Alexa Chung in Christopher Kane - 2012 Scottish Fashion Awards

Alexa Chung attended the Scottish Fashion Awards in Glasgow on Monday night where she was given the hosting duties.

She looked chic in a Christopher Kane Spring 2012 dress.  The grey and brown, floral print dress was worn over a crisp white button down, jazzed up with a jeweled collar.

Instead of wearing metallic sandals/pumps, Alexa went for suede Gucci 'Mischa' heels with tassel detail and completed her look with beautiful make-up.

Alexa Chung in Moschino - 2012 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

Alexa Chung wore a Moschino Fall 2012 dress to the Royal Academy Summer exhibition opening in London last evening.

The black and white dress with gold button detail was charming and sweet on Alexa, who wore it with simple ankle-strap black pumps.

But what caught my attention was her cute Charlotte Olympia 'Flamingo' clutch. I'm obsessed with flamingos right now.

Alexa Chung wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 ensemble to this year's Met Gala in NYC.  I liked this low-key look from her.

She wore a prim white shirt under an off-shoulder, striped black sheath.

Fresh make-up, the See by Chloe bunny bag and lace-up heels completed her look.

Alexa Chung in Chanel - Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival

Britain was present at the Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in NYC last night in the form of Alexa Chung.

She of course, wore a Chanel dress.  It was a head-to-toe black affair for Alexa that included a textured black dress, tights, sandals and a purse.

There was nothing to love or hate about her look but what I did notice was that her hair looked brushed and conditioned, for a change.

Fashion Roundup

Jennifer Lopez is looking amazing on 'American Idol' these days.

It was a skirt & top by Maria Lucia Hohan for her once and then she wore a neon pink Michael Kors Resort 2012 gown on another night.  You might remember the pink gown on Brooklyn Decker at the Met Ball last year (click here).

Alexa Chung wore a Bella Freud sweater with a flower print Celine Resort 2012 skirt at the Annual British Designers Collective in London with Nicholas Kirkwood loafers.

January Jones was busy in NYC, promoting the new season of 'Mad Men'; she stopped by the New York Times in a lacy top, khaki coloured leather skinnies and a blazer.  I like that she pulled her hair back on this occasion.

Looks like Diane Kruger is favouring the pyjama trend. She stepped out in West Hollywood in this pyjama-esque green shirt with white piping that she wore with cropped leather pants & nude pointy pumps - so effortless.

Olivia Palermo attended the Gala Spa Awards in a white Tibi gown with a plunging neckline - she kept her accessories simple to let the dress take centre stage.

Nicole Richie celebrated her cover of a magazine in a neutral Todd Lynn dress which looked good on her but was creased a little too much for my liking.  As usual, House of Harlow accessories and Louboutins completed her look.

Nicole stepped out in Miami for a little R&R in a pyjama-esque House of Harlow ensemble.  I think it's breezy and comfy, so appropriate for vacation wear.

Alexa Chung In Valentino - 2012 NME Awards

Alexa Chung wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 dress to the NME Awards in London.

The dark blue dress with tulle and lace tiers is very girly - something Alexa rarely wears.  But she does wear it well.

My only complaint is regarding those black platform Prada sandals she loves - they don't work with this dress.

Celebs at Burberry Fall 2012 Show - London Fashion Week

Alexa Chung took in the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012 show at LFW in a navy trench from the label that she paired with menswear-inspired separates; I like her side ponytail & fresh make-up.

Indian actress & fashionista Sonam Kapoor sat front row at the show.  She wore a dove grey, pleated dress, topping it with a Spring 2012 trench from the label.  Sonam completed the look with a neat hairstyle, large earrings and gorgeous heels. Loving her yellow nail colour!

Kate Bosworth left everyone behind in a Fall 2012 ensemble (the owl-print top & pencil skirt formed a major part of the collection). A  messy hairstyle, tan suede booties and a textured clutch completed her look.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore a light colour knit sweater top with maroon pants and donned a grey jacket to keep herself warm.  The brand's bag and heels were the finishing touches.

