Mia Wasikowska in Christian Dior - 'Only Lovers Left Alive' at 2013 TIFF

The Toronto International Film Festival commenced last week.

On day one, Mia Wasikowska premiered her new movie, titled, 'Only Lovers Left Alive' with her co-stars Tom Hiddleston & Anton Yelchin.

Mia wore a simple red Dior gown, with no accessories and kept the hair and make-up simple as always.

One shouldn't hope in Mia's case.

Mia Wasikowska in J. Mendel - Cannes Film Festival Day 4

For the premiere of 'Lawless' on the fourth day of the ongoing Cannes FIlm Festival, Mia Wasikowska, who stars in the movie wore a J. Mendel Fall 2012 gown.

The actress impressed me for the first time, in this rich hued dress with flutter sleeves and a plunging neckline.

I think it might be her intricate hairstyle, jewels and make-up.  Normally Mia goes wquite plain with her red carpet looks and disappoints me.

Mia Wasikowska in Prada - 'Lawless' Cannes Photocall

Mia Wasikowska joined her co-star Jessica Chastain for the photocall of their action movie 'Lawless' on the fourth day of the Cannes Film Festival.

Mia was loyal to Prada in this pink print dress with cap sleeves.  The playful and colourful dress is nice for the photocall and on this occasion, the plain hair works.  She completed her look with pink Prada slingback heels.

Mia Wasikowska in Prada - 2012 Met Ball

Mia Waiskowska was one of the many ladies wearing Prada at the 2012 Met Gala.

The maroon dress with an embellished black collar, short sleeves and an embellished waist band suited Mia perfectly.

The Miu Miu spring campaign model wore the gown with a retro hairstyle and a dark, glossy maroon lip colour.  This may have been Mia's boldest look to date.

Mia Wasikowska In Antonio Berardi - Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Mia Wasikowska wore an Antonio Berardi Fall 2012 gown to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The grey and black dress is visually interesting, with the wave of embellishments and pleating near the waist.  

 But as always, Mia is giving us no personality.  She really needs a lesson in red carpet posing.

Mia Wasikowska In Miu Miu - 2012 AACTA Awards

Mia Wasikowska attended the 2012 AACTA Awards in Sydney wearing a Miu Miu Spring 2012 dress.  This is hardly surprising seeing that she's the face of their Spring campaign (click here).

Mia's dusky rose satin dress with a shirred bodice and white straps is kind of unflattering on her and washes her out.  She did switch up the make-up by adding red lipstick but the stiff hairstyle isn't helping matters. Her shoes are also boring as always.

Just because you're the face of the brand doesn't mean you should wear anything that they make.

Mia Wasikowska In Elie Saab - 'Albert Nobbs' Screening

Mia Wasikowska bored me to death once more, at the premiere of her new movie, 'Albert Nobbs'.

The Australian actress wore a black Elie Saab Fall 2010 dress for the event.  I have no problems with the dress, it has a nice silhouette and great details, like the high neck and ruching.

But Mia never fully does her clothes justice, thanks to the always bland hair & make-up and shoes.

Mia Wasikowska In Rodarte - 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Mia Wasikowska wore a Rodarte Spring 2012 dress for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards.

The stunningly purple, pleated satin dress was a big disappointment on her, because her hair, her make-up, shoes, accessories felt so uninspired & insipid!  

Hardly appropriate for such a major fashion event.

Mia Wasikowska In Prada

Aussie actress, Mia Wasikowska wore a deep red, satin Prada frock at the 2011 AFI Film Fest.

The dress itself is lovely but I wish Mia had put in some effort in the hair/make-up department or/and the accessories department.

As it is, it's all very plain and boring.  This dress needed a statement necklace or some kick-ass heels.

Kim Kardashian In Roland Mouret

At the AOL/Huffington Post Game Changers awards in NYC, Kim Kardashian wore a Roland Mouret dress.

The deep red gown with an origami fold neckline and mermaid hem looked amazing on Kim and accentuated her hourglass figure.

I like how she wore her tresses in a fishtail braid rather than the usual tousled, or sleek ponytail styles she favours.  Love the gold earrings and the Judith Leiber clutch.

Australian actress Mia Wasikowska wore the same dress at the Cannes Film Festival back in May but I prefer the dress on Kim.  (Click here to see Mia)
