Elizabeth Olsen in Proenza Schouler - 'Therese' at 2013 TIFF

Elizabeth Olsen was in Toronto to attend the premiere of 'Therese'.

She wore a black and green dress from the always cool Proenza Schouler.  But as much as I like the simplicity and laid-back aura of the look, the Resort 2014 dress does nothing for Elizabeth due to it's shape.

A wavy hairstyle, glossy lips and black open toe booties finished off the look.

Elizabeth Olsen & Mary-Kate Olsen - 2013 CFDA Awards

Elizabeth Olsen joined her designer sister, Mary-Kate Olsen at the 2013 CFDA Awards.

Elizabeth wore a look by The Row.  I like the label's overall aesthetic, however, it just doesn't make sense to see something so baggy and dark on a young woman like Elizabeth. She completed her look with wavy hair and a clutch by The Row.

Mary-Kate Olsen wore her signature loose-fit dress, this one by the talented Japanese designer Issey Miyake.  She added some much needed injection of colour via the long earrings.  Out of the two, MK wins in my eyes.

Elizabeth Olsen in Antonio Berardi - Swarovski Celebration Of Crystal And Art

Elizabeth Olsen attended the Swarovski Celebration Of Crystal And Art a couple of days ago.

The young actress was seen at the New York City event in an Antonio Berardi Resort 2013 dress.  It featured a gun-metal top and block stripes in black, white and a sky blue.

I thought she looked fresh and season appropriate in the dress.  A darker hair colour, dark lips and black Carven pumps made the look moodier, along with a purse by The Row.

Elizabeth Olsen in Valentino - 2012 Grand Chefs Dinner

Elizabeth Olsen attended the Grand Chefs Dinner at Gotham Hall in NYC last night in a Valentino Fall 2012 gown.

I'm thankful that she did not wear the black version from the runway but instead opted for the vivid red hue.

She carried a black bag from The Row with the ruffled gown which was a mismatch - a dainty clutch would have been a better idea.

Elizabeth Olsen In The Row - 'Today' Show Appearance

I love me a good pant-suit.

Elizabeth Olsen gave us just that as she made her way to appear on the 'Today' show in NYC on Thursday morning.

The actress, who is promoting her new movie 'Silent House' wore a dark terracotta, velvet pant-suit from the The Row's Pre-Fall 2012 collection.  I love the sharp tailoring and her crisp white button-down.

Elizabeth kept her hair down, wore stylish Elizabeth & James sunglasses, Jimmy Choo snakeskin print heels and carried a black tote.

Elizabeth Olsen In Balmain - 'Silent House' NYC Premiere

Elizabeth Olsen attended the NYC premiere of her new thriller 'Silent House' yesterday.

She wore a black, full-sleeved matte jersey maxi, topped with a gold embellished jacket - all from the Balmain Spring 2012 collection.

 While I like the dress and the jacket, I don't like them together as they create a look that's once again, aging on the young actress.  I would have loved to see her pair this flowing yet structured jacket with some sleek pants instead. 

She accessorised with a pale blue clutch by The Row, and Cesare Paciotti heels.

 I feel like Elizabeth is still finding her ground, fashion-wise and looks like she's getting inspired by her older twin sisters.  I could see Ashley pulling off this look with ease, but it doesn't work on Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Olsen In The Row & Chanel - Atlantic Theater Company’s Spring Gala

Elizabeth Olsen was clad in a head to toe navy ensemble at the Atlantic Theatre Company’s Spring Gala at Chelsea Piers in NYC.

The actress wore a dress by The Row and topped it with a heavily embellished Chanel blazer; she wore matching Chanel heels too.

The colours are just so dull and she could have taken that jacket and worn it in a more interesting (read: youthful) manner.  Also, doesn't it seem too big on her? Look at where the sleeves end.

Elizabeth Olsen In Christian Dior - Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Elizabeth Olsen broke her continous good run by wearing this Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

The satin T-shirt part of the dress that's bothering me as it's unflattering and matronly.  And the tiered skirt looks a tad frumpy too.

She wore her hair in signature waves, and carried a bag by The Row.

Celebs at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

I have to say, I wasn't a big fan of any of the clothes at this pre-Oscar party. But here goes.

 Rose Byrne wore a column, colour-block dress.  Her bob really breathes interest into all of her looks. Clever.

Diane Kruger in a satin LBD - not loving the way it's sitting on her bust though, looks very uncomfortable.

Olga Kurylenko looked pretty good in her sparkly dress and shoes.

Freida Pinto wore a strapless LWD but her footwear is, for lack of better word, tragic.

Lily Collins wore a ruffled white skirt and black top with a leather jacket.  Lily suffers from the black pump syndrome, sadly.

Elizabeth Olsen attempted to do granny-chic but that blue coat is so unflattering.