Stella McCartney Special Presentation - London Fashion Week

Rihanna glammed up in a teal coloured, very risky silk gown for a special presentation by Stella McCartney during London Fashion Week.  The styling - gold collar, bangles etc. - is similar to her Grammys look (click here), but who's complaining when she looks this great, right?

Alexa Chung also attended the event, in a strapless black silk ballgown by Stella McCartney. Alexa doesn't usually do gowns so this was a good change but the fact that she went completely accessory-less irks me.

Alexa Chung wore Stella McCartney for the Elle Style Awards.

She showed us how to wear a pant-suit perfectly in this grey ensemble.  The crisp white shirt, the gold pin, the bag, the pumps are all perfect.  And how cool is that jacquard patch at the bottom of the pants?

Alexa Chung In Chanel - Chanel 'Numeros Prives' Las Vegas Exhibition

At the Chanel event, Alexa Chung wore Chanel of course.

The sleeveless, powder blue dress had silver buttons, pockets and tiers.  It's typically flirty, and girly but Alexa wears it well, with black bow sandals and a textured silver clutch.  

I kind of wish she'd do something different with her hair though.

Alexa Chung In Marc Jacobs - 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' Appearance

Alexa Chung wore a sparkling new Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 coat for an appearance on Jimmy Fallon'.

The model turned host talked about her new US television show called '24 Hour Catwalk', which features fashion people like Derek Blasberg & Cynthia Rowley competing to finish a catwalk collection in just one day, hence the number 24, as you would have guessed.

Alexa wore the perforated metallic coat as a dress, with opaque tights & silver heels from the runway.

I, for one, totally adore this look on her.

Alexa Chung In Burberry - Burberry Boutique Opening

Alexa Chung was in Paris, decked out in Burberry for the launch of label's boutique.

She wore a dark blue shortened trench over a pleated black dress that had a thigh-high split.

It isn't the most awe-inspiring ensemble but the accessories make such a difference - note the black clutch, coral nail polish, gold cocktail ring and those fabulous gold platforms.

Alexa Chung chose a Christopher Kane Spring 2012 mini, for the British Fashion Awards.

Alexa wore the embellished dress with a barely-mint satin bottom with her favourite cat flats by Charlotte Olympia and the sparkly clutch from the runway.

Couture Week Continues

Haute Couture Week continued in Paris, with showings from Chanel, Valentino, Stephane Rolland and more (my personal favourite is the Chanel collection).

Stars continued to flock the shows too; Alexa Chung and Diane Kruger attended the Chanel show, wearing designs from the collection.

Alexa's shoes didn't win me over but Diane looked perfectly chic as always.

Anne Hathaway took in the Valentino collection, along with Amanda Peet.

Anne's black dress was all serene and floaty, but she added drama with the red lips.

Amanda's lilac dress is a beautiful colour but the fit isn't that great.

Cannes Day 2

The premiere of "Sleeping Beauty" & "Restless" took place on day two of the Cannes Film Festival and the red carpet turnout was splendid.

I was wondering whether Diane Kruger had been invited this year, and was fervently hoping that she was. Thank the fashion gods, she was invited and as always did not disappoint. The shimmery Calvin Klein gown almost looks like liquid gold! Love the red lip and messy hair do too.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan worked that Armani Privé gown like no one's business! She wore a geometric cuff and wore her hair in a high top knot.

Rachel McAdams got bored of those elaborate red carpet gowns and went for this gold/tan Monique Lhuillier outfit consisting of an embellished bustier top and high waisted bottoms. Opinions may be divided on this look but I'm going for a like!

Alexa Chung wore a structured white dress with black heels, it's a pretty simple look... a little too simple actually.

Mia Wasikowska wore a deep red Roland Mouret dress with dangly diamond earrings - a clean, simple look again but I wish she'd have some fun considering her age, this look is too rigid.

Vanessa Hudgens surprised me by turning up at a Calvin Klein party. She looked good in a lime green asymmetric dress with white heels from the label; the colour pops against her skin and I'm glad she left her "messy" look at home.


Aishwarya Rai attended a photocall for a recently announced movie, called "Heroine" in a great day look! She wore a tan trench dress from Lanvin with black heels from the label.

