The younger Fanning sister also wore Rodarte to the 2013 Met Ball.

15year old Elle Fanning looked lovely in the Fall 2013 dress featuring a white bodice and a tie-dye print skirt.  I'm sure anyone above the age of around 18 would have looked silly wearing this to a red carpet event, but Elle has age on her side.

She pinned back her blonde hair and wore costum-ish make-up which was all again, age-appropriate.

Dakota Fanning in Rodarte - 2013 Met Ball

Dakota Fanning wore Rodarte on the red carpet at the 2013 Met Ball.

The sleek black gown with a leg slit signals a change in her style, which used to be all about sweet, tulle dresses in nude/pastel shades.

A straight but messy hairstyle and winged eyeliner finished completed the beauty part, and in terms of accessories, she wore Van Cleef & Arpels jewels, carried a Roger Vivier clutch and wore H&M Coscious Red Carpet Collection heels.

Kerry Washington in Rodarte - 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Kerry Washington brought Rodarte to the table at the SAG Awards.

The versatile 'Django Unchained' actress was simply beautiful in the white custom-made gown which boasted a structured bodice with silver embellishments and a softer skirt.

An elegant ponytail kept her hair off the shoulders so we could see the bodice details.  Fred Leighton jewelry and Judith Leiber clutch finished off her look.

Kirsten Dunst in Rodarte - 2012 Met Ball

When I think of Kirsten Dunst and Rodarte, this isn't what I imagine.

Then again, it wasn't totally shocking when I think of Kirsten's Met Gala history.  Last night she wore this skirt-suit which made her step back into the 90s and look a lot older than she is.

I loved her hair though.

Katie Holmes In Lanvin - The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo‘s 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon

Katie Holmes and her stylist (and design partner) Jeanne Yang attended The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo‘s 25 Most Powerful Stylists Luncheon in West Hollywood yesterday.

Katie wore a Lanvin Fall 2008 dress for the occasion that had a silk top and a fitted pencil skirt with a flared hem. The dress is dull as is the styling, both which I can forgive.

The two-tone Rodarte T-bar shoes though, I cannot overlook.  They epically ruin this look for Katie.

Kirsten Dunst In Rodarte - Rodarte Dinner

Kirsten Dunst was at hand to help celebrate Rodarte at a dinner for the label, at the Chateau Marmont in LA.

The actress, and Rodarte loyalist wore a pair of pants from the Spring 2012 line with a crisp white shirt & a buttercup yellow blazer.

Some might say this is an overload of the sunny shade but I love that she wore this in the middle of winter (even if it's not as cold in LA as other places).  She completed her look with gold earrings and carried a black clutch.

Elle Fanning looked adorable in the Rodarte Spring 2012 dress, worn with side parted hair & dark blue heels.

I think Elle is at an age where she can get away with wearing flouncy, whimsical dresses like this one without it seeming strange.  She herself said in an interview once - "I'd rather look like a 2 year old than a 21 year old".  Pretty sound decision from the 13 year old actress.

Elle Fanning wore a Rodarte Spring 2012 dress to the CCMAs.

The pale mint dress with sunflowers is whimsical &  looks like it was made for Elle.  She wore it really well, with natural hair & make-up.

Rodarte's Van Gogh inspired collection hasn't been seen on the red carpet a lot, except appearances from Kirsten Dunst (click here) & Mia Wasikowska (click here).

Rooney Mara went for a Rodarte Fall 2011 dress at the Madrid premiere of  'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.

Like most of her promotional tour outfits, this too was rather muted but looked pretty great on Rooney.

The pale silk, dotted gown had a halter neck and a mini train.

Rooney kept her hair sleek like always and wore a pale pink lip colour.

Rooney Mara In Rodarte for Opening Ceremony - 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' Appearance

Rooney Mara went for a Rodarte for Opening Ceremony dress, for an appearance on a TV talk show.

The off-shoulder black dress had a full skirt and a white high neck top underneath.

Love this edgy yet demure dress on Rooney, which she wore with sideswept bangs and Prada ankle-straps.

Mia Wasikowska In Rodarte - 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Mia Wasikowska wore a Rodarte Spring 2012 dress for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards.

The stunningly purple, pleated satin dress was a big disappointment on her, because her hair, her make-up, shoes, accessories felt so uninspired & insipid!  

Hardly appropriate for such a major fashion event.

Kirsten Dunst In Rodarte - 2011 MOCA Gala

Kirsten Dunst went back to her favourite label - Rodarte, for the annual Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Gala, held in LA.

The blue shades are simply stunning on this strapless, chiffon gown with embroidered tiers.  

However, it makes Kirsten's hips look wide, which is a shame as her make-up is perfect.  Perfection.

I love the neat, retro hairstyle, and the super-cute diamond earrings too.

No Meloncholia Here

Spotted: Kirsten Dunst looking fabulous at the photocall and premiere of her new movie, "Meloncholia".

At the photocall, she wore a canary yellow drapey chiffon dress by Chloé with nude heels - the red lipstick really makes this look stand out.

It was a Rodarte gown for her on the red carpet and I love the whole look, the diamond earrings literally make the look sparkle and I like the shape of the gown too.