Ginnifer Goodwin paired a white blouse with some very ill-fitting black shorts. The pink clutch, red lips, headband, shiny sandals... it's all a bit too much.

Rachel Bilson wore a dove grey dress with floral embroidery but ruined the look by wearing that suede jacket.  Just the bag and heels were enough.

It was an Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2012 dress for Elizabeth Olsen at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards.

The pale, silvery-grey dress with an embellished overlay was beautiful on the young actress and exuded elegance and sophistication.

Elizabeth kept things fairly simple, going for wavy locks, pink lips, a matching Edie Parker clutch & sparkly pumps.

Elizabeth Olsen attended the Independent Spirit Awards luncheon, held in LA in a shirtdress & blazer from the Chloé Spring 2012 collection.

 She wore the look with a loos side bun, layered necklaces, a handbag from The Row and nude pointy pumps.

 It amazes me how well Elizabeth transitions from a Proenza Schouler look from the night before (click here) to this airy, light ensemble.

Elizabeth Olsen is on a roll.

She wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 dress for the pre-Golden Globes party hosted by W Magazine.

Love the dress.  

The black bodice, and large print floral skirt look brilliant together.  I just have one gripe though:  the keyhole detail looks neat on the runway, but a little shapeless, and risky on Elizabeth.

She wore her hair in a loose side plait, gold earrings, pink lip colour, a metallic blue Edith Parker clutch and Carven pumps completed her look.

Elizabeth Olsen In Emilio Pucci - 2012 Critics' Choice Movie Awards

Elizabeth Olsen was a knock-out at the CCMAs in this  

Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 dress.

The yellow & white beaded mini has a square neckline & full sleeves.   

I think I'm in love with this dress.

Elizabeth wore it just perfectly, with tousled hair, neutral make-up and cream coloured ankle-straps from the runway.  I'm so thankful she didn't do the smokey-eye, statement jewelery thing as the dress is just gorgeous.

Kate Middleton made waves by opting for a printed Zara frock, while attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.  Even though the jacket, tights, pumps, simple hair are all very signature K.Middleton, the hemline has gone up by a few inches than usual!

Jessica Chastain wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 dress at the Marrakech Film Festival.  The colour is pretty on her but the shiny, slightly creased material is unsightly.

Dianna Agron attended the Trevor Live event in a halter dress with an embellished neck.  A pompadour hairstyle added interest to her look but otherwise her black accessories felt uninspiring.

Olivia Palermo wore a sequined Marchesa dress with three-quarter sleeves to the Valentino Garavani digital museum opening.  As usual, her accessories worked their magic:  the Valentino heels are lovely as is the pink clutch.

Elizabeth Olsen looked swish in NYC, in a crisp, white button down tucked into high-waisted grey trousers.  A blowout, shades & leather pumps completed her city look.

Felicity Jones attended a party by Bulgari, in a high-neck blouse paired with a tough looking leather skirt.  Such a simple look but done so well.

Elizabeth Olsen took to the red carpet for the premiere of Steven Spielberg's 'War Horse'.

The young actress opted for a black dress by The Row.

I love the satin Manolo Blahnik pumps and her hair but the dress is too sombre, and slightly shapeless.

Elizabeth Olsen In Valentino - IFP's Gotham Independent Awards

Elizabeth Olsen, who was also nominated for the Best Breakthrough Actor award wore a Valentino Resort 2012 dress.

The scoop neck gown with silver embroidery and layers of satin & gauze was beautiful on the actress.

Elizabeth wore her hair in a soft, wavy updo, kept her make-up neutral and carried a pink satin clutch.

I think this is the first time that she has really impressed me!

Elizabeth Olsen too wore a Chanel dress for the MoMa Film Benefit.

The black dress with a red ribbon, an asymmetrical hemline & red lining is from the Chanel Fall 2009 Couture collection.

I'm glad Elizabeth went for a more polished hairstyle, as this dress needed it.

She finished off the evening look with a large cocktail ring, a clutch, a black watch (odd choice) and simple black pumps.

At the premiere of 'Margin Call', Demi Moore wore a taffeta silk printed dress by Zac Posen; her hair was left straight and down and she wore Brian Atwood pumps.  The dress looked great on her.

Zoe Saldana was at a Motorola do, in a cool outfit consisting of black separates by Barbara Bui.  So effortless!

Elizabeth Olsen was spotted in a layered blue ensemble (Preen Fall 2011) at a film festival.  I love her multi-print skirt & the patent grey booties but the high collared blue top, worn with the busy necklace isn't working at all.

Emma Roberts went the 60's glitzy way at a Swarovski event - the burnt orange Miu Miu minidress was paired with black tights, Miu Miu platform sandals, sparkly earrings and a messy ponytail by the actress.  