Blake Lively & co were in the south of France enjoying the Chanel Cruise Collection 2011 (very pretty, I must say).

Rachel Bilson stood out from the pretty pastels in this edgy monochromatic ensemble. She wore leather shorts with a white beaded top, threw a blazer on and carried a quilted Chanel clutch - what's not to like?

Alexa Chung was also there, mixing her labels in a pastel pink Chanel maxi dress, worn with Louis Vuitton kitten heels.

Clemence Poesy wore a lemon yellow tweed confection (Chanel, of course) with champagne peeptoes and clutch, so chic!

The party in NYC continued long after we saw the photographs. Here are some more looks from the after party and some from the red carpet.

Models Jessica Stam and Chanel Iman looked fabulous!

Jessica looked like a real-life doll in a blush coloured Tommy Hilfiger dress with an asyymetrical hem. It was a sweet look, from the colour of the dress to the hairstyle but she added some edge with those silver heels.

Chanel Iman wore a white lacy dress by Dolce & Gabbana, very much on trend this summer! She finished off the look with red lipstick and those killer spikey Louboutins.

Alexa Chung represented Britain in a glittery Christopher Kane mini, worn with Prada platforms. The dress is cute but seemed too simple for the event.

Jessica Szohr also wore a Topshop dress; I thought it was an overkill! The shoes were a little unecessary, a simpler heel could have made the dress stand out more.

Michelle Monaghan attended the after party in a full sleeve, candy pink Derek Lam gown. It looks good on Michelle as her hair adds an edge.

Diane Kruger wore Jason Wu later too, but this cocktail dress didn't do it for me. The feathers are simply too overwhelming.

Coachella Cute

So, Coachella music fest is in full swing in California! This means lots and lots of trends to be seen! Short, summer dresses seemed to be popular this year, accessorised with chunky, ethnic-looking necklaces and colourful scarves.

Both Alexa Chung & supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio wore such dresses. Alexa wore a long silver necklace and added black sandals.

Alessandra's look was my favourite! I love the light Rebecca Taylor dressed, but love the way she's made the look so lively even more! The fringed scarf and roughened boots look great.

Diane Kruger looked all calm and breezy in her pale maxi skirt, worn with a black tank and spruced with a trilby and cool necklace.

Kate Bosworth worked the short shorts look, with an American flag print tank and flat boots. It was a very no fuss look from her.

Lea Michelle was seen at a party sponsored by Lacoste, wearing a red & pink rugby-striped tunic with tall yellow & cork wedges. I'm not too crazy about the tunic.

Nicole Richie also did denim shorts but balanced the look with a billowy, printed blouse and black sandals.

Fashion Roundup

I'm really liking Kim K's casual/semi-casual style of late. She knows what looks good on her and her looks are always so well co-ordinated in terms of accessories! She wore this black & white ensemble while dining out in LA. The waist-cinching belt matches her clutch & nude Louboutins! Everything lies in the detail.

Kristen Bell talked at the Alzheimer's Association benefit event wearing a bedazzled sheath by Sea with rosey metallic Brian Atwoods. It's perhaps a little too glitzy for a charity event but there's no denying that she looks great.

Nicky Hilton was at a brand's do wearing a very Nicole Richie-esque ensemble! The kimono top, long gold necklace, high heels... no complains though. Nicky's make up is fresh and clean and that makes this look work.

Alexa Chung, at a GQ magazine event looked pretty great in burgundy jeans, a polka-dot top, a long blazer and the Chanel quilted purse.

At the John Varvatos Stuart House event in LA, Jayma Mays looked cute in a day look. She paired a white v-neck, sleeveless tank with a tan calf-length skirt. The straw bag is a nice relaxed touch and the black bow matches perfectly with her black flats!

Zoe Saldana too attended the event in a casual jeans look. The leather jacket is soft-looking and those leopard print heels add some pizzazz.

Jessica Alba went all edgy at an event in head-to-toe Proenza Schouler. It's all crazy but it's Proenza!

Malin Akerman was at a Rag & Bone opening wearing a white dress by the brand with edgy heels - it's minimal yet edgy.
