerina moment in a flouncy white Nina Ricci white dress which she wore with black peeptoes; so elegant!

J. K. Rowling's floral Oscar de la Renta gown was the picture of elegant English summer style.

Helena Bonham Carter brought kook with her bottle-green silk gown and the floral blossoms perched on her, quite precociously actually. There's no denying it, the lady has individuality.

Emma Roberts attended the after party, wearing a a ruched MaxMara dress with Sergio Rossi peeptoes - she looks great, and I actually prefer her look over Emma Watson's Elie Saab dress.

Ferregamo Fans

Spotted: Various fashionable faces at the showing of the Salvatore Ferregamo Resort Collection 2011, and all looked so very chic!

Ashley Greene's white dress was perfect for the season, but the enhanced shoulders make her look broader than she is.

Freida Pinto's printed silk top, paired with a crisp white skirt was perfect office-wear, the brown wedge sandals added a more relaxed touch to it.

Emma Roberts' velvet dress bothers me, but she just about carries it off, thanks to the hair, shoes and purely that fact that it's Emma.

Eva Mendes looked effortlessly stylish, nothing different here.
