Eva Longoria in Dana Budeanu - 2012 BET Black Girls Rock Event

Eva Longoria attended the 2012 BET Black Girls Rock event in New York City at the weekend.

She wore a little white dress by the designer Dana Budeanu.  I expected to see her in Marchesa, giving her successful history with the label but she did look good.

The texture on the dress is very fall, but I don't like the detail on the cap sleeves.  A more relaxed hairstyle would have been a better choice too.

Eva completed the look with red lips and nude accessories (YSL clutch and Louboutins).

Noomi Rapace in Valentino - 'Passion' Premiere at 2012 TIFF

Noomi Rapace walked the red carpet for the premiere of 'Passion' at the 2012 TIFF.

The Swedish actress wore a bright green lace covered Valentino Resort 2013 dress.

This dress with the back cut out is all about the back so I wish Noomi had kept the front simpler and sleeker.  The messy hair and red lips don't go with this dress at all.

She completed the look with YSL pumps and Bulgari jewels.

Jennifer Garner - 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green' Promotions

Jennifer Garner was in New York City last week for the purpose of promoting 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green' on various talk shows.  The one thing that remained constant were her YSL heels.

She first made an appearance on 'David Letterman' wearing a chic navy and black Yves Saint Laurent dress with sandals by YSL too.

Then she changed into a skirt and blouse by No.7 - I liked this ensemble more as we don't see Jennifer in separates a lot.

The actress was seen outside the CBS Studios in a Jason Wu dress that had an embroidered top and a tulip skirt.   The colours looked lovely on her.

But my favourite was her 'Jimmy Fallon' dress - the tomato red Versace dress was a world away from her usual casual style, she looked glamorous.

Jessica Chastain in Yves Saint Laurent - 'Lawless' NYC Screening

Jessica Chastain made one of her rare red carpet appearances for the Cinema Society and Yves Saint Laurent hosted screening of her movie 'Lawless'.

Since Jessica is the new face of the label, it made sense for her to wear something by Yves Saint Laurent, even if it is vintage.

The LBD featured a loose fitting top and a fitted skirt with an asymmetric hem, ruffles and a bow.  In words all this seems like a lot but it works perfectly in practice because Jessica kept her hair, make-up and accessories very simple.

Her hair was left in curls and she sported a fuschia lip colour too, along with a colourful bracelet by Tom Binns and YSL heels.

Jessica Chastain in Yves Saint Laurent - 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted' NYC Premiere

Jessica Chastain wore a vintage Yves Saint Laurent dress to the NYC premiere of 'Madagascar 3'.

The strapless, navy hued dress was rather plain so I was happy to see Jessica wearing it with some bold accessories.  A wide metallic belt and gold cuff matched the gold clip in her faux-bob and black heels completed the look.

Jessica's style seems to be evolving, which is a positive sign.

Sarah Jessica Parker in L'Wren Scott - Forget Me Not Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Forget Me Not Gala to support the Alzheimer's Association on Monday in New York City.

She wore a navy L'Wren Scott sheath, topping it with a matching velvet YSL jacket.  Wavy tresses and black Manolo Blahniks completed her look.

Considering the mood of the event, this dark look was suitable.

Kelly Osbourne attended the anniversary celebration of a home decor store in LA on Thursday night.

The 'Fashion Police' host was decidedly bold in a purple, printed Mary Katrantzou dress that she wore with her purple hair and a purple lip colour.

It definitely was an overdose of one colour but thankfully she wore black peeptoes (YSL).

Jennifer Lawrence in Victoria Beckham - 'El Hormiguero' Appearance

Jennifer Lawrence made a (kind of random) appearance on a Spanish television show on Thursday.

'The Hunger Games' actress wore a very simple Victoria Beckham dress that had black sleeves and button lining.


It's a good dress, I mean, the cut and the fit are perfect but it's so very dull.  She really had an opportunity here to wear something fresh, youthful so this was disappointing.  Those YSL heels are nice though.

It was a starry night at The Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere of 'Manon' in NYC last night.

Emmy Rossum looked beautiful in a strapless magenta Yves Saint Laurent Edition Soir 12 gown with pleats and a leg split.

She styled the look perfectly too; I love the slick low bun with that embellished choker and the combination of her lip colour with the shade of the dress.  I also love that she didn't wear boring pumps but opted for sandals instead.

Emma Roberts went for a jumpsuit instead of a full fledged gown at The Metropolitan Opera Gala Premiere of 'Manon'.

She wore the strapless black jumpsuit with sequin poppy by Yves Saint Laurent very well and completed her look with wavy locks, a clutch and satin YSL pumps.

As usual, Amber knocked it out of the park in this backless silk gown.  Colour was added via red lips and nails.

I thought that 15 year olds were too young to be interested in opera, but apparently not.

Chloe Moretz attended the premiere of 'Manon' by Jules Massenet in a Yves Saint Laurent dress.

The navy coloured, strapless gown with a bow bodice, tiers and an asymmetrical hem was great on the young actress who wore it with a choker.  I also like that she pulled her hair back into a ponytail.

She stepped out in a fresh-off-the-runway Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2012 gown at the premiere of the the Metropolitan Opera 'Manon'.

January looked almost majestic in this black gown with a draped neck with embellishment on the bodice and a leg split.

Megan Fox In Elie Saab - 'Friends with Kids' NYC Screening

Megan Fox wore an Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture dress to the NYC screening of her new comedy, 'Friends with Kids'.

Since we're so used to seeing her in figure-hugging (and baring) clothes, it was a pleasant surprise to see Megan in this sweet, beaded chiffon frock.

She wore it with wavy hair, strong eye-brows, pink lips and matching YSL pumps which I'm actually not hating on this occasion.

Salma Hayek & Kristen Stewart attended the Balenciaga Fall 2012 showing in Paris.

Salma looked like a complete diva in her rust coloured, relaxed-fit mini with three-quarter sleeves.  

She really worked the whole movie-star look with glossy, straight tresses, white hoop earrings, cat-eye sunglasses, a white Balenciaga envelope clutch & matching YSL pumps.  She's also wearing pantyhose but it's hardly visible - bravo.

Kristen Stewart, who is the face of Balenciaga's upcoming perfume also showed up for the Fall presentation.  

The actress was cool and comfortable in a printed silk top and leather leggings which she paired with open-toe boots and a collar-less jacket.

Salma Hayek wore a custom Yves Saint Laurent to the Oscar After-Party thrown by Vanity Fair.

One word: stunning. 

The colour of the silk mousseline dress is simply stunning on her, and I love that she wore her hair in a tousled fishtail braid.  The soft, off-shoulder detail of the dress works perfectly with her accessories, make-up and hair.

The white dress with a slip covered by lace was a good choice on Vanessa and her styling didn't disappoint either.  

Centre parted curly hair, a black coat accented with a floral piece, a chain-strap Chanel bag & caramel YSL platform pumps completed her look.