Olivia Palermo attended a store opening in Italy in a mix & match outfit: a printed blue Tibi top, tucked into a floaty sheer skirt, topping it with a fur gilet & finishing off with lace-up heels.

Camilla Belle wowed in Salvatore Ferregamo at an event for the label. I love the silver flapper-inspired dress which Camilla wore with cap-toe pumps, and a matching minaudiere.

Jennifer Hudson looked fabulous in a form-fitting Elie Tahari ensemble.  The singer/actress wore the digital print top & tweed pencil skirt at a NYC dinner.


Olivia Wilde attended the LA event, honoring the CFDA Fashion Fund finalists in a paisley-print pink dress, topping it with a crimson Schumacher coat and adding contrasting electric blue heels & clutch to the look.

Katie Holmes attended a Marie Claire party, wearing a draped, navy Carven dress with black tights & Mary Janes.  She kept her hair simple (& glossy!) and wore diamond studs.  But I wish she'd worn a statement necklace with the dress, it would have taken her look to the next level!


Evan Rachel Wood disappointed once again, wearing a dull black Emilio Pucci dress & jacket to the London premiere of 'Ides of March'.  She tried adding colour via the satin pumps & red lips but I just hate the dress.

The adorable Dianna Agron was also at the CFDA do, wearing a plunge neck Libertine dress with wavy hair & pointy black pumps.  Only Dianna could wear such a low-cut dress and still look cute!


Whitney Port attended the Global Fashion Awards, in an azure coloured silk Matthew Williamson gown.  She matched the embellished details of the dress with dangly earrings & wore her hair in a top-knot.

Elizabeth Olsen in Chanel

At the London premiere of 'Martha Marcy May Marlene', Elizabeth Olsen chose a Chanel Haute Couture outfit.

The pale pink, shimmery top was paired with a layered tutu skirt by Elizabeth, and doesn't work at all unfortunately.

It's just a haphzard mix and the matching satin heels are only adding to the woes.

Elizabeth should have at least gone all out with the ballerina look and put her hair up in a bun... not that that would've salvaged this look but it's a thought.

Elle's Women in Hollywood Tribute

A lot of A-Listers were in attendance last night at Elle Magazine's 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute event.

Jennifer Aniston worked it, in a plunge-neck, short, full-sleeved glitzy number by Kaufman Franco.  She wore matching minimalist Balenciaga heels & carried a Ferregamo clutch.

Reese Witherspoon looked cheery, in a black suit by Bocanegra with a lace blouse underneath;  black peeptoes by Louboutin and bold turquoise earrings lifted the look.

Freida Pinto wore a white, calf-length Calvin Klein dress, with a statement neck piece and colourful Marni heels.  Love the necklace, but maybe she should have worn minimalist sandals in silver/gold.

Evan Rachel Wood's black dress by Alessandra Rich was actually quite chic, but something about her look doesn't sit right with me.

Nicole Richie's one-shoulder, floral applique Douglas Hannant dress had a beautiful design but the dull brown of the dress is what's making this look a 'not quite'.  A chic updo, black earrings, silver clutch and black peeptoes completed her look.

Rachel Zoe looked great in her glamourous (yet boho as always) black dress, jazzing it up with gold earrings, tons of eyeliner, a bold cocktail ring & clutch.

   

 The lovely Jayma Mays was all dressed up in a vibrant blue Malandrino dress with a one-shoulder & pleated detail.  I love how Jayma always wears different silhouettes & colours.

Katherine Heigl showed up in a simple LBD by Amanda Wakeley with an embellished key-hole neckline & waist.  I don't know why Katherine always looks older than she is, maybe it's that awful hairstyle... but her shoes aren't pretty either.

Naomi Watts also wore Calvin Klein - the peach coloured silk dress from the Spring Collection completely blends in with her skin tone!  And boring old nude shoes are just that... boring.

Camilla Alves went a different route, channeling a retro, vintage vibe in her polka-dot frock with cap sleeves, dark blue platforms and a beaded bag (which does seem out of place).  Straight hair stopped the look from being costume-y and the red lips go perfectly with her dress.

Amber Heard was in a powder pink sheath which she wore with gun-metal sandals and gothic make up.  Not on board with this mish-mash of a look.

Jenna Tatum wore a gold mini from Edition by Georges Chakra with an interesting neckline but I wish she'd worn some different heels instead of those nude peeptoes.

  Elizabeth Olsen wore a long silver gown by Calvin Klein with straight hair, smoky eyes and chain-link bracelets.  The gown doesn't have a great fit and isn't youthful at all but her face looks pretty!

Chloe Moretz too wore Calvin Klein - the all white dress looks more like a stiff, sleeveless anorak and the hairstyle is not working.
