Scarlett Johansson in Saint Laurent - 2013 Tony Awards

Scarlett Johansson attended the annual Tony Awards, held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City last night.

Unlike a lot of actors, who chose to dress rather flamboyantly, Scarlett opted for an all black look, consisting of a Saint Laurent dress with a lace neckline, covered up with a black blazer.

The only aspects of her look that I loved were the hair and beauty; the soft waves and deep, rich burgundy lip colour looked fabulous on Scarlet.  But the rest of her look was just plain.

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana - 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof ' Opening Night

Scarlett Johansson, who is currently starring in Broadway's 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' attended the opening night of the play in New York City last night.

Scarlett's been having a hit and miss time on the red carpet lately but she looked amazing in a head-to-toe black separates by Dolce & Gabbana. I love how the top highlights her waist and the entire look is formal yet effortless.

I absolutely loved her styling too - the red lips and turquoise Irene Neuwirth earrings bring real pizzazz to the all-black look.

I'm almost tempted to declare welcome back, Scarlett.

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana - 2012 Met Ball

Scarlett Johansson looked like what I imagine a fairytale princess would look like at this year's Met gala in NYC.

She was radiant in a custom, nude Dolce & Gabbana tulle gown with an off-shoulder neckline, a heavily embellished bodice and a frothy skirt.

The limp hair could have been better but I'm just glad she didn't wear a cocktail dress.

Scarlett Johansson in Preen - Hollywood Walk of Fame

Scarlett Johansson got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday in LA.

She attended the event in a Preen Fall 2012 dress.  The black and white dress with a micro flower pattern and checkered skirt looked really great on her.

Adding colour via the red lipstick and suede peep-toes, she completed the look with an interesting updo.

Scarlett Johansson in Prada - 'The Avengers' London Premiere

At the London premiere of 'The Avengers', Scarlet Johansson wore a dress by Prada.

This dress with a floral theme, also has lace detail and a peplum, so it's very much on trend.

While this is a big improvement on her Moscow premiere look, it's still lacking that red-carpet impact factor.

I do love her braided updo however and the bold eyelashes, which were accompanied by red lips.

Scarlett Johansson in Nina Ricci - 'The Avengers' Moscow Premiere

Scarlett Johansson premiered 'The Avengers' in Moscow last week.

She wore a Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2012 dress with a deep v-neck, velvet and lots of pleated ruffles.  I wasn't a fan of the dress as it's there's too much going on and can't say that it suited Scarlett.

Sleek, straight hair doesn't really suit Scarlett either and her accessories were bland too.

Scarlett Johansson in Versace - 'The Avengers' LA Premiere

Scarlett Johansson worked the everything out of her Versace LBD at the premiere of the much awaited 'The Avengers'.

The strapless Fall 2012 dress with a rounded neckline and peplum waist looked sleek and modern, quite the departure from Scarlett's usual girly frocks.

A strong updo, pink lips and amazing Giuseppe Zannoti heels completed her look.

Scarlett Johansson In Calvin Klein - 47th Golden Camera Awards

Scarlett Johansson walked the red carpet in Berlin for the Golden Camera Awards wearing a Calvin Klein gown.

The figure-hugging black dress with a strappy, open back and flared hem was amazing on Scarlett.  An updo, cat eyes, red lips, and Bulgari jewels completed her look.

Scarlett Johansson In Proenza Schouler - 'The Late Show with David Letterman'

Scarlett Johansson wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 dress for an appearance on 'The Late Show with David Letterman'.

The strapless cocktail dress with a geometric print bodice & teal coloured skirt highlighted those famous Johansson curves perfectly.

However, I would have kept the bodice long, it's more flattering like that.

An updo, red lips and white heels were the finishing touches.

Scarlett Johansson In Dolce & Gabbana - 'We Bought a Zoo' Premiere

Scarlet Johansson finally came out of a fashion funk at the premiere of her movie, 'We Bought a Zoo'.

She wore a Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012 dress, but of course.

The black bustier-skirt ensemble is perfect on her, and I love the retro hair do.

Sparkling earrings, perfect make-up and ankle-strap Dolce & Gabbana heels were the finishing touches.

2011 Guys Choice Awards

Spike TV's 5th annual Guy's Choice Awards took place Saturday night at the Sony Pictures Studios in California and was fêted by a host of actresses.

Scarlett Johansson put on a cute Valentino dress, with strappy heels.
I'm not so much into that hair style though.

Upcoming British actress (and established model) Rosie Huntingdon Whitely wore a plunge neck white dress by The Row, accessorising it with slinky gold accessories.

Minka Kelly wore a fitted cobalt blue cocktail dress by Fendi with blush pink suede Brian Atwoods. At first glance I thought she had gone jewelery-less but then saw those thin gold bangles on her right arm (I do like the bangles, this look would have been boring without them).