Fashion Roundup

At the Vivienne Westwood store launch held in LA, Heidi Klum wore a black dress from the designer's Anglomania collection with no jewelery and slicked back hair - I like.

Zoe Saldana too wore a shorter silver dress from the line, and paired it with colourful heels in true Saldana fashion!

At the premieres/screenings of her new movie, "Source Code" in which she stars with Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan wore two different dresses. First, a fitted Little White Dress from Versace with pointy nude kitten heels. I like the clean look but wish her hair didn't look so ratty. This look called for a an updo to show off the neckline.

She nailed the second look though, in a wacky yet gorgeous (LOVE the colour) Roksanda Illicinic dress, which she wore with black criss-coss sky-high sandals.

Cameron Diaz looked pretty great at a photocall for her upcoming movie, "Bad Teacher" at CinemaCon. She donned a black Alexander McQueen mini, topping it with a neutral Elizabeth & James blazer and adding a belt by McQueen too. She wore Lanvin heels.

Eva Longoria, at the International Film Festival, held in Mexico wore a pantsuit, with a Julien McDonald blazer and black peeptoes. It's a nice, sharp look but I'm not a big fan of the jacket - the shoulder pads are a bit too much.

Nicky Hilton, spotted at an event in LA wore a scalloped lace white mini with patent nude heels - flawless.

Vanessa Hudgens landed in the worst dressed of the week for me, in this snakeskin monstrosity of an outfit. Nothing about this look works, the dress, the headpiece, not even the seemingly safe black heels!

At the premiere of her first movie, "Soul Surfer", Carrie Underwood wore a nude & black Zuhair Murad dress. It's a little too close to the tone of her skin and the big flower at her hip is so distracting!

Keira Knightley, at the Empire Awards in London wore a sparkly nude dress by Rodarte. I'm not liking this dress much, the design's boring and the way she's done her hair isn't working. Neither are those stark black pumps.

The Oscars - Purples & Blues

Hilary Swank, Amy Adams and Marisa Tomei sported dark blue.

I'm not feeling Hilary's feathery Gucci gown, it's too much and the whole feather hem thing is so 2009.

Amy Adams' sparkly cap-sleeve gown by L'Wren Scott evoked old Hollywood, especially with the hair but the emerald and diamonds were a bit of a turn off.

Marisa's dress was a vintage Charles James and it's not my favourite - the hemline is a little too much.

Natalie Portman wore a purple silk-chiffon Rodarte dress with an off-shoulder neckline. This particular shade of purple (more like plum) does wonders for pregnant celebrities! Jessica Alba wore a beautiful Marchesa gown to the Oscars in 2008 in a similar hue. I'm loving those swingy earrings from Tiffany & Co.

Scarlett Johansson wore a lacy Dolce & Gabbana dress with high neck and a drop down back (not pictured) - it's just too much lace for me.

A Whole Lotta Parties

So, two parties, lots of fabulous clothes.

First up, Jennifer Love Hewitt, wearing a black & white organza Paul Ka gown; I think she tried to do an Eva Mendes but it didn't quite work out. Eva Mendes herself, wore a pretty dark rose chiffon gown (possibly a Dior) and went jewelery-less, just adding a headband to the look. Nicole Richie's tassled black gown looked great, especially with the stacked bangles. But I'm not liking the hair-do, it reminds me too much of what Chloe Sevigny did earlier on in the week.

Anna Kendrick's navy Ramona Keveza dress looked great on the petite actress, she added some ankle-strap gold heels to the look. I'm in two minds over Olivia Wilde's nude gown - I love everything bust-upwards (including hair) but I can't say the same about the silky bottom part of the gown, it has the potential to look creased and not so polished. Mila Kunis wore a cute sparkly top & black trousers to the party, she stood out! And it's totally understandable if she became tired of wearing long gowns allll the time.

Kirsten Dunst wore a flowery Rodarte - it's great, just not very glamorous! Leighton Meester worked her edgy stuff in a cool Louis Vuitton dress - I like very much. Candice Accola looked all girly in an off-shoulder Tadashi Shoji gown.

Rachel Bilson wore colour! She won the battle right there in a peachy Zac Posen number which she paired with emerald green earrings, but I have berate on her about how she should have put her hair up in an elegant up-do! Camilla Belle stood out in a feathery cocktail dress with black Brian Atwoods - have yet to ID her dress and Diane Kruger maintained her style star status in a shimmery pale green mini by Azzaro, she finished the look off with a bright pink clutch and quirky pink heels.

More Premieres

Even more premieres! The TV show "Big Love" had its Season 2 premiere in Hollywood. Spotted: Ginnifer Goodwin & Chloe Sevigny. Chloe wore an edgy Rodarte dress with cutouts - not a fan at all (maybe if the cutout on her stomach wasn't there it would have looked better), and the strappy red Louboutins do not work with the dress. Also, Chloe's hair doesn't look good. Ginnifer looked lovely in a cute pink Valentino dress with nude Brian Atwoods. Zoe Saldana was seen at the premiere of her film, "Burning Palms" in Yves Saint Laurent - the skirt gets a big no from me though.
