She wore an elegant black Kaufmanfranco gown with a one shoulder.  Red lips and black sandals finished off the look.

Jennifer Hudson, who was a peformer at this year's Oscars, dazzled on the red carpet.

Instead of having a ballgown moment, Jennifer opted to wear a sleek, figure-hugging gown with full sleeves by Roberto Cavalli Couture.  The midnight blue colour and lamé design ensured she stood out from all angles.

Adding more drama to the look, Jennifer wore her hair in a straight style and finished off her look with two-tone statement earrings.

Nicole Richie & Jennifer Hudson attended Vogue Fashion's Night Out with QVC in New York City on Thursday.

Nicole donned a bright, printed blue dress from her collection for QVC with House of Harlow 1960 boots.  I like the dress, not love.  And those shoes I dislike.

I much preferred Jennifer Hudson's look.  The red dress was matched with fun Charlotte Olympia shoes and a cool hairstyle.

Jennifer Hudson brought her glamorous self to the Rainforest Fund Concert in NYC on Tuesday night where she performed too.

She chose a nude Reem Acra gown that had an embellished, strapless bodice and a free-flowing chiffon skirt.

Wavy, shiny locks, along with some sparkle from Kimberly McDonald jewelry completed her look.

Jennifer Hudson looked stunning in a Maria Lucia Hohan  gown at the 43rd annual NAACP Image Awards which recognises African American talent.

This is probably the best appearance of a Maria Lucia Hohan gown I've seen on the red carpet so far. The lavender colour is wonderful, and Jennifer styled it perfectly.

Jennifer Hudson In Gucci - 'Think Like A Man' Premiere

Jennifer Hudson wore a Gucci Resort 2012 ensemble for the Hollywood premiere of the movie 'Think Like A Man'.

The white top, tucked into a colour-block skirt had a flirty, fun feel to it and Jennifer embraced that but went OTT with the colourful accessories.  And I know it's relatively warm in LA during winter but this is too summery.

I get the bright statement necklace but that's about it.  She really should have left out the pink lips, hoop earrings, silver bracelets and those bow-topped ankle-strap heels.

Jennifer Hudson In Roberto Cavalli - amfAR Gala to Kick Off NYFW

Jennifer Hudson wore a Roberto Cavalli dress to the amfAR Gala.

She looks like a complete diva in this chiffon gown with an embellished bodice.  I like the hair and the jewelery.  But the colour of the dress is just so unattractive, it's neither brown nor grey, just something in between.

Jennifer Hudson's 'I Got This..' Book Signing Tour

Jennifer Hudson has been busy, trailblazing across the States promoting her new book called 'I Got This:  How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down'. 

At a Barnes & Noble bookstore in NYC, Jennifer paired an Azzedine Alaia bodysuit with Theysken's Theory pants and topped the look off with a cool white Haider Ackermann jacket.  The pants are bothering me:  they're way too tight on her, a flared pair would have looked chic and elongated her legs.

Then, at the WeightWatchers office in NYC, Jennifer wore a body-hugging LBD and styled it simply with a poof hairstyle, hoops and red & black cap toe pumps.

At the Good Housekeeping bash, Jennifer wore a chartreuse coloured  

Roland Mouret dress with a soft hairstyle but those shoes felt too chunky with that dress;  a simpler and sleeker black/gold sandal would have been a better choice.

Yesterday at The Grove in LA, Jennifer wore a tangerine faux-wrap dress by Balenciaga and styled it with aqua accessories and tan Lanvin sandals.  This is also a great look on her, and that colour is hot this season!

VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul Concert

Lots of divas descended to the stage for VH1's concert celebrating soul.

Jennifer Hudson went for a 60's vibe in this micro-mini, paired with thigh-high boots and lots of jewellery.

Queen Latifah was typically red-carpet elegant in a one-shoulder gown by Georges Chakra.

Mary J. Blige wore a sparkly dress from the Michael Kors Fall 2011 gown - she looked great.

Jennifer Hudson In Temperely London & Versace - Swarovski Holiday Lighting Ceremony

Jennifer Hudson helped turn the lights on at the Swarovski Elements & Rodeo Drive lighting ceremony in Beverly Hills last night.

She wore a raspberry hued, draped Temperely London dress, with tights and topped it off with a white Versace Fall 2011 coat with structured shoulders & gold buckle details.

Straight hair, red lips and black Jimmy Choo heels were the finishing touches.

While I like all the clothes, they just don't go well together - I wish she'd either left the coat out of the picture or buckled it up completely.

Jennifer Hudson In Jenny Packham - 2011 American Music Awards

Jennifer Hudson wore a Jenny Packham Fall 2011 mini for the AMAs.

The metallic, draped dress was a nice change from her uniform of figure-hugging dresses.

I liked everything about this look until I saw her feet - those sparkly, chunky Louboutins are totally ruining the effect of the dress.

Straight locks & bright pink lips were the finishing touches.

Selma Blair & Jennifer Hudson also showed up for the launch of the Versace For H&M collection in NYC last night.

I love Selma's hot pink shift, with a studded design from the line.  The actress wore it with pin-straight hair, smokey eyes and silver sandals.

Jennifer Hudson went for a more polished look - in a floaty black number by Versace which she wore with booties. 

Her hair was also straight and she wore a silver cuff.

  I'm a little underwhelmed by her effort.

At the premiere of 'Margin Call', Demi Moore wore a taffeta silk printed dress by Zac Posen; her hair was left straight and down and she wore Brian Atwood pumps.  The dress looked great on her.

Zoe Saldana was at a Motorola do, in a cool outfit consisting of black separates by Barbara Bui.  So effortless!

Elizabeth Olsen was spotted in a layered blue ensemble (Preen Fall 2011) at a film festival.  I love her multi-print skirt & the patent grey booties but the high collared blue top, worn with the busy necklace isn't working at all.

Emma Roberts went the 60's glitzy way at a Swarovski event - the burnt orange Miu Miu minidress was paired with black tights, Miu Miu platform sandals, sparkly earrings and a messy ponytail by the actress.  

Olivia Palermo attended a store opening in Italy in a mix & match outfit: a printed blue Tibi top, tucked into a floaty sheer skirt, topping it with a fur gilet & finishing off with lace-up heels.

Camilla Belle wowed in Salvatore Ferregamo at an event for the label. I love the silver flapper-inspired dress which Camilla wore with cap-toe pumps, and a matching minaudiere.

Jennifer Hudson looked fabulous in a form-fitting Elie Tahari ensemble.  The singer/actress wore the digital print top & tweed pencil skirt at a NYC dinner.


Olivia Wilde attended the LA event, honoring the CFDA Fashion Fund finalists in a paisley-print pink dress, topping it with a crimson Schumacher coat and adding contrasting electric blue heels & clutch to the look.

Katie Holmes attended a Marie Claire party, wearing a draped, navy Carven dress with black tights & Mary Janes.  She kept her hair simple (& glossy!) and wore diamond studs.  But I wish she'd worn a statement necklace with the dress, it would have taken her look to the next level!


Evan Rachel Wood disappointed once again, wearing a dull black Emilio Pucci dress & jacket to the London premiere of 'Ides of March'.  She tried adding colour via the satin pumps & red lips but I just hate the dress.

The adorable Dianna Agron was also at the CFDA do, wearing a plunge neck Libertine dress with wavy hair & pointy black pumps.  Only Dianna could wear such a low-cut dress and still look cute!


Whitney Port attended the Global Fashion Awards, in an azure coloured silk Matthew Williamson gown.  She matched the embellished details of the dress with dangly earrings & wore her hair in a top-knot.