Mila Kunis stood out in a printed shirtdress by Lanvin, which she accessorised with a Bottega Venneta knot clutch and nude peeptoes.

Eva Mendes looked gorgeous in a lilac Roland Mouret number which she wore with a statement gold necklace.

2011 White House Correspondants' Dinner

Spotted: A whole lot of actors and actresses looking their glamorous best at the White House Correspondants' Dinner, in DC on Saturday night.

Salma Hayek wore a strapless, beaded black column gown with an ornate necklace and a bouffant. As nice as the gown is, it's not very well fitted! Needs to be hitched up a notch.

Scarlett Johansson rebelled against the conventional floor-skimming gown style in a pale blue cocktail dress by Elie Saab. Despite it not being a gown, the dress is elegant and Scarlett looked great!

Mila Kunis worked that Versace gown! The actress looked smokin' in the structured number, complete with gold button detail. I also like the fierce hair and make up.

Rashida Jones brought a bolt of blue, in this strapless silk gown which she wore with dangly enamel earrings. I'm not a fan of those nude ankle strap heels, they seem too fussy; a simpler peeptoe would have fared better.

Nina Dobrev, in an ivory silk Dolce & Gabbana dress looked divine! I love the soft hairstyle and make up and that Chopard diamond necklace looks beautiful.

Her boyfriend Ian Somerhalder looked so handsome in the black suit!

Brooklyn Decker surprised me by going natural with her make up! The model turned actress wore a red Giambattista Valli gown with an interesting bodice. I like.

The Oscars - Purples & Blues

Hilary Swank, Amy Adams and Marisa Tomei sported dark blue.

I'm not feeling Hilary's feathery Gucci gown, it's too much and the whole feather hem thing is so 2009.

Amy Adams' sparkly cap-sleeve gown by L'Wren Scott evoked old Hollywoo
d, especially with the hair but the emerald and diamonds were a bit of a turn off.

Marisa's dress was a vintage Charles James and it's not my favourite - the hemline is a little too much.

Natalie Portman wore a purple silk-chiffon Rodarte dress with an off-shoulder neckline. This particular shade of purple (more like plum) does wonders for pregnant celebrities! Jessica Alba wore a beautiful Marchesa gown to the Oscars in 2008 in a similar hue. I'm loving those swingy earrings from Tiffany & Co.

Scarlett Johansson wore a lacy Dolce & Gabbana dress with high neck and a drop down back (not pictured) - it's just too much lace for me.

Golden Globes - Other Trends

Here are some of the other trends that were seen on the red carpet at the 2011 Golden Globes.

*Click on the pictures for a clearer look

Blue was a major colour of the evening. Mandy Moore wore
Monique Lhuillier again and it worked again! Although I wish she'd put her hair up so we could see the gauzy one shoulder. Amber Riley's glittery Oliver Tolentino dress made her look like a total diva, but I was not a fan of Jenna Uschkowitz' cornflower blue Rebecca Taylor gown, it seemed very ordinary. Amy Adams was elegance personified in a navy Marchesa dress.

Black also made its presence felt; Jayma Mays wore Alberta Ferretti but I hated the hair and make up, the eyes especially! Julia Stiles showed up on the red carpet after a long time in a Ramona Keveza gown (kinda similar to Mandy Moore's) but I was left a little disappointed with Halle Berry's black Nina Ricci dress, it was from the 2008 collection and I don't understand why she didn't go with something from the current collection. It's not as if the 2008 dress was jaw-droppingly amazing or anything...

Green was seen on both Angelina Jolie (in Atelier Versace), Mila Kunis (in Vera Wang) & Catherine Zeta Jones (pictured) who walked with husband Michael Douglas (who's recovering after battling throat cancer) in a forest green Monique Lhuillier confection. The colour looked great on her and I liked the way she wore her hair, it made her look almost regal.

More neutral shade wearers - Heather Morris in a very pale gold Lorena Sabu number, Naya Rivera in a strapless pale pink Douglas Hannant column dress and Scarlett Johansson in a sparkly Elie Saab dress that seemed to almost meld with her skin! Not a fan of Scarlett's hairstyle though.

Comic Con Sightings

Comic-Con took place last week and there were a lot of celeb sightings! Fashion faves: Natalie Portman and Eva Mendes. Portman looked very au naturel in a pastel coloured look and Longoria looked her glam best in a snazzy gold dress. Angelina and Scarlet (in Dolce and Gabbana) stuck to black, but Scarlet fared better, so radiant! Blake Lively was my least favourite, in head to toe Preen. Those balloon pants again! Also, way too much cleavage. Sometimes less is more Blake!
